Chapter 7
Hello everyone, your handsome and genius MC, Izumi here! You guys might forget about this, but I am currently still in the middle of the school entrance ceremony waiting for my name to get called and give a speech as a top student. It takes too long because you know, the usual long-ass principal speech. So yeah here I am right now.
My middle school called Sumiya Junior High School. Yes, it is the same as the anime Shigatsu wa kimi no uso. Kaori, Kousei, and his friends also entering this school. My current relationship with Kaori is a best friend who has a crush at each other but hasn't said anything. And currently, Kaori's sickness worsening, so the time to tell her about my magic should be close.
Actually, she has not said anything about her sickness to me. She most likely doesn't want me to be sad. And probably because of that she hasn't confessed her feelings to me. She also knows I have three girlfriends currently which is Nanaka, Chisa, and Shiori. At first, she looks so jealous of them, but after some time she started to feel sad probably thinking about her sickness and think she can't be my girlfriend too.
In these 5 years, I have won five piano competitions. There aren't any new things from that except Aiza Takeshi who determined to defeat me and Emi Igawa who trying to get close with me but don't know-how. Emi's act is so cute, and she repeatedly ran before I can say anything to her. There is one time she's behaving like this.
"H-hey, K-kitahara-san, I-i heard you like sweets. H-h-how ab-bout... No!!! It's impossible for now!!! Wait for me Kitahara-san, someday I will promptly invite you properly!" and she ran.
Cute right? It's not a secret that everyone knows she's into me. I mean, she is shouting after all. She is also hardheaded, so she probably doesn't believe when people say I already know about that. Oh, finally, it's time for me to give a speech.
"New students' representative. Kitahara Izumi"
"Hai," I said as I walk to the podium slowly.

I am in the class 1A, the same class as Kaori. Coincidentally her seat is in front of me, that's very convenient for me to talk with her.
"I'm glad we're in the same class, moreover your seat is in front of me Kaori."
"Yeah, I know right, what a good coincidence," Kaori said happily.
"Oh right Izumi, have you decide what club you want to join yet?"
"No, I haven't. I wanted to join a classical music club actually. But unfortunately, we have no such club here..."

"Yeah sure, anything for you my lady," I said. I decided this was a suitable time to make some progress to cure her sickness. Also to progress our relationship.

Because this is the first day of school, all we do is self-introduction to our classmates and homeroom teacher and led by our homeroom teacher to parade around the school to get to know places in the school. After school ends me and Kaori went to Kaori's home first to buy some sweets for her and my sister then immediately go to my house right after.
"Ara, Kaori-chan welcome,," My Mom said.
"Konnichiwa aunty, excuse me for disturbing..."
"It's fine, It's fine. Thanks for always taking care of my son and daughter. My daughter really likes Canelé from your bakery you know"
"No, no, I am the one who always receives favor from your son. And Thank you, I also brought some Canelé from my home"
"Ara maa, Thank you, Shiori would be happy."
"Enough, pleasantries let's go Kaori," I said because if I didn't my mom would take Kaori somewhere to say many embarrassing things about me. Then I let Kaori sit near the grand piano while I go to my room to change my clothes.
"Welcome home, Onii-sama. Is Kaori-san here too?"
"I'm home Shiori, yes she is here. It seems she wants to hear me playing piano today."
"Are you finally going to inform her that you can miraculously cure her sickness Onii-sama?"
"*sigh* I can't win from you Shiori. Yes, I planned to, but not now though. I planned to take her to date then tell my feelings to her. After that, I will inform her about my magic."Yes, my girlfriends knew about me possessing magic. I told them in my second time went to Grand Blue to visit Nanaka and Chisa. At that time I purposely brought Shiori too to tell them about my magic. Even though it's absurd, the three of them believe me right away. It made me love them more.
After that, I also demonstrate them some magic like, fireball, heal, and many more. Naturally, I used new magic that I create a "Hiding barrier" before doing that. What a cool name right? As expected of me. So this barrier is a combination of the sound barrier, presence concealment barrier, and Illusion barrier. I also give them magic too for self-protection if I was away.
I gave Nanaka Healing magic and Water magic, Fire magic and healing magic for Chisa, and Ice and healing magic for Shiori. I also presented them with rings that I made by Item Construction magic. I didn't make this one okay, it exists already after all. The rings have some effects like alerting me when they're in danger and taking dangerous damage five times.
"Date..." Shiori said with a scary smile.
"I-i will take you too later, of course, my cute Shiori..." I said hastily. I wonder since when she has a yandere tendency...
"Don't forget about that okay, O N I I - S A M A" she said still smiling.
"I won't! How about Sunday next week?"
"Great, I look forward to it!" Shiori said joyfully.
"Ou, I will make you the happiest girl in the world at that time," I said as I smile.

"I will now play Kaori, be sure the see my charming self okay?"
"Sure, Just play already," Kaori said deadpanned.
The song that I decide to perform this time is Kreisler - Love Sorrow. I think this is an appropriate song for this time. Kaori and I, who have a crush at each other but haven't, confess to each other. Moreover, Kaori, who thinks she can't love me because she thinks she might not have a long life.
As I gently press the first note slowly, melodious sounds can be heard by many people near the grand piano room. Making some people decided to go inside the room or just stay near there to hear the song. As I pour my genuine feelings into the songs, tears started to fall from people who heard the song.
Minutes passed Kaori who cry silently mesmerized by a beautiful and melodious song that I play. Made she remembers her first time saw me in the piano competition, our first meet at the bakery, the time that we spent together until this day, and suddenly everything seems to crumble and the scene played when she heard her parents talking about her sickness. Thus, she cried.
"Clap clap clap"
Many people applauding my performance. But I didn't bother looking at them, my sole focus is on the crying Kaori. I talk to her, but she seems very downhearted to the point that she just looking at me while crying without answering. After she's calm down, I decide to take her home.
"Hey, Kaori..."
"...yes?"
"Let's go on a date this Sunday."
"...W-what?"
"I'll pick you up at 9 am that day okay? Be sure to use a lovely dress"
"E-eh, I can't follow the conversation at all..."
"Anyway, Me, You, Date, This Sunday. Don't forget about this okay." I said as I Point to her and me.
"O-okay" she said as she smiles.
"there you can smile properly, please don't make a gloomy face. You will get older!"
"What are you saying to a maiden?" She said that but she's smiling serenely.
"Okay, we're in front of your home now, so I'm going back okay. Don't forget about the date and say hello to aunty and uncle for me. See you tomorrow" I said as I wave my hand to her while walking back to my home.
"Sure, and Izumi..."
"Yes?" I said as look back at her.
"Thank you...I look forward to the date," Kaori said with a lovely smile.
"Ou, look forward to it!" I said equally with a smile. Then I continue my way back home.
