16 "Only Trust Yourself"

Park Soo Jin' s POV :

I'm on the call with Elle but suddenly she stops talking and shouts . I know it's Kyung Seok , I told her to lock her door . Ah ! That's hell frustrating . I need to run.

Elle's Pov :

The same stormy night , the same silent aura coated with the dripping sound of rain . Slight cracking sounds of windows taking over the black lonely night . Everything is the same , the only difference is time . I was six back then and now I'm twenty-two .

" I thought of you as my brother . You really can't do this to me . I trusted you , I trusted you oppa " I sobbed in front of him . " But Elle darling , you are not my sister . It's not my fault right . Who told you to be beautiful ? Who told you to step into my life? You did it by yourself darling . Now I have every right to be pleased by you ."

I've never seen this Kyung Seok before . I trusted him but what is he doing? It's true that only trust yourself . He came closer to me and grabbed my shirt collar . He dragged me closer to his body . I scratched his hands and shouted as loud as the roar of a lion . But he didn't care and kept on trying to seduce me . I kicked him many times but he just became like a stone because of his lust . His lustful desire made him blind . "Stop it ! stop it ! you creep stop it ! Help me , someone please help me! " I cried and yelled for help but no use .

Park Soo Jin's Pov :

I heard her voice outside her apartment . Thank god ! I know the password . I asked her in the university before .

I opened the door and barged in . I saw Kyung Seok on top of her , trying to rip her dress and forcing her . I grabbed his shirt from the back and threw him at the other corner of the room . I threw punches at him and beat him up . I did not know how to stop because my anger was out of control today . His face makes me beat him up to death for what he did to my sister and for what he was going to do with my future . I heard Elle cry from the back . She also called the police .

"He's the one " Elle said while pointing towards Kyung Seok . " Stop it mister . We'll take him from here" someone grabbed my hands to restrain me . A police officer pulled me up on my knees and handcuffed Kyung Seok . "We'll call you tomorrow for inspection. now take care of yourself " a police lady said after taking a look at the miserable state of Elle . "Thank you officer " I said and they took Kyung Seok away .

I took my jacket off and covered Elle with it . Her clothes were torn from some sides . I touched her shoulders to make her sit but she shuddered and got scared . I know she was in a dilemma after what happened to her . Her face is covered with blotches and patches of tears . There are marks on her collarbone and hands . I can't see her like this . I remembered for the first time when I saw Maria . Lying on the hospital bed , completely destroyed . Her whole body had marks of scratches , she was covered with blood and tears . Why did this happen to the girls I love the most in this world ?

I took the first aid box and arched for Elle's permission for applying ointment on her wounds . She didn't reply for the first three times . When I asked loudly for the fourth time she nodded .

While applying , she stood up and walked towards the washroom . I followed just to make sure she won't faint .

She sat under the shower and let her body remove the dirt . She did the same thing as Maria . She washed and washed under the soothing luke-warm water with running tears . I stood there for an hour because I just didn't want to disturb her . I want her to take her time but it's an hour now . I walked inside and sat beside her . I gazed at her and offered my shoulder to cry on . She gazed back at me with swollen red puffy eyes . She let her head rest on my shoulder .

After a few minutes she speaks . " Can I trust you ?" Her question makes me think about many things . Someone made me speechless for the first time . What should I say to her ? That I am only in love with her beauty . Her beautiful appearance attracts me. That's why I protected her and wanted to be with her . Can she trust me if I lie to her ?

" It's up to you . I am no one to tell you to trust me . But if you'll look back I will always be there for you " I neither lied nor spoke the truth . "Hmph! " she sighed . "Can you dry up ? Otherwise you'll get a cold " I asked her while turning off the shower knob . She tries to stand up but her legs give up . "Can I carry you ?" . She nodded in yes . I carried her in the bridal style just like the first time I did . I put her carefully on the bed and grabbed some clothes for her from the cupboard . "I'll cook some food until then" I said to her and left the room .

She came out in pink pajamas and sat at the kitchen counter . I cooked some ramyeon noodles for her . I watched her finishing her meal just like a mother . "Thank you for the meal and thank you again for today too" she thanked me and left towards her room . " Don't forget to lock your room," I ordered her .

I don't want to leave her alone . I'll sleep on the couch for tonight .
