3 A Ray of Light

I was just a mere girl fighting my survival as a nurse in the clinic. I lived a simple life. I don't have a pretty background. I came from a poor family but my parents worked so hard to get up from our poor status and was able to be in the middle of the food chain. My dad became a renowned police officer. He was quite famous. Imagine a guy from the gutters managed to be a proffessional. Same with my mum. She was onced a maid from a rich family. She managed to support her studies and now she's already a teacher.

They have five children- including me. My siblings used to bully my appearance because I have such different face from them. I have this beautiful white skin, big eyes, small nose and small face. They say I actually had a different parents from them. I would actually cry hearing from those words of my siblings but my mum would comfort me and hug me. Thinking about it I never had the chance to thank my mum. All that was left was total darkness.

It felt like I was drowning from this darkness. I felt suffocated. I couldn't breathe. I was really dying. I never even had a chance to do what I wanted to do in life I was just stuck in the clinic. Everything now is over.

It's cold and lonely and I just embraced my self from the darkness enveloping me. Then I heard a voice 'Silly child, wake up. It's not yet time'. A ray of light suddenly appeared. My heart felt warm. It spread across my body. And the light just came bigger and brighter.
