4 chapter 3: decent expansion

the large Caravan began making its way to the Village as most of the village seems to be wondering what is this Caravan. as I saw the three Caravan Masters standing ahead of us which within a few minutes we would be at the village and the lead wagon would Stop as I would step out from behind the wagon with a smile on my face.

" do not worry I have convinced some people to join us hope you don't mind?"

the Caravan leaders seemed to gesture for me to follow them as I did I noticed we had a small frame of a town hall already built witch made my smile bigger. as many of the guards seemed to be talking with the members of each wagon trying to figure out what's happening well my protege seems to stand quietly. and also seems to be actually quite menacing to most of the people. we were a few feet away from where we started our little walk when we were now standing in front of the Town Hall. when one of the Caravan Masters would speak.

" what's the story with that group and how did you convince them to join us?"

I began to speak

" well when I went on top of the hill when I saw smoke and I ended up finding them. they were a caravan of villagers looking for a new home since Bandits destroyed their Old Village. I felt pity for them so I off them a place amongst us figuring the more of us there were unless likely would be under attacked by Bandits. and I meant we would be able to protect ourselves better against Monsters and the developing of the village would go much faster. I know it probably wasn't the best idea to invite them without consulting you three but I assure you I only have the best intentions on what I have done."

the three men seem to nod and understandment of what I was doing in one of them spoke up.

" I understand what you doing we all do and you're not wrong about those points you with me on why you invited them. but do you know anything about them or if they were telling the truth?"

the other two men and I nod in understandment. but then the remaining man who hadn't gotten to speak yet would begin to.

" even if they are not telling the truth he would be very smart into helping us out since if we show them kindness such as take them in and you won't likely Petraeus and bandits aren't really smart enough to plan out something as complex as this. and even if they were I do believe the stories of our friend here are true. besides he wears the armor of the old Royal guards. if you want an honest and chivalrous Knight you wouldn't be allowed to even own one set of it even a piece of it they are typically also good judges of character able to assess a threat and plot out a good course actions if he's taking the time to judge them on their words and behavior if they're telling the truth or not we should trust him. not to mention the old Royal guards are some of the best fighters in all of the old empire. capable of taking down a fortress on their own with just one month so we shouldn't have much to worry about. and the terms of getting rid of them if they turn out they are Bandits in the end anyway."

I smiled a little bit as all of the men in our smaller group we're in agreement I guess it was a good thing that I grabbed my father's old armor and sword. though I will have to get a blacksmiths to refitted and make sure everything's up to date in the terms of durability. we for ended up traveling to the Caravan as I smiled as I shouted.

" all right you all you can start unpacking your things start asking around what needs help with and help out as much as you can any of you who would like to pick up the job as a guard of the village commune with the other guards so you can get to know your comrades. those of you who are Hunters go out now after you found a suitable place to camp to start hunting and to see if you can find anything noticeable and the terms of tracks from animals or Monsters the more information we have about the surrounding area the better."

all the Caravan seems to nod and begins moving out falling directions except for my protege who seems to step towards me.

" and what of me I'm good at carrying things and fighting and I prefer getting more specific orders."

the three Caravan Masters seem to be a bit frightened by the tall stature of this man but I smiled and spoke calmly.

" go to the top of the Cliff face and stay there for a bit to act as a lookout in case we come under attack and if you can take one of the villagers who are good with ink and parchment so they can start mapping out the area. if we have a map then it'll be easier to Traverse and get a hold on to the lay of the land."

my protege nods as he begins moving towards the village as one of the three Caravan Master spoke up.

" never once in my life I have seen such a mountain of a man. glad he's on our side he can probably hit pretty hard."

I smiled as without thinking I spoke out loud though I was doing this on purpose.

" this is not just the beginning of a village this is the beginning of a new Empire a new age of peace and prosperity from the smallest Huts to the Grand castles & towers that we will see in the future it all begins here. made those above us favorite us and made those below us carrying those who have passed on to a peaceful rest."

I looked into the corner of my eye looking at the three Caravans Masters and they seem to have a look of Hope and at all of my words. but why I could see in their eyes was hope and determination to make such a statement a reality. they began to move out the three Caravan Masters to help make everything go as planned as the girl I saved approached me with a smile. she didn't say any words but I could tell the look in her eyes say she approved my actions she went away as I walked around the village helping whatever was needed then I grabbed a ask so I could go chop down some trees. the town hall wasn't the only building with a frame already constructed. what seems to be the beginnings of a blacksmith was also framed up what seemed to be a very large Warehouse on the other side of the river underneath the Cliff face seemed to be where they were going to store all their resources. which was smart then I noticed what seems to be the constructions of watch Towers they were only about six feet off the ground but they would help. as I use mine hand sign to look over the field I see traps already being laid out. seems like the people here have took in my words to Heart and are putting my plans into action. two guards approached me they were very green one of them spoke up.

" we want orders we can't just sit on our asses walking around doing nothing. give us orders and will complete them."

I had a rather large smile on my face these two Greenies where wanting to get to work a lot quicker.

" all right get into less restricting armor or just a few pieces back and wherever your camp that grab a axe and come with me to chop down some trees we're going to need more lumber after all and if you want you can gather some other men to accompany us to the forest so we could gather more lumber a lot quicker now get moving green we don't got all day and the world won't stop until we're ready."

they both nodded and began moving off as I began moving towards the Fortress as I thought about it I shouted towards the two Greenies.

" make sure to get a wagon so it'll be a lot easier to transport the lumber back to the Village!!!."

I could tell they both hear me as they nodded then I started making my way towards the forest without much worrying I was walking at a rather slow pace that would be my usual Pace back when I was human about 12 steps every three seconds. which now with my in human body I could make about 50 steps every 3 seconds now. but I chose to go at a slow pace as I use my enhanced senses and vision to look around to see if I noticed anything. besides the few occasional animals I would see and their network of veins I didn't see much that would catch my attention. and it took me about 5 to 10 minutes to get to the forest on my own as I was walking I looked back and saw the two Greenies with a group of men all look like they were ready for a hard days work. some of them had armor on just in case we encountered any trouble. but they went fairly lighten their equipment load which was very smart. they had a wagon being pulled by two horses it was a much larger wagon than what was used to transport there tools supplies and their people. when traveling to the location of where the village was beginning to be made. I continue to look forward as I noticed something in the distance it was a group of rather short creatures but they did seem to be intelligent could be a group of low-threat monsters. or maybe some of the Woodland Sprites playing around. Jack didn't know but he knew one thing he had to be ready for a fight he took one more look behind him and he does the group of men had wooden Shields and some long swords and short stories equipped with them which was smart in case we ran into trouble and they had to defend themselves. I ended up picking up the pace instead of 12 steps it was Now 36 steps every 3 seconds. tripling of the pace he had he quickly move towards the forest as soon as he was out of the view of the men who were coming to help him cut down trees he would transform into bats to go look to see what was that group. when he got there and his bats were hanging from a tree. what he saw was a group of four goblins so there were many different types of goblin specifically the most well-known being three of them the green-skinned goblin the Hobgoblin and the bugbear. they were for green skin goblins but then what caught Jack's I the most was there was one Hobgoblin. the three types of goblins usually fight against each other with the green-skinned goblins being the weakest of the three but if they're not attacking each other this could be an issue. meaning that there was possibly a small horde. because when the three types of goblins meet at the same time it typically means a horde will be formed. tho this Regent of the consonant is the lowest in population of goblins. there is an extremely low chance of a horde beginning here but the likelihood of that horde really surviving long enough to get very big like an army worth of men was extremely low. specifically because there were only three ways of entering this region without having to deal with very dangerous monsters every step of the way the first being a by boat even then you still had a high chance of countering high Threat Level monsters every so often but not nearly as frequently as going a different way besides the three ways. the second way was over the volcano going through a build path of stone. that was mainly built by the dwarves to be one of their great cities though during the last Great War it was poured into ruins though it's great Road Still Remains even the magic wards that ward off monsters still stand strong. the last way of the three is the lowest risk out of all of them and that would be the Boneyard. during the last Great War a necromancer rise who raised the corpse of a dragon and an army of Undead they were defeated at that Boneyard a great valley that even to this day monsters and most humans are afraid of even stepping a single toe on to that cursed ground. don't know when chooses to go through their if because no one knows. undead still walking those ground though I probably couldn't have much troubles since I am a undead creature myself. eventually flu away from where those goblins were about a few feet into the forest transforming back into my human form. as me and the man who just arrived there about to minutes later begin shopping trees and as me and the man who just arrived there about to minutes later begin shop down trees and loading them onto the large wagon. I would actively keep my eyes directed towards the direction of where I saw the goblins. tho they never really move from the area they were so I could see more creatures similar and Heights and amount of blood veins in bodies moving towards the group. then I would look over to the wagon seeing it was pretty full as I would speak up looking back towards the Goblins Direction.

" all right everyone start heading back to the Village."

as I looked at the group of men they all looked exhausted and we're happy to hear those words. they started the pack up all the tools and begin heading that way as I would get on the back of the wagon where they were four creatures where the group of goblins were now there was a total of 15. though Jack did not know if they were goblins or not he couldn't really tell if they were fighting or not so he was just going to have to hope they were and there wasn't a small horde. though the entire way to the Village he kept his eyes in that direction. though Jack didn't think a small horde of goblins could really beat him and his protege though he didn't believe in the townspeople and their skill of Defending themselves. which meant it was quite possible for Jack and his Protege to do all of the work though it would give them quite a bit of Fame it also would draw unnecessary attention. besides the fact the most dangerous thing about goblins were their cleverness nothing strange or magic but their tactics which best shined when you were attacking them. not being attacked by goblins. the green skin Goblin could easily take out a group of adventurers if they acted careless in with engaging them and underestimate which typically lead with any girls in the group being captured and the men turned into food and after a goblin consume so much of human flesh it will transform into a higher evolution of the goblins. though I personally didn't despise goblins they were one of the few monster races that were capable of evolving becoming even more dangerous than their standard. unlike most I respected their adaptability but I also hated how they treated their prisoners specifically only taking women and using them for breeding purposes.
