1 Chapter I- Lui Han

"Long ago, the Heaven and the Underworld were constantly at war until, Satan, the lord of all demons formed a treaty ending the "Endless War". Although the war ended, peace did not begin to flourish instead, prejudice and segregation arose from it. The Gods and Angels lived above in Heaven, the Demons and Demon lords dwelled in the Underworld and the Mortals exist in between them."

I closed up the book I was reading as I leaned my back on the tree behind me. Looking up at the clear blue sky, I realized how little has changed since the "Endless War" we now call "The Blood War". But calling it the endless does have some truth in it. Even if it already ended, it seems as if it's still going on, just less bloody and fighting. Today, segregation and prejudice are still a thing. Those with magic and those without live separately. Those with magic are all rude and abusive of their power. While those without magic are all weak.

Those are not true and I myself is one example. I possess magic and go to the number one school for magic yet people find me vulnerable. My magic isn't as strong as everyone else no matter how much I train it.

Just looking at the blue sky, I also realize how much I get bullied for my weak magic and body. But that doesn't matter. Although I can't perform magic as well, I can still pass all the classes just doing the basics and not showing off like everyone else.

As I stared at the sky, I lost track of the time. Only then I realized it when the heaven shaking bell rang piercing my ears. I jumped out of my comfortable spot in between the tree roots. My soul almost left my body. As I got up to go to class quickly, I heard somebody laughing behind me but didn't bother, just some bully probably, I have other important things to do anyway. I ran like crazy with the book in my hand since the school front yard was so wide, gives you an idea of how rich this school is. When I finally made to the threshold of this Castle like school, I stopped myself for a bit to catch my breath.

Then, suddenly, in just a second, I felt like a new person, my tiredness was gone and sweat just vanished. All of a sudden, I felt fresh again. As I didn't have time to thought more of this, with a "WHAt?!" I continue to run to my class.

"The classroom is not far now", I smiled thinking I'll make it to class in time, and I did. The double door of every classroom in this school was huge and as well as long. I would always felt overwhelmed by it. Bye the way, this school is called Miracle Academy, the number one school for magic. It has abundant resources and many good teachers. My professor is one of them.

Putting both my palm on the door, I pushed with the help of magic as it was a basic skill everyone needs to know. Most of the time, I would always be the first in the class but this time, many students were already in the classroom. They all stood up when I entered then bowed.

"Class President!" They simultaneously said. Yes, I was the class President although my magic is weak. I'm basically the teacher's beloved student. Well, my professor. Other professors would only judge and make Class President only based on magic.

"Class President!" Somebody called out, "why are you late, did you get bully again?" He asked and I answer by shaking my head.

"Thank you for asking but I am not late, I made it just on time."

"Alright, but if you get bully, you can call me! I'll make sure I beat those punks to a pulp", he said with honesty.

"Thank you", I giggled. I'm really blessed to be in this class, none of the bullies are in here and everyone respects me as I do the same.

Chatterings stopped when the door opens itself and entered our professor. Everyone stoop up as I do my job. "Welcome professor", I said loudly then, the rest of the student repeat, " welcome, professor."

"Thank you, you may sit", Professor Bright said with his cool tone, "as I said, we have a new classmate today, welcome him."

That student entered. For some reason, looking at him, I felt something strange, so strange it sent me chills yet it made me felt at peace. He had a strangely handsome look, an impressive height, the same as our professor. He has a defined body and for some reason, the Miracle Academy 's uniform looks really good on him. Overall, he was really attractive, he could easily seduce me if he wants to. I'm not gay but...he's really good looking. I hope he's not a bully.

Professor said his name was Liu Han. I'm pretty sure, every single girl in this room sequels at the sight of this man. As the professor said, we welcome him and when that's done, Liu Han looked around the room. His eyes landed on me. I internally yelled, "I made eye contact with a handsome dude!" I slightly freaked out of my seat for a second and for that instant, I thought he smiled at me. I broke eye contact first but I felt he was still looking at me.

"Alec", the professor called out my name. "Sir?" I replied.

"Since you still don't have a roommate, Liu Han will be your new roommate, show him around will you?" the professor request.

"Yes sir", I accept delightfully. Lui Han and I made eye contact again, but this time it felt more casual than intimate. I smiled at him while he just smirked. Again, I broke eye contact.

Class began after Liu Han went to have a seat behind me. For every single second, I felt him staring at me. Maybe it's my hair, for some reason, it's naturally curly. Liu Han might just be admiring it or despising it, I just kept to the positive side.

As Professor Bright was about to get to the important part of his lecture, that ears-piercing bell rang which mean break time. Professor Bright left the classroom as students dispersed, going to their friends in other classes or going to the cafeteria to buy food. It's basically lunch time. Since I didn't bring my lunch and didn't have any money, I would just stay in class and do work. It was so until I had a brilliant idea.

"Liu Han" I called looking behind me, he slowly looked up at me. He was even more handsome up close, you can see all the defined features on his face. Beautiful bright hazel eyes, almost an amber color. His hair beautifully black flipped to only one side of his face covering that side of the forehead. He smiled.

"Hmm?" Liu Han hum as a reply. I smiled back at him because I couldn't help it, I just had to.

"Why don't I show you around right now?" I asked but he shook his head. I tilted my head slightly.

"Food is important, you need to eat or else you will be hungry, you can show me around later", his voice soft like fluffy fur. I nodded my head turned around and pulled out my history book since the next lecture will be about history after break. Then it will be the time of the day I hate the most, magic.

During magic class, the professor will teach you how to do certain spells and tricks and of course the students have to copy and master but that's just to hard for me. My magic truly is too weak, Why was I even born with it, it's unexplainable.

After two to three minutes or so, I heard my name being called from behind, I never heard anybody calling my name that soft, maybe my mom when I was a baby.

"Why don't you eat lunch?" Liu Han asked with that same tone of voice. I turned around smiling awkwardly.

"Well, you see, I don't have my lunch. The reason, you see is, I don't know how to cook", I paused, "and I don't have money".

"I don't have my lunch either", Liu Han slightly chuckles and smiled even brighter than before.

"You see? This is why I should be showing you around—"

Liu Han cut me off, "but I have money". He stood up and took my hands as he walked towards the way out. It shocked me for a second but I soon process to it. I follow him behind but it seems he won't be letting go of my hand any sooner. I could only see a little portion of his face but I could tell, he was smiling the whole way. We arrived at the cafeteria yet he still didn't let go of my hand.

"Wait, how'd you know where the cafeteria was?" I asked confused.

Liu Han reply, " I passed by it while going to class". I only said "oh" after that. But you shouldn't have to go pass the cafeteria to get to our class. The school entrance was at the front but the cafeteria is at way back and our classroom was in the middle of that. I didn't question further, maybe he used magic, but why would he lie?

We went into the cafeteria, there weren't many students but it could fill up half the cafeteria. Liu Han let go of my hand then. He ordered food as I wait at the entrance, when three bastards came up to me. Bullies. They bully me the most since everyone else can defend themselves but I can't since I can't compare my magic to their's. The biggest and tallest one came up to me bending down to my height. He smirked.

"Such rare sight to see you here. So that new kid is your slave now? Can't wait for him to see how weak your magic is". This bastard says to my face, he was so close I could smell his stinking breath.

But at the corner of my eyes, I saw Liu Han slowly approaching with a darker face then before. He tapped the shoulder of that bastard. The bastard bend himself up again becoming the same height as Liu Han.

"You look like you want to fight" the bastard says.

"Maybe I do", replied Liu Han. After he said those words, the bastard rolled up his sleeve while in the background, commotion arise. People, mostly boys chant 'fight fight fight' while the girls bet on who's gonna win. That bastard was getting worked up but Liu Han seems so calm he's not even moving but watching.

After rolling up his sleeve to it's max, that bastard show off his impressive muscles but after a second, veins appeared on that arm of his but those veins were faintly glowing red. For an instant there, I thought Liu Han rolled his eyes. While the bastard show off his arm and magic, he was literally admiring it.

"You ready, little man?" He asked. What do you mean? He's the same height as you, just slightly less fatter. Well, it's not fat, but I like to see it as that if it comes to these bastards.

"Oh I'm so scared", Liu Han smirked.
