"What do you mean, she is going to attend the tea parties? Didn't I tell you not to forward the invitations to her?" The queen stormed at her maid,

"Your Grace! I did take care of them but the invitations were somehow delivered to the lady." Emily lowered her head.

The queen stood up and walked towards the door. " I will deal with this on my own." She stomped her feet and walked towards the door,, The guard hung their heads low and opened up the door for her. She was just a few steps out of the room when she saw Syrus coming towards her. Her frown relaxed and she stretched her lip into a smile.

"Queen Mother!" Syrus called out.

"What brings you here?" She covered up her displeasure with a short question.

Syrus looked at Emily and the other maid that was following her. "I have to talk to you in private."

The queen glanced at her sides and then gave a nod. "You may leave and prepare some tea for us, We will be in the garden."

The breeze was calm, The queen along with Syrus made her way into her personal garden and sat on the garden chairs, under the shade of the umbrella.

"Mother…" Syrus looked worried, and he referred to her as mother rather than a queen.

"WHat is it?" She saw the worry in his eyes.

"It's about Kingdom Fedora… Father wants me to sort things out with them but I don't understand how I will do it."

The queen smiled gently and patted Syrus on the back. "What is so hard about it? Just talk it out... "

"But it isn't something that can be sorted out by talking abalone." Syrus replied.

"There is nothing that can't be solved with words… I suggest that we invite the Crown Prince of Fedora to the winter festival. I am sure with the king around things will be sorted out easily."

Syrus thought deeply. Emily walked in on them and brought them tea with snacks. She swiftly served them and walked away.

"I think I can give that a try," Syrus picked up the cup and spoke.

"The king is trying to prepare you for the future and he knows that you are capable of it, I am sure everything will be sorted out."

Syrus nodded and sipped from his cup.

"Now I have something to talk to you about." THe queen said.

"What is it?" Syrus asked.

"Why are you doing this to Myrtle? I can tell that you have no interest in that commoner girl and yet you have brought her into the palace...What has she done to you to deserve this kind of behaviour from your side?"

Syrus's face got rigid and he felt uncomfortable after that question. He placed the cup back on the table and prepared to leave.

"You are running away now...But you will realise your mistake soon, And you will regret it because you have started it yourself." The queen spoke in a deep voice. She sounded as if she was warning him about something that was going to happen in the near future. Syrus paid no attention to her words and walked back to his study to prepare an invitation right away.

He opened the door of the room and noticed a figure standing by the window. Myrtle lightly brushed the head of the bird. She had filled its food tray and the bird was happily feeding itself unlike the time when Syrus gave him seeds to eat. The light of the sun entered the room and fell softly on Myrtle. Syrus had paused at the doorstep and watched her closely.

"Your Grace!" Myrtle noticed him, she hurriedly pulled her hand away and bowed.

Syrus's eyebrows twitched at her actions.

"Do you also think I will regret it?" Syrus asked in a serious tone. Myrtle tilted her head lightly. "Regret what?" She asked.

Syrus examined her expressionless face hoping to see a sign of any emotion but it was blank. After a few moments of earnest effort Syrus shook his head. "I won't! I know that… Anna is the right person.`` He muffled under his breath.

"Oh! You were talking about the Lady... "Myrtle spoke and bit her lip, Syrus noticed her change in attitude. "I think the LAdy is a very lively person, She sure will keep you happy." Myrtle added.

"That is why I chose her...She is lively, full of life. Unlike a certain someone."

Myrtle knew he was referring to her so she bowed her head low. "I will be leaving for now." said Myrtle and hurriedly walked past him. Syrus's face darkened and he closed the door behind him.

Myrtle had stopped a few steps away form the door, She had covered her face and was shaking.

"Princess! What happened?" Her maid ran over to her side and pulled away Myrtle's hand from her face. Myrtle's face was red and she was supressign her smile.

"What happened?" The maid asked dumbfoundedly. "Did the prince tell you a joke?" SHe asked and peeked at the door. Myrtle pursed her lips and shook her head sideways while shaking.

"Let me take you to your room," Myrtle nodded and a low chuckle escaped her pursed lips.

Myrtle entered the room and threw herself on the bed and covered her face with a pillow and cackled like a hyena. The maid hurriedly closed the door and stood beside the bed with a happy gaze.

"It's good to see you like this…"

Myrtle lifted her head, the ear to ear smile was still fresh on her face.

"You look just like your mother now,"

Myrtle pounced out of the bed and stood in front of her with a proud face. " Why wouldn't I be like her? After all, I am her only lovely daughter…" She grinned.

"By the way… ask the chef to make me some eclairs, I have been dying to eat some."

"RIght away." The maid spoke with a blissful smile and left Myrtle in the room.

SHe threw herself back on the bed and gave out a sigh. "Full of life...unlike me he says? I am glad he thinks like that." she mumbled.
