70 Daily life.

(A/N: I have lightly edited the chapter Mother's Despair There were numerous mistakes as it was quite late when I uploaded the chapter (4 am to be precise). I also added some line in it)

Blair returned to Grinddlewald's estate after visiting Grimmauld Place. The woman who he thought was a muggle was actually a witch and instead of taking her to the healer for examination, Sirius first took her to Grimmauld Place to drop off the kids there and just as he was about to apparate to St Mungo's the woman broke through the stunning spells and began to scream in despair. Sirius comforted her and decided to let her sleep there for a night, by the time Blair returned she was already asleep. The kids were also asleep so Blair decided to return to his home without Aurora. The Black twins have started living with Sirius Sr more often than Blair and Blair didn't blame them, He was not their real father after all.

The mansion was silent, dead silent. The front hall was dark, devoid of any light with just a single sound roaming through the darkness.

'TIK TOK TIK TOK'

It was the sound of the pendulum clock placed in the front hall. This atmosphere reminded Blair of his days during the first wizarding war. At that time there were no sounds of the girls arguing with each other or Sirius Jr practicing his spells, there was just silence that accompanied him in this massive mansion.

Now that he thinks about it, he really was going into a destructive path until Olivia was reborn. Heavy drinking, isolating himself, continuous bloodshed, this was not a good sign. if this would have continued he wondered what he would have become, Maybe the next dark lord who would wage war against all of the pureblood families or maybe just a drunkard who died in an alleyway.

Blair slowly went up to his bedroom, Which hasn't changed a bit since the first time he entered this Mansion. There was only a bookshelf added in the room. This shelf had the collection of books he has been collecting since his Hogwarts days. There were numerous valuable books on this shelf which even Hogwarts didn't have. All thanks to the shopkeeper of Borgin and Burkes, That guy knew what Blair would definitely buy. There was also a wand inside a glass cube placed on top of the shelf like some prized possession. It was Olivia's wand which he had preserve to this day. The last person who performed magic with this wand was Olivia, There was still a little amount of Olivia's magic remaining in the wand. For others, it was only a normal wand. But for Blair, it was a priceless possession, To which millions of Gallons, huge mansions didn't compare.

Call it an obsession if you want. Blair didn't care. She was the first person who came anyway near to a family.

Blair wondered what would they be doing right now if that day they didn't go to Diagon Alley to celebrate Christmas.

Maybe traveling the world or maybe living in an enormous castle, like Olivia once desired.

'That would have been one hell of a castle.'

At that time they felt like the future was their time to soar the skies. After all, All their lives they have been living in an abyss.

'Who would have thought that I would be the only one soaring the skies.'

Blair sighed before going to sleep

Next day

.

Blair woke up from his bed early in the morning. One can see dozens of scars on his torso with the biggest one covering his entire chest. He went straight away for a shower before coming down to the dining room. There was a huge empty dining table in the room. He sat on the head chair with a silver plate already placed in front. It had a triangular symbol on it like every utensil in this estate.

"Lucas" Blair called out softly.

"Master?" The house-elf appeared beside him with a pop.

"Please bring me my breakfast".

Lucas flicked his fingers and fried eggs and a sandwich appeared on his plate. Blair calmly began to eat whereas Lucas just stood there beside him. The breakfast was great as always.

After a brief moment.

"How is Winky doing," Blair asked calmly.

"She is sad Master. Poor Winky has been drinking butterbeer the entire night. "Lucas said with pity to which Blair just gave a nod.

"Are there any letters that came to my name?"

"Yes master, They are placed on the table in the library."

"Please bring them to me."

The elf disappeared for a second before appearing beside him and placing 3 letters on the table.

" Thank you, Lucas. You may go now. As for Winky let her do whatever she wants for now. Inform me if she doesn't stop drinking butterbeer till this end of this month."

"Yes, Master." With that, the elf apparated away and Blair continued eating the rest of the breakfast silently.

He then picked up the first letter which was from Gringotts informing him about his new vault number and the total amount of gallons in it.

'298235 G, 69 K, 14S '

It was quite an amount even for an Elder Wizengamote member. He could literally swim in gallons if he wanted to. As for the reason he had so many gallons, Most of the Vault was full because of his earning during the first wizarding war, Both of his jobs didn't pay him that much.

He put away the letter and opened the next one. It was from Dumbledore informing him about the tournament which they are going to conduct under the Ministry's order.

'Both of the girls are going to furious after hearing about the tournament in the school. They probably wanted to join the Gryffindor Quidditch team this year.'

He wasn't worried about the Tournament as the tasks were not that dangerous. Even his 5th-year students could steal an egg from a dragon. Blair was disappointed that only students who were more than 17 years could participate in the tournament. He wanted his 5th-year students to participate as well.

The next letter was from the Ministry, Calling for an emergency Wizengamote meeting to discuss something important. The meeting was going to start in an hour.

'They could have at least mention what they are going to talk about.'

********************

"Good morning Mister Bradley." Ministry workers greeted him as he walked through the Department of Mysteries. He greeted them back and continued to walk towards his destination as the Wizengamote meeting was about to start in 10 minute. He went to the minister's elevator which directly leads them to the courtroom. As usual, there was no one in the elevator because only the Wizengamote members were permitted to use it.

The court room was filled with the members discussing with each other, waiting for the Minister of Magic to come. Blair sat on his seat which was in the middle of the members besides Amelia Bones.

"Good morning Blair," Amelia said calmly.

"Good morning to you as well Amelia," Blair faced her. "Do you know why Fudge has called the meeting."

"Well someone proposed to build a universal library where anyone can go and read books."

"Don't tell me Fudge called an emergency meeting just because of building some library, He could have discussed it, in our weekly meetings." Blair said.

"Well, it's also about yesterday's attack in the world cup" She faced him, observing his reaction

"oh."

"Don't oh me Blair I know, you were involved in the confrontation with the death eaters. I saw the memories of the site, everything was disintegrated into nothingness. No normal fire could have done such damage." Amelia now had a stern look on her face.

"It could've been someone else."

"There are a handful of wizards in the wizarding world who can control cursed flames at such magnitude. 1 of them is in prison, another one is dead and the last two are the teachers in Hogwarts." Undoubtedly she was talking about Grindlewald, Voldemort, him and Dumbledore, and everyone knew that Dumbledore never uses dark magic. That leaves only him.

"I would never use such foul magic....Yes I used to use it during the war but it was out of necessity. Those dark days are behind me, Now I am just a respectable member of wizengamote and a teacher in Hogwarts."

To this blatant lie, she just stared at him. Everyone knew The black flames were Blair's signature attack.

"Also I think I know who the perpetrator might be."

"Who" Amelia asked with doubt on her face.

"Well I don't know his name but last night when I went drinking out in a bar, I heard a man bragging about how he saved a woman who was about to be killed by a group of 50 to 60 death eaters lead by a golden masked death eater, and how he couldn't save the child of that women, that's all I heard." Blair was trying to give her indirect information to avoid getting an inquiry from her, and both of them knew it.

"Don't be under an illusion that I don't see what you are doing."

"Wh...."

"Ok let the court begins."He was interrupted by Fudge who sat in his chair.
