22 The Book

Blair was walking through the corridors of Hogwarts with Olivia by his side. He has been thinking about things to do this year, The only thing that came to his mind was going to restrictive section and study more about magic. But the permission pass has been taken away from him last year, After his careless actions in the astronomy tower. He have to wait until next year as the 5th and older year students can enter restrictive section without needing any special permission from a teacher.

As usual, they sat further away from other Slytherins in the great hall. Blair was reading about revealing charm in his 4th year Charms textbook, and strangely enough the Charm from the textbook was easier to cast than the charm that he read in the old leather book. He didn't understand why would the Writer of the leather book create mention a spell Which is more difficult and time-consuming to cast than the spell that is already taught in the school by default. It didn't fit the writers taste. There must be something special about that spell.

As for Occlumency, He was now able to keep his emotions In check, Even though it was only an initial step towards becoming an Occlumens,He was still content with it. At least he knew that he could master Occlumency, if given proper time.

The welcome ceremony was same as always, Same delicious food, Same indifference from his housemates and most importantly, same wacky speech from Dumbledore.

After entering his dorm room. He quickly arranged his things properly before going to bed. After laying for half an hour, He suddenly opened his eyes and whispered "I am an idiot". He quickly got up and rushed towards the trunk. After searching the trunk for few seconds, He frantically took out a thin leather book that he got from the knockturn alley and placed it on the table. He then made a complicated motion with his wand over the book and muttered

"secretum meumrevelaro".

Slowly, written texts began to appear on the book pages. The handwriting was quite familiar to Blair. He eagerly went through the topics and boy he was surprised, It was filled with spells that were quite useful for duelling, Unlike the spells in the thick leather book which were slow and volatile, This onse spells were quickly and flexiable. He quickly began to read it without even caring about having a good night sleep.

The Next day you could see a 4th year Slytherin sleeping in an Abandoned Classroom and a third-year Slytherin sitting by his side, reading a thin leather book.

30 October, library.

Blair was sitting in the left corner of the library. Reading a charm book he borrowed from the library.

" I got it, But is only allowed for books on transfiguration" Olivia came with a piece of paper in her hand standing in front of him. Blair looked at her with a disappointed look before going back to reading his book.

"Ohh come don't be like that, It only a year until you can start reading books from restrictive section, you could practise spells from the thin leather book anyway" Olivia said before going towards the librarian to get a book from the Restricted Section.

After a while, she came with a thick book in her hand with the title "Mastering Transfiguration" and sat by side.They both silently sat there for hours, reading their own books.

Blair got up and placed his book in the library shelf

"I am going to our regular spot, I think I can now cast an Extension Charm on a small container to store ink in it."

"And what are you going to do with that" Olivia asked him curiously, Blair hasn't told her about his little project.

"I am trying to charm my quill in such a way that I don't have to dip it in the inkpot repeatedly"

"Let me know if you succeed in it, It really sucks to dip the quill again and agian. Hell why don't wizards just use pens"

"Who knows, anyway I will inform you if it succeeds"

And we he succeeded. But not before hundreds of failed attempts.

30 January, Abandoned Classroom.

"Sigh, Why doesn't it disappear" Olivia glared at the half tea cup, Placed on the table

"At least you are able partially vanish a part of the cup, Most of the 5th year students can't even do that" Blair looked at the cup before going back to his spell practise.

"It would have been a perfect spell, If it could vanish people" Oliva gave a regretful sigh, Whereas Blair suspiciously looked at her, It was as he was looking at a Psychopath.

"Don't look at me like that, I was just saying it. And it's not like you don't know any dangerous spell, Hell I can't even perform half the amount of spells that you have already mastered. So look at yourself first before looking at other, And it is impossible to vanish a human anyway" she gave him a glare before continuing her practise.

"I wonder if there is an empty room, i want to start practising elemental spells, I think I am ready for it" Blair said as he successfully performed a special exploding spell he learned from the thin leather book.

"Why don't you just ask the house elves about it, They probably knows the most about the castle. 'Twinky'" the house-elf popped out in front of them.

"Is Miss Blackneal wanting something? "The house-elf asked. Her big innocent eyes hopefully looking at Olivia.

" Yes Twinky, Is there a room where Blair could perform dangerous fire magic, Without anyone disturbing him"

The house-elf answered her without any delay

" The come and go room"
