A Marvelous Adventure

John Jacobe lived a life that was anything but easy. Fate had dealt him a crap hand and he was sure she had been laughing about it ever since. Despite that, John had tried to make the best of his situation. Attempting to live a good life even if the were odds being stacked against him. After years of hard work, things were finally starting to change. His family was beginning to mend. The broken people learning to love themselves and each other. It wasn't perfect, but it was his. Life had been hard up until then. But finally, it seemed that there was a proper light at the end of the tunnel and not just the match stick of hope he had been using to fight off the darkness. It seemed like a time of cheer and it might have been, had fate not been so spiteful in her decision to spike the victory punch. Now John finds himself waking in a strange place, with the devil of all hangovers, his memories foggy at best and an incredibly odd connection to all things green or furry.
