~Diagon Alley~

The hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley was in full swing as students, both new and old, gathered to purchase books and supplies for the upcoming school year. However, away from the bustling main street, there was a dark alleyway known as Knockturn Alley. This place was known for its seedy reputation, as it was a hub for dark magic and all manner of illegal goods and services, including books on the dark arts and even human sacrifices.

At 13 Bay in Burkes and Burkes, a cranky house elf dressed in a butler suit was purchasing a vanishing cabinet. The shopkeeper, a stooping man with oily white hair named Borgin, expressed his doubts about the cabinet's whereabouts.

"Your master does know that we don't know where the other side leads?" he asked the elf, who confirmed that his master was aware of the unknown destination.

Borgin's business partner, Burke Caratacus, chimed in with a greedy glint in his eye, "Tell your master we would be willing to repurchase it at a higher price if he finds the other half."

The elf, named Dinky, nodded in agreement before taking the cabinet and leaving the shop.

After the elf's departure, Borgin turned to Burke and asked, "Whose elf do you think it was?"

Burke, counting the 800 galleons in his pouch, replied, "Must be a person from out of the country. Maybe the master is French. They even let half-breeds walk around like wizards. It must be a new trend among them."

Borgin, still with a calculating glint in his eye, responded, "Nah, you know the elf didn't have a French accent. He was an English elf. The question is, is he a new customer or a new enemy?"

Meanwhile, the mysterious master of the house elf was using a glamor to conceal his identity as he scoured Diagon Alley for a suitable target.

Walking around and searching for a suitable target may seem easy, but it requires careful planning and patience. My plan was to cast the Imperius Curse on a student who is in their sixth or seventh year, and then direct them to retrieve the vanishing cabinet from the lower floor of Hogwarts and relocate it to the Room of Requirement on the seventh floor. This would allow me to access the famous Room of Requirement and retrieve the second artifact Horcrux, the Ravenclaw diadem, for the ritual. After this, the only remaining Horcrux would be the one in Bellatrix Lestrange's vault.

I needed to find a loner as my target, as any sudden change in behavior could raise suspicion among the students. As I walked around, I spotted a teenager who was reading a book while walking behind his family of four. The fact that his siblings and parents were not bothering him suggested that they were used to his solitary behavior. Furthermore, the title of the book, "The Rise and Fall of Tunguska," was not related to school subjects or British history, which led me to believe that he was a student in Ravenclaw. This increased the likelihood that he would be my target, and all I needed to do was wait and see if he greeted someone or if someone would come to greet him.

(Marvin Robin POV)

This day is both good and bad for me. On one hand, I have to leave my comfortable library and be surrounded by people who don't appreciate books, but on the other hand, I get to buy new books. It's a complicated feeling.

Meeting potential acquaintances should have been a concern, but that all changed when my fellow housemates realized that I was superior to them. I may not be the top of the class, but I am different from the rest of the students. They only seek knowledge for their own gain or to get top marks, but I read books simply because I love them. We had several fights, but they stopped in the third year when they realized that they couldn't infect me with their ignorance. I will prove myself to them one day, when I read all the books in the world. But how will they believe me?

"Uhh, where's mum and dad? Oh, they're going to buy Jeremy's books."

I should check if they have any new books in my favorite bookshop, "BOOKTOPIA." As I navigate through the crowded street, I enter the shop and am greeted by the scent of fresh books. My heart races as I make my way to the history section. I spend half an hour searching for a good book when I suddenly hear the voices around me quiet down. Turning around, I see a blond man smiling with his wand pointed at me. The last thing I remember is him saying,

"Imperio."

"Your objective is to search the second and third floors for a vanishing cabinet, and then instruct the elf to move it, as you will be working in that area. You can perform the search during your free time or when you are not in class. After the elf has relocated the cabinet, cast a random spell in that location. Once you have completed these steps, consult the two-way mirror for further instructions, which will allow you to receive orders from me."

I am confident in my ability to use the Imperius Curse on multiple wizards simultaneously, as I have been practicing on prisoners. I have also been refining my skills in using additional charms, such as Legilimency, Confundus, and custom illusions.

After handing the mirror to Marvin, I quickly leave the main area and dispel the Confundus and Quietus charms, which prevent noise and keep people from being aware of the area. I depart the store and Apparate to the Black Manor, located in a nearby alleyway.

Entering the manor and observing the elves bustling about the house is entertaining. I tasked Kreacher with locating elves at other Black properties and bringing them here. In total, I now have five elves at my disposal.

They didn't need any promises or anything. They were simply happy to have a new master and work to do, such as renovating the interior of the house, adding a sauna, gym, and swimming pool, and painting the house with new colors while removing creepy decorations like a chandelier with a skull.

As I walked towards my office, my senses picked up a tingle. I have been practicing my magical senses, and now I can anticipate any nearby activity, whether it be an Apparation or an elf's special method.

"POP!"

"Master, welcome back! Dinky bought the cabinet, but the shady men said that if the master found another cabinet, they would buy it back."

"Thanks, Dinky. Where did you put it?"

The excited elf replied, blushing and wiggling his ears in response to my gratitude.

"Master, it's in your office."

"POP!"

Elves are creatures that crave attention and gratitude, and a little kindness can go a long way in making them more diligent and loyal.

As I entered my office, I saw my reflection in the hallway mirror. The pale, gaunt man was gone, replaced by a muscular, black-haired man with a styled beard.

Working out and using healing spells and potions helped me build muscle. I wasn't worried about losing speed, as the ritual would take care of that.

In my office, I spotted the cabinet, with its wooden door featuring a horse hoof design. It looked more like a toilet than a cabinet.

Mentally reviewing my list of important items, I glanced at the report Kreacher had left on my desk. It included sightings and habits of the Weasley family, who was coming and going from their house and the location of their ward lines. If an elf popped in, the wards would alert the house owner, even if they were not present. Wealthy owners would even have elf wards that prevented elves from entering. Elves are not invincible; they can pop in and out of warded areas, and every wizarding house is warded.

To obtain Pettigrew, I needed to Imperius a member of the Weasley family and have them bring him out.

Fred and George Weasley were often outside the wards while they experimented with their pranks, usually in the woods where Molly wouldn't hear them.

Everything was in place. By tomorrow, I would have Pettigrew, and in a month or two, I could obtain the diadem. The elves had already purchased the miscellaneous ingredients from the market for both rituals, although a troll's heart had a three-day wait time.

I need to pay a visit to my cousin, whom I have deliberately ignored for several weeks, in order to obtain the Horcrux.
