9 chapter 8: word from scouts & a new

it's been 3 days since the first experiment and I had the hunters continue catch any monsters. I was quite pleased with the results report said the hunter that I did the experiment on with the strongest and best hunter of the village and how meaning of Veteran Hunters had came to me asking what did I do to him. I had told them what I did and offered to do the same for them. they accepted not wanting to be shown up by youngin I had to use the same creature for them as well the spike wolf. then I started to think about what if I mixed multiple monster DNA with my own blood and gave it to someone how much would they change. but my thoughts today have been cut off when I saw one of the stones that were sent out Breathing heavily as he looked at me and then spoke.

" my Lord I have word about what seems to be a army easily a hundred men maybe even more. and they're coming this way and they seem like they're ready for a fight."

I nodded as I placed my hand on his shoulder as I spoke.

" well go tell all the guards everyone we may have a battle on our hands."

as I walk past them he ran off to do as I told him as I began to walk towards the front gate and stand there watching the Horizon. as I could start to see men on horses as I looked back to the Village all the soldiers seemed ready for a fight I sign cuz I didn't want to kill people. monsters one thing but people they would be useful to me. I saw one of the men on horses start galloping towards the front gate and shouted.

" I am the Squire to Lord Darren we are here to occupy and take over your small village surrender now and you will be spared."

many of the soldiers seemed scared but I simply looked at them and then I spoke to him.

" get lost kid or you will be the one to die I could easily kill you and half of your Army on my own."

the squires seemed insulted by my words but then he looked into my eyes hold that with nothing but murderous intent it made him hesitate for a bit before continuing to speak.

" then you have chosen death."

before he could say anything more I pulled an Ax from my belt and tossed it straight into his head. I could tell the Army the saw this were angry but I could see their leaders face he was shocked on how mercilessly I killed him as I start to stare at them my eyes glowing slight red. which caught their leaders attention. they seem to be setting up a war camp men's townspeople look scary they didn't like how I just blatantly just declared war against an army with us only having about 60 people and only half of the people have any weapon. I spoke calmly to the guards.

" get the Beast ready to be released in the dead of night we will release them. this will weaken their forces and then those who are willing to fight by my side will charge to the camp and finish them off."

I said with my cold glare which seemed to give everyone a chill up their spine. my protege with a smile not and begin to get things ready I stand there waiting a few minutes as I looked over and saw all the cages were ready. I sat down near the gate closing my eyes and waited for Nightfall. I saw the hunters that I had done the experiments on standing ready with my protege with them. I looked up and saw the night sky I smile. I raised my hand swinging it down the soldiers who had the cages posted on the walls. we're open the spike wolfs were released and they seem to charge straight toward the camp. I smiled as I watched as me and my protege could hear the soldiers screens calling for backup I watch the night handsome vision and I saw them barely able to kill that small pack. we still had monsters like hobgoblins bugbears and normal goblins ready to be released for battle. I smiled as I jumped off of the wall being followed by the hunters and my protege as we charged towards the champ with my blade drawing I use my inhuman speed test Sprint to the camp and I arrive there within a few seconds jumping into the center of it as I saw me the soldier shaking many of them were poisoned. from the spike wolves Venom. soon more screams could be heard as my small group enter the camp killing the leader seemed scared they weren't expecting them to be this soundly defeated as he shouted and this caught everyone's attention.

" we surrender no more bloodshed please. these men have families!!!"

as I put two fingers in my mouth and whistled loudly the screaming could be heard no longer. this Lord dropped to his knees and he looked paler than snow. I slowly began to approach him as many of the soldiers around me were too scared to act.

" why should I not kill all of you for your arrogance of threatening me and my people?"

the Lord looked up with eyes full of Sorrow as he spoke.

" we are trying to eliminate The Necromancer who is been destroying villages we heard yours of the closest to his last known location so we were going to set up camp here and launch an attack on him he destroyed too many human Villages and there's only the two great human Citys practically left. and The Villages immediately close to them."

I shoved my blade into the ground in front of him. I stared at him coldly as I maintained eye contact.

" you are after The witchmonger. I am one of his Creations I am a vampire and I do not yield any one I offer you my power but I exchange you and your men will spread word about our village. how we defeated you and your men with only 7 men and a small pack of beasts. and that my goal is to reunite all and reform the Grand Empire. then you.... you will have to pay a price regardless of what I've already previously stated. for your man lives."

he began to cry thinking about his men death but then his eyes widened as he realized the small pack of geese that attack them were only five creatures but could take out twenty men but more so than that they had lost seven men in a small pack of 5 beasts. but then his face turned serious as then he realized he still had to pay a price as well a vampire exists now in the current ERA.

" and what is this price?"

I smiled as I stared him down lifting my arm I gestured to the blade slowly dragging it down the sharpened blade.

" you...you will become one of my children. you will drink of my blood and become a young vampire."

many of his soldiers face pale as they heard the price then the Lord was equally shocked and terrified. everyone remain silent until I spoke.

" decide your man's life or your life as a human which will end."

the Lord look at his men and many of his men look like they didn't want their lord to take this deal. but the Lord valuing his Men's Life over his own he grabbed my bleeding risk and pray for my blood many of his men close their eyes. I was pleasantly surprised and now I could see he genuinely value his Men's Life.

" you gave up your human life not out of the desire for immortality or power you did it to save your man's life you have honor and I respect that. so my order to you is Strive forward to make your men's lives the best they can be and be ready when I give the call to Arms against the witchmonger."

as I spoke the Lord skin start turning pale his eyes turning red. many of his soldiers began to cry for the Lord who gave up his human life for them he had provoked absolute loyalty from them end because of this I believe they wouldn't betray him ever. especially since he just gave up his human life for them. as he stopped drinking my blood he stood up feeling so much more powerful.

" now go my child complete the order I've given you."

he nodded as he spoke up to all his men.

" retrieve the Dead we will give them proper burials when we return home. on our way back to the great City astric I will begin riding the condolence letters."

all of his troops nodded and began moving out I began walking away from him I heard him speak.

" when you talked of The Necromancer your voice had hate in it I could sense that even as a human what has he done to you to deserve such hate they even muttering his title you despised him fully."

I looked at him calmly and I figured I should at least give him an answer to this question.

" I used to be a guard to Village I lived a happy life until he appeared one day he wiped out everyone of my Village including me but I arrived as a vampire... he had took everyone away from me I despised him for that. I learned feeling my Village wasn't the first. and many people abandon their homes to try and Escape this monster. I'm going to make him pay."

I continue to walk now making my way back to town my protege and the hunters followed me I looked over to the hunters and began to speak to them.

" my great hunter you will go out the capture more monsters and even going Beyond this region if need be for newer monster. you will also go and recruit anyone you can and when you return with the monsters and the new people you will rest and then I would like one of you to try and begin taming some of the Wild beasties."

they nodded calmly as they begin to run off in different directions me and my protege were left walking towards the Village. my protege beat as i saw a strange black mark appear on his chest.

" my master do you think I will be able to evolve soon?"

I stared at the black mark focusing on it as I started feeling Whispers.

" soon soon he'll need to drink more of your blood to grow further."

I smiled as I can continue to walk as I would speak to him.

" I would believe so soon maybe in the next week or so. though I wonder what kind of evolution you will go through and what would you gain from it."

I smiled as I continue to walk calmly looking up at the night sky it looks quite a lot like that night. the night where my human life ended and I woke as a vampire. even though I hate the witchmonger. I am happy about the power I gained. my life changed from a simple 9 to 5 guard-duty to being the Lord of a village and just took down an army. then again my fighting force wasn't human. even though I took down an army.
