1 A New World

Moans of pain rang out from a room inside the Morningstar estate as a young boy at the age of eight lied in bed. A bandage dyed red could be seen across the boy's chest.

"Young Master, you're awake!?" A young girl at the age of eight appeared inside the room, opening the door at a speed only an excited girl could reach. With blue eyes she scanned the boy's body, nodding her head and flipping her blonde hair in the process.

"Grace... you're finally here. Quickly, tell my father I'm awake and get me a pain-relieving potion.

"Yes, Young Master."

Seth took the time while Grace was gone to take in his new surroundings. The room he was in was clearly a place for royalty, it was at least 50 meters in length and width with painting all over the walls and a large king-sized bed embroidered with jewels. This was a far cry from what he was used to.

Looking into the mirror to his right, Seth noticed his face and marveled at how elegant it looked. Sure, he saw it when he first came into this world and received the memories from its previous occupant's body. but seeing it in person was a completely different experience.

Seth looked deeply into his green eyes and put a hand through his short black hair, he could get used to this. The only downsides to his appearance are his small body, young age, and pale white skin. He had clearly been in bed for a long time and was severely malnourished.

The Morningstar family was a small-sized merchant clan who made enough money to buy their own city. The castle the previous owner used to live in naturally fell into their hands after his mysterious death, saving them tons of money in the process. The family's strongest fighter was a level 1 warrior, making their rule barely stable. Even worse, the level one warrior has no family connection to them, only staying due to the generous payments he received. Plenty of families in the city (eloquently named Morningstar) have the same level of power or even higher, they only managed to keep their position by providing protection money to the nearby bandits.

As he waited for Grace's arrival Seth couldn't help but begin to meditate, as he used to do so frequently before his death. It always helps him think.
