The chains that held me back. [Rewrited]

I got up from the bed and stretched as I walked over to the window and thought to myself.

The girl named Rias had told me that there was a supernatural world and that this world contained three powerful factions named: The angels, the fallen angels, and the demons. She was part of the demon faction, and of course, as in the sacred book, demons and angels were not friends.

I sighed before going to the bathroom and running cold water over my face.

'It's not a dream.' I thought, looking at my reflection in the mirror before getting dressed in the Kuoh Academy outfit that Rias had given me, along with paying for the 5-star hotel I was staying in.

Then I left the room and took the elevator to the first floor.

"Hello Ayanokoji-san."

The receptionist greeted me, and I nodded in return before heading to the cafeteria.

I hadn't eaten anything for a whole day, and my stomach was starting to scream.

As I ate, I felt my pants vibrate before I pulled out my phone.

I read the message that Rias had sent me saying that she had arrived in front of the hotel.

I finished eating as I walked out of the hotel and saw her with her arms crossed pulling her big chest up.

"What are you looking at?"

She said to me in a teasing tone, but I didn't answer her as I left the hotel with her to go to my new academy.

Deep down, I could feel my heart pounding. The chains that bound me to my past were slowly beginning to unravel. At least I wouldn't have to come back to this person.

The hotel was next to the academy and in a few minutes we arrived.

I could see the crowd of students all waiting in front of a large closed gate.

"This used to be a girl-only school, but now it's unisex."

"It's strange when you say unisex."

"Why is that?"

I gave her a strange look as she stuck her tongue out at me when I felt the evil gaze from all the students on me, especially from the boys.

"What is that bastard doing with our goddess?"

"I don't know, let's hit him after school!"

"He's cute."

I sighed as I heard all their comments while I could see Rias smiling at me.

"What are you smiling about?"

"Don't you like crowds?"

"No. I have the low-key philosophy."

"The low-key philosophy?"

She looked at me strangely before we could easily reach the large door. Despite the dirty looks, all the students let us pass.

'She's useful after all.' I thought, looking at Rias' back.

"Sorry, I'm late!"

A stern female voice echoed throughout the school as I turned my head in the direction of it.

It was a girl who wore the Kuoh academy outfit, like Rias. She had short black hair that stopped above her shoulders and bangs that hid her forehead. Her eyes were of a beautiful violet color, and she had glasses on her small nose that made her figure more intellectual.

She stopped in front of the gate as a similar copy came out from behind her back and opened it with the help of a bunch of keys.

This girl had long black hair with hetero chromatic eyes. The one on the right was purple, the other light brown, and she also wore glasses.

'Is she trying to copy the one next to her? Is that her sister?' I couldn't help but think as the gate finally opened.

Thanks to Rias popularity, we entered first.

"Hello Souna, I would like you to show Kiyotaka-Kun the school. He's a new student admitted to the school."

Rias said directly to the girl with a smile on her mouth.

"Okay"

The girl named Souna replied as she turned to me.

"I am Shitori Souna, president of the student council. Nice to meet you."

She said with a light smile on her face as she held out her hand to me.

"Ayanokoji Kiyotaka. Nice to meet you, Shitori-san."

While shaking hands, I noticed that the girl who accompanied Souna was looking at me with fire in her double-colored eyes.

Rias talked with Souna for a few moments, and then she left me saying that if I needed anything, I could go to the occult research club in the western part of the school.

Occult research club. Funny for a demon.' I thought as I heard Souna speak to me.

"I'll leave you with Tsubaki Shinra. She's going to introduce you to your new high school."

I nodded my head as I wrote down the name of the two girls in my memory.

Souna's copy explained the rules of the school, while Souna took care of the students behind.

"The school is mostly composed of clubs..."

I watched her as she spoke. She was serious about her work, and every time she said something important, I would nod, and she would smile back at me with satisfaction.

Deep down, I didn't care what she said. All I wanted to know was about the supernatural. School? What good would that do? Now that I wouldn't see this person, now that nothing was holding me back, who could stop me?

My real goal was not to become the best in the class. Far from it. Nor to stay indefinitely in this academy.

Imperceptibly, my lips curled up as I continued to listen to Tsubaki.
