Silphe ordered the punisher to grab a human standing by the wall. He grabbed Pedro first. A loud thundering beat filled Mbilu's ears. Was that her heart? It had to be. Pedro didn't struggle against the punisher. He let himself be dragged to the front of Silphe. He was forced onto his knees before her. A sickening grin formed on Silphe's face. She looked at Mbilu.

"We're going to play a game. For every denial, a human dies." Mbilu’s stomach sank. Did she say death?

Silphe continued. "In order to stop these deaths all you have to do is relinquish your love for Remi."

"That won't change anything." her not loving Remi won't change the fact that he loves her. Does Silphe understand that?

"It does change your relationship status."

"To what? Complicated?"

"To single."

Silphe snapped her fingers. The punisher brought Pedro to his knees. Mbilu's heart jumped to her throat. A sword against his neck.
