2 Chapter 2

Amelia Point of View:

I was sitting in the park, and I'm pleased the correct wind is blowing because if it gets any stronger, I'm going to die. My life was not like everyone else's. I'm hoping to be normal. My skin changes when I'm exposed to cold air, and I have difficulty breathing. I've had this illness since I was ten years old. According to the doctor, he has only recently encountered this ailment, hence there is now no cure.

Because there were so many trees in this park, I put my denim jacket back on when it became too cold. And, sooner or later, I shall depart from this location as well. I grabbed my book out of my bag and opened it to page 448, where I would complete reading it in two pages. It appears that I will have to buy a new one.

I continued reading until I heard someone arguing in front of my house, so I turned to see who it was. "Please accept my sincere apologies; I didn't mean it." A first man stated that he appeared to be in a hurry and that he may have hit the second guy, so the second man inquired as to what he was drinking, which appeared to be alcohol. I could see the wet drink thrown at The first man since he was wearing a white shirt. "What's your problem, bro!" exclaimed the drunk man, pushing the turned white man away.

I stated I wasn't serious! He defended himself by saying, "Of course you weren't the one who was shot," but a second man didn't listen and punched the white man. A second man appears to be drunken. He was about to punch him again when he dodged the second man and kept his hand in his pocket. Although the white man seemed to be a troublemaker, he did not cut the drunk man.

Others in the park are already staring at them, and no one is doing anything to stop them. Should I engage? because I'm in front of them and close enough to them I'm such an introvert that I can't seperate them.

However, the tension is worsening. Despite the bleeding on the white man's side, he did not strike the inebriated man. "What's the matter with you? I've already apologized! "The white guy said something, and the drunk guy didn't pay attention. The alcoholic attacked the man again, so I stood up this time. Then, all of a sudden, I heard a noise.

"Prrrt!, prrrrt!"

Thankfully, a police officer was close enough to stop them. The cops seized them after a few minutes, despite the fact that the inebriated man was the wrong pity for the white guy from any perspective.

I still have some time before school, so I went to a nearby bookshop to purchase a book because the one I'm now reading is nearing to an end. I got my bag and opened it, putting the book inside. I went to the bookstore because it was close to the park. I walked in right away when I arrived.

I always buy books here because I see my favorite authors and the lovely books they sell all the time. When I arrived, no one was inside, including the staff, so I assumed it was either inside the bookstore near the casher area or had gone out for a while, as it often does since I bought it here so long ago.

I walked over to the right side and began looking for books that I was interested in.

"Kissing Gate" is a phrase used to describe a gate that is.

I'd already read it, so I returned it.

"Jaws"

Because I am not a fan of this genre, I returned it to its original location.

I kept browsing till I came to a halt in the middle of a book that had captured my eye.

"Just a nice girl"

The book cover is quite cool, and I read the description on the back of it. "Just a nice girl" by Mary burchell.

"Nicola had grown accustomed to being compared to her exceptionally pretty cousins and dismissed as a nobody. It would, of course, be nice to be noticed and admired, but where was the man who was likely to do that? Then she met Piers - and his attractive cousin Leigh "

The synopsis attracts to me, so I take it and proceed to the cashier to pay for it because this is the book I intend to get. But there was no one here, so I went back to the store door to check what was written on it.

"We're open"

The store is open, but no one is inside. I'll wait a minute in case they come out for a bit. While waiting, I searched the area, and then, out of nowhere, an elderly woman appeared inside the cashier, surprising me and causing me to touch my chest. Is she a new hire? She seemednew. Previously because the staff was a man and we appeared to be the same age.

She asked, "Is this what you're planning to buy?" I nodded.

"You made a good decision," she replied, and I smiled back. She hadn't finished wrapping the book yet and looked in my face. So I was stunned and touched my face, expecting to find dirt or anything, but there was none.

"Are you married?" She suddenly asked. Her face looked serious, and her two brows were furrowed, as if she was waiting for me to respond to her question.

What's the matter with her?

"eh? no, and I have no desire to have a romantic life— "I was abruptly cut off.

"Why?" she inquired, as though surprised as to why I hadn't married yet.

"Excuse me?, since I'm too young for that." I replied, but it was clear that I didn't want to talk to her.

"What the hell, you're not married? You're incredibly beautiful!" She screamed angrily and tossed the book I was about to purchase. As a result, I was taken aback by her.

Is this lady insane?

When she said that, I blushed because it was the first time someone had complimented me and made me feel embarrassed at the same time.

She extended her hand to mine and said, "Give me your hand." I didn't do anything but follow her. She took my hand in hers and examined it attentively.

"What's going on?" says the narrator. I inquired because I was perplexed by his actions.

"I have a feeling you're on the verge of seeing the man who was meant for you," she added, her gaze falling on my hand.

It's no surprise that this woman is insane. My hand and her hand were swiftly removed. "Excuse me, Mrs., but I didn't come here to guess; I came here to buy a book." That's what I ultimately said. She sighed, and it appears that I irritated her when I stated that. She moved to the right side of the room and took the inside of the box before returning to me and dropping it on the table.

"Here"

When she offered me a bookmark, I was confused.

I said, "I didn't buy that."

"Take it; I'd want for you to have it... for free." I had no choice except to accept what she stated. It's a simple design, and I was blown away by the bookmark. I was even more super impressed by the quote written here.

"A woman can't change a man because she loves him. A man can changes himself because he loves her." --Unknown.

The quotation is brief, yet it conveys a powerful message. I thanked her for the bookmark and accepted it. "Thank you," I say, "but why are you giving this to me?" I offered to pay for it if she wished.

"That quote has something to do with you. You won't realize how much you can relate to that scribbled bookmark until one day. But, when that time comes, I want you to return to me and express your gratitude." She said that with a serious expression on her face. I nodded since I didn't comprehend what she was saying.

I watched her wrap the book I had purchased, which I had already paid for. The shop's door suddenly opened, and the man who entered recognized me because he was a member of the staff when I bought here previously. With a smile on his face, he said, "You again."

I returned the smile and headed out with the book I had purchased, but just before I left, I overheard the man conversing with the elderly lady. "Did you wait for me, Grandma? I apologize for taking so long to purchase your medication "He stated his case.

It's her grandmother, so it's no surprise she's acting strangely. I'm hoping that the next time I go her, I won't be able to reached her grandmother; perhaps she'll say something even worse.

After leaving the bookstore, I waited for a bus to take me to school, forgetting what the old woman had said. I was sitting near the window on the right side of the bus, next to an elderly woman who appeared to be sleeping.

The bus abruptly came to a halt a few minutes later, and some passengers boarded. The final passenger on the bus stood up in the center because the bus was full; he turned his back and seemed to be my age.

When I travel or do something similar, I like to glance out the window in case I am surprised by what I see. I remained glancing at the window till I had the feeling that someone was watching at me, so I turned around and looked to my side, and I wasn't mistaken. Someone was staring at me, and I was taken aback when I realized who he was.

He was the boy at the park.

He was the park's youngster.

We're both staring at each other right now. I can see the wounds on his face from earlier. If I had to characterize him, he was dressed in a black shirt, which suited him perfectly. As I previously stated, he appears to be a troublemaker, and I'm not going to lie, he does look as handsome as the star I saw on television.

A man who will never be attached to people like me seems to be attracted to high-class women and his level peers. His complexion is white and he stands tall. Women will be immediately attracted to him if they still glance at him due of his muscular physique.

He was all I had hoped for in a man.

I hurriedly removed my gaze from him, lest he think I was weird, and returned my gaze to the window.
