19 Miss Mystic Falls

Stefanie's POV

After four days of practice, the day of the pageant came. Since that day, is no sign of Evelyn, and Klaus said is the best to ignore her. Then, she will do a move.

So, she is kind of forgotten. Now I'm at home with my mum, packing my dress, and ready to go to the Maxwell mansion for the Pageant. I'm so excited!

Elijah's POV

Today is the day of The Miss Mystic Falls Pageant. A special day for Stefanie. Truth to be told, I never escorted anyone into this pageant. Never. And this is a special day for me too.

Now I'm getting ready. The pageant starts in two hours.

The door of my room knocked.

- Come in!- I said, fixing my tie.

- Oh, look at this gentleman here!- Stefanie said, coming towards me.

- Stefanie, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be getting ready for the pageant?- I asked her.

- No. I quitted from the pageant. It wasn't for me. It was for my mum's sake. So I decided for one time in my life, not to listen to my mum. - she said, coming closer to me.

- Why? You were so excited for it! All these days you kept saying that you wanted to win, and even if you didn't it wasn't a big deal. Anyway, if that's your decision...I respect it.

- Fantastic. Now, let's have some fun, huh?- she said, and kissed me passionately.

I kissed her back. We began to tear off each other's clothes. I was kissing every inch of her body.

- Turn off your phone, we don't want anyone to ruin our moment, right?- Stefanie said.

- Um, okay, yeah.- I said and turned off my phone.

We continued having sex, I didn't know why, but I was so horny since she came in my room.

Niklaus wasn't home, he said that he would go to the pageant earlier, to help. After a couple of minutes, he will realise that Stefanie isn't there.

Stefanie's POV

Where the hell was Elijah? He said that he'll be my date here. He is not answering any of my calls or texts. Oh, no, it's Thea's turn and then mine.

And Elijah is still, nowhere to be seen.

Thea's date, is the boy she likes, Scott. He has asked her to be her date in this pageant. Of course, she said yes.

And she is walking down the stairs, with a beautiful, red dress. Her black, curly hair were straight now, and she looked like a star.

- Miss Stefanie Salvatore, escorted by Mr. Elijah Mikaelson.- Mr. Maxwell said.

I walked down the stairs. Elijah wasn't there. Everybody was clapping their hands.

My mum and dad were there, with a concerned look in their eyes. They were looking for Elijah.

I faked a smile, and walked down the stairs. Then Klaus came out of nowhere, and he offered me his hand.

Thank God! I was not going to be embarrassed in front of all those people! I smiled to Klaus and took his hand.

- Where is Elijah?- I whispered to him.

- I don't know!- he whispered me.

Then we walked to the garden when all the girls and their escorts were.

- What is she doing with Klaus?!- I heard my mum say.

- I have absolutely no idea.- my father said, staring at us.

We joined them, ready to begin the dance.

Klaus was wearing a suit, and he looked very beautiful. I was wearing a blue dress. My hair were now wavy curls, and I looked just fine.

The music began. My heart was beating very, very fast. I didn't know why, because I was saved by Klaus, and now everything is gonna be alright, but I was nervous.

We began to dance. Surprisingly, Klaus knew all the moves. I hadn't seen him practice for that dance anywhere, but...I don't know.

He was looking me in the eyes and so did I.

When his hand touched my waist, I shivered. Thank god he didn't notice it. I was looking him in the eye all the time. I couldn't help but smile. He smiled me back.

Now was the time.

- May I have your attention please?- Meredith said.

Everybody stopped dancing and turned their attention to her.

- Without further ado, It is my honour, to announce our very own Miss Mystic Falls, Miss. Stefanie Salvatore!

That hit me. I was Miss Mystic Falls! I was so happy. I hugged Klaus.

- Thank you, for not letting me embarrass myself in front of all these people.- I whispered in his ear.

- Yeah, of course.- he said and hugged me back.

Everyone was clapping their hands.

- Congratulations!- Thea said, and hugged me. She didn't seem jealous or sad, in the contrary, she seemed happy. And I was happy I had that friend.

- Thanks!- I said.

My mum and dad came and hugged me, and everyone else.

Then I turned to Klaus.

- Let's go to your house, maybe Elijah is there.- I said to him.

- Okay.

- He must have a great explanation for all this!- I said to myself, but of course, Klaus heard it with his vampire-super-hearing.

Elijah's POV

I was in bed with Stefanie by my side. Then, the front door knocked.

I dressed, and got downstairs.

- Brother? Stefanie?! Oh no! - I said when I opened the door.

- Why didn't you come to The Miss Mystic Falls today?- Niklaus asked me.

- She came! Pretending to be Stefanie! She told me that she quit the pageant and that we should have some fun! And then...- Elijah said, but Klaus interrupted him.

- We don't wanna know the glory details brother. And all the time you thought it was Stefanie?!

- Elijah! You of all people should've known that she wasn't me. If not from the looks, then from the way she speaks, or behaved...You of all people should've noticed! If it wasn't for Klaus, I would've been embarrassed on front of all those people!- Stefanie said.

- I can't believe this! I have...all the day with Evelyn and I didn't even notice she wasn't you! How can you quit from that pageant! Oh, god, so dumb...- I said, mostly to myself.

- We warned you before! What she did to Thea! I told you!- Stefanie said, anger and sadness im her eyes.

- Oh, you should be Stefanie! Nice to meet you! Finally!
