6 Chapter 6

Following behind Lexi they walked inside the building.The interior was wide and full of cultivators. To the left there was a large board were many people huddled around pointing and looking over the variety of post stapled on it. Towards the center was a compact set of stairs leading up to other floors in the building. On the right there was workers standing behind counters talking to visitors and handing out badges and rewards. Lexi walked to the right with the boys heading for one of the counters.

The middle aged man behind the counter lifted up his head as the group approached.

"what can I help you with today?" Ask the man while looking over the group. Smiling not caring for the boys ragged attire.

"New mercenary registration please" Lexi responded."

"Alright how many forms do you need?"

"Two for the boys."

"Ok fill these out."

Lexi handed over the forms for the boys to fill out. After answering the questions such as name, age, race, affiliation... ect.. ect.. they handed them back to man behind the counter.

Taking the paperwork and stamping the man put them in a drawer before walking away. When he came back he gave the boys two badges with a fist insignia on them.

"Congratulations on becoming new mercenaries in the future when you complete mission or join a mercenary group you can come to one of these counters" the man said.

Thanking the man the group left the counter to head to the board. Looking it over there was a wide range of mission from finding herbs to slaying beast.

"How about we do a mission together since it your first time here?" Lexi asked concerned for the two.

"We'd be honored to big sister" Kylo spoke out quickly before Kuma could say anything.

Seeing Kylo's infatuation for the girl Kuma just sighed and nodded his head.

" haha it's settled then. What do you think about this mission right here? Although its a little hard the reward is fifteen silver and it's repeatable." Lexi asked pointing at a post.

"Kill one lythra, banshee, or any other class one beast and bring its body back for 15 silver mission: repeatable grade E" the post read.

"With big sister here we can do anything" Kylo said adoration in his eyes causing Kuma to sigh once again before nodding in agreement.

Laughing Lexi led the two out of the building and headed out the city. Leaving the city gates and arriving at the edge of the forest. Lexi came to a complete stop her expression turned solemn.

" alright once we head in we got to be careful and stay on the outskirts. my strength is at the middle condensing stage I can barely handle the class one beast. Stay sharp and watch out for bandits." Lexi spoke shivering a little once she mentioned the bandits.

Both of the boys nodded in agreement but Kuma's brows furrowed a little hearing she was at the middle of the condensing stage.

Not noticing Kuma's expression change Lexi headed into the forest with the boys in tow.

Walking in the outskirts they saw a few beast but they avoided them cautiously walking through the underbrush looking for the lythra. They were on the stronger side of class one beast but they tended to hunt alone rather than in groups.

"Big sister do you always avoid the beast when you hunt?" Kylo asked curiously as they were walking

"Not all beast you see are worth money only class one beast and up with the exception of a few that have special parts. Besides with my stren-" before she could finished the bushes up ahead moved as two large shadows jumped out.

Lexi's face paroled as she looked at the towering tiger like beast in front of her. they were lythra's Lexi was cursing their luck to run into a pair. "Run guys I can't handle two lythra's at once" Lexi screamed as she began to condensing her Qi and pull out her weapon to cover their retreat. But to her shock none of the boys seemed to be concerned just standing around looking at the beast with no intentions to move. Frustrated and worried the boys didn't understand the situation she started to panic. Before she could plead for them to run away Kuma's voice spoke out.

"Diger's"

"Diger's?" Lexi said with confusion still worrying about how to deal with the two beast.

while Kylo shivered a bit feeling uncomfortable. Without waiting for Lexi to say anything else Kuma charged toward the lythra's. Condensing his Qi he used his shadow steps to arrive in front of the two beast in seconds. The beast reacted instantly swinging their claws with the intention to shred Kuma in half.

"Kumaaaa" Lexi screamed scared for his safety she dashed forward despite lacking the strength to take on the beast. But she soon stopped in her tracks. staring over in shock as she saw Kuma agilely dodge the incoming claws with ease. Before his arms flicked out to counter with two swift and precise jabs. His green and black Qi covering his body like a protective coat.

"You have dual Qi!! But how did you take them out so easily?" Lexi stuttered shocked as she looked at the lifeless beast that couldn't take a single punch from Kuma.

"They're just diger's." Kuma shrugged as he walking back to the group.

Hearing the word "diger" both Lexi and the bored Kylo had a change of expression.

"Those were two full grown lythra's at the late condensing stage how did you take them out so easily?" Lexi still shocked asked Kuma refusing to believe a sixteen year old boy killed the beast she couldn't beat. Even if he was a rare dual Qi user.

"I should be at the peak of the early form stage." Kuma said nonchalantly not paying to much attention to her shock. While Kylo just sat back finding the situation between the two amusing. A mischievous gleam in his young eyes.

"Your in the Form stage!!" Lexi felt like the world spinning. she was seventeen years old but she was only at the condensing stage. In her town she was considered a genius. The average lifespan for normal people was six hundred years old and many failed to reach past the solidifying stage their whole life. But that wasn't the case for geniuses like herself she had the chance of reaching the peak and living for thousands of years.

Thinking about all the rare talents she collected her composure as she began to calm down.

"Haha Little brothers were rich in the future you can't forget about your big sister okay." she said laughing a huge smile on her beautiful face.
