Chapter 81

The inside of the cave was just like an ordinary cave. There wasn't any sign of a God being sealed here in slumber. The sound of falling water droplets can be heard as we walk inside the cave. The cave wasn't that deep. At the end of the cave, there are stairs leading down.

"It's near. I guess we will see it at the end of the stairs." I said as we walk down the stairs.

"Nn... Still, I'm wondering why this cave hasn't been found by other people." Musashi nodded and wonderingly said.

"It's because of the strong barrier that conceals this cave from people," I explained.

"I don't know what is a barrier but is it connected with how we suddenly can see the cave?" Musashi asked.

"That's right. The barrier was near its limit and destroyed when we came here. I can destroy it normally, but Lugh can't. It was as expected because the God down below was stronger than him." I explained.

"I know this is not the right time, but can you explain to me a bit about Godslayer and God?" Musashi asked.

"Sure thing. It's like this..."

I explained to Musashi about what is heretic Gods and how they endanger people when they manifest to the mortal world. The foolish human who dares to challenge the heretic Gods and usurp their authorities were called Campione or Godslayer.

Musashi looked at me and we nodded simultaneously then walk to the door. I gently pushed the door to open it. Inside the door, there is a plain room with only a bed in the corner. And in the corner of the bed, a girl sits while hugging legs with her head looking down.

The girl was about 12 years old with long blonde hair. She wears a black frilly dress, black hat, and two black-orange ribbons on her hair.

Musashi, who sensed a dangerous vibe from the girl or should I say from inside the girl, widened her eyes with a stunned expression. I gently grasped Musashi's hand and smiled to soothe her down.

I give her a cue that I'm going to approach the girl. Looking at my firm eyes, Musashi nodded with a worried expression. I patted her head and went to approach the girl.

"Hello, can I ask what's your name?" I asked with a gentle smile. Hearing my voice, the girl lifted her head and looking at me with her blue eyes.

"...Are you the one who fought outside?" The girl asked in a low voice without answering my question.

"Yes, I'm sorry if it's disturbing you," I said apologetically.

"It's fine... But can you seal me?" The girl thoughtfully said while looking at me. Her eyes that reflected before me displayed loneliness and sadness.

"Why? Isn't it fine to come out and look at the world outside?" I said.

"...I can't... I only bring misfortune and death to those around me...That's why I choose to be sealed here," The girl said with a sad expression.

"I don't know what happen that made you want to be sealed. But let me ask you, do you want to go outside?" I asked with a thoughtful expression.

I feel sad knowing a girl chosen to be sealed here disregarding the loneliness and sadness she felt. The presence inside her might be evil, but the girl herself wasn't. In fact, I only see a lonely girl with guilt in her eyes.

"Then come with me. I will bring you outside." I offered my hand for her to take and said.

"Can I have hope? Can I go outside? Can I run from this loneliness? Can I be happy? And, Can I depend on you?" The girl said with tears flowing from her eyes.

"Yes, you can." I smilingly said and once again and offer my hand for her to take.

"....Thank you. From now on, I will be your guardian, servant, anything you want me to be. With the condition, please end my loneliness and kill me if one day I went berserk." The girl said with a beaming smile while tears flowing from her eyes.

"That won't happen as I will make sure the thing inside you can be controlled by you." I firmly said.

"Yes! My name is Abigail Williams, please treat me well, Master." The girl said with a joyful smile then take my hand and hug me after she stands up. At this moment, suddenly light surrounded us and a silver key appeared in my hand.

"Please treat me well too, Abby." I caressed her head and said.

After a while, the light was gone and Abby still hugging me with a happy expression. Musashi who silently watching our talks approached us.

Because the mystery machine gang still sleeping until tomorrow, we decided to carry them all the way back. Of course, I will be the one to elevate them until the presence of people was near. After that I will carry Shaggy and Fred, Musashi will carry Scooby, and Abby will carry Daphne and Velma.

Because there is only one bed, I told Musashi it's fine to sleep in the same bad since Abby will be there too. In the night, Musashi blushed nervously but after some time she sleeps peacefully maybe because of the exhaustion.
