3 My New Family

Although I have my memories of my past life, I do not consider myself as an old soul in a young body. I behave in a manner that is befitting children my age, playing and frolicking while being scolded and cuddled by my seniors.

Let me introduce my family -

My father, Vikram Vajra, the head of the nation and the Vajra family actually came from one of the 7 sects- the 'Yellow' Earth sect. He was a core disciple who was out adventuring. He came across a nation which was seemingly causing trouble in the east coast. The king of this nation was a despot who was not only vicious but also extremely overbearing, not even sparing his daughters if they spoke against him. Under his rule, a great number of people started migrating to neighbouring nations which caused the neighbouring nations trouble. When he went to reason with the king, he instead got angry and chased away Vikram. After reporting this back to his sect, he got orders to slay the king and bring the situation under control. Gathering all the nearby experts, he swept through the kingdom in a single night without even giving the army a chance to react. He slew the king and also destroyed the noble families that supported the current ruler. When he came across a solitary tower in the middle of a mountain, he found the three imperial princesses imprisoned there. Each of the princesses had exquisite looks and personalities. Vikram found that they were imprisoned because they dared to speak against the tyrannical regime of their father. Enraptured by their charm, Vikram took an unthinkable decision. He brought 2 of his closest brothers as well as parents to break away from the sect, which meant he gave up the path of the immortals to lead the life of the ruler of mortals. He married the 3 princesses while his brothers married daughters of influential families thereby laying the foundation of the first generation of the Vajra royal family.

My uncles took 2 wives each. While they respectively chose to be the head of military and foreign affairs, it was decided that all children in the next generation will have equal right to take the throne.

My mother's eldest sister has 3 children - the First Prince and Princess, that is, the eldest 2 of the 2nd generation are both her children (twins actually). She is also the mother of the fifth prince. My Second queen aunt is the mother of the 3rd princess and the 7th prince. My uncles in total have 7 children - 4 princes and 3 princesses, who fill the rest of the positions. My mother, the 3rd queen, actually had a tough time bearing children and only had the one son, me. I am the latest addition to the Vajra family, the 13th prince. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister who are close to my age and I mostly play with them.

As a tribute to the 'Yellow' Earth sect, whom the Vajra kingdom swore fealty to, the 2 eldest children of my father, as well as both my uncles, joined the 'Yellow' Earth sect. That means 6 of the 13 royal children left the race. As the current king is still in his prime, the competition for the throne is not so aggressive. All my family members treat each other well, especially me, since I am said to be the farthest from the throne.
