A few days later he was feeling much better the experts hadn't returned the only 'Dungeoneers' had been complete noobs that were hardly worth feeding to the spider but they still were he was feeling much more confident until he was called by the boss he had absorbed the bosses essence

"Uh, hello sir.." he said nervously "I know you're scared because you took my essence that's fine." breathing out in relief he asked "Well then what is this about?" "You have reached the point where you need a name, you know the 'named monster' nonsense, any suggestions? Otherwise I'm calling you Bones." '..Bones truly original' he thought glancing at himself he was a skeleton how creative did you need to be to come up with that

'Well he seems to know how bad it is so I get to choose it better than the other guy who was named Bob, what should I go with?..' "If you have no name in 10.. 9.. 8.." 'Uh..' "6.." "Nancy! wait!" "Good to meet you Nancy." "Keep counting!" Nancy pleaded "2.." "Ja- ce.." Nancy said stumbling over his words "Jace? pretty uncommon." the boss asked "You gave me until you counted down from ten, and I blurted Nancy and you nearly went with it.." Jace muttered "It was a compliment.." 'Sure..'

leaving the boss room Jace heard the sound of fighting coming from the center 'I left the spider there...' running towards the center he saw that the spider was able to dodge all the attacks 'I rate them 4 out of 10 not a total noob but not quite average either..' he was about to attack them when he saw that there was one who had a bow the same as that archer '...' ignoring the archer he attacked the others

once he finished he dropped the spider onto the dungeoneers essence, picking up the archer he threw him out of the dungeon "Huh?" the archer confused ran away from the dungeon in less then a minute his companions had been killed and he had no idea why he wasn't

'All of these monsters are weak.. Should I just kill them off to improve the spider.. no once the spider is strong I couldn't just continue doing that...' silently judging all the monsters he leaned against the wall waiting for more dungeoneers to arrive

'...' 'I could go up and get essence from the surface.. that would be dangerous with experts like those..' thinking about the ones that had massacred the entire dungeon he hesitated to go out 'I'm considered a monster of the dungeon as long as I don't die currently..'

stepping out of the dungeon he looked around no little dungeon towns had popped up like in the stories there was a little trail running through a forest nothing else though walking into the forest he took a look around, some low level monsters had managed to find a place in the world where they weren't considered threats

preparing himself he started killing gathering their essence he returned to the spider once the spider got to a better strength he brought it out with him to absorb the corpses the spider absorbed around twenty boars and a few wolves 'I thought there were twenty two boars.. I must be going crazy, I thought that was a human thing though..'

laughing it off he took the spider and they returned to the dungeon "Stop." he whispered the experts had returned and were ahead of him '..Better to stay here.'

the spider and skeleton both hid behind several layers of foliage watching the dungeon entrance
