Chapter 110

When I was sleeping, I can feel someone gently moved my head to another soft place. Of course, it caused me to wake up, but I choose not to open my eyes just to enjoy this soft feeling of a lap pillow.

Last night was Nanaka's turn to sleep with me. Hence, naturally, the person whom lap I used to sleep is Nanaka.

"Hehehe...I know you have woke up, Izu-kun." Nanaka giggled and said.

"No way, I still want to sleep like this on someone's lap," I answered with my mouth curved into a smile but my eyes still closed.

"Fufufu, it can't be helped." Nanaka giggled and said.

Then, Nanaka's hand touched my head and gently caressed it. Nanaka is the first person besides my mom and dad who caressed my head like this when I was a kid. It is natural because she is older than us. Hence, she sometimes acts as a big sister even after she declared she would be my wife in the future.

While I was enjoying Nanaka's lap pillow, neither of us saying anything and just enjoyed the pleasant silence. Although I didn't open my eyes, I know for sure that Nanaka was smiling as she caressed my head. That was until suddenly Nanaka hummed a very beautiful melody.

The moment she started humming, I can feel a nostalgic alongside with sweet and sad feeling from the deep of my soul. I never heard this song before. But somehow I know, it definitely didn't exist in this world.

Still, the nostalgic feeling on my soul made tears unconsciously flowing from my eyes. I don't know why but this song made me feel a very sweet feeling of love but also sadness.

"Are, why are you crying Izu-kun?" Nanaka said in a worried tone. Hearing that I opened my eyes to see Nanaka's worried face before me. I lifted my hand and caressed her cheek, and she touched my hand that caressed her cheek while looking at me worriedly.

"What's wrong, Izu-kun?" Nanaka asked again.

"The song that you hummed before made me feel a sweet feeling of love but also sadness...Did you make the song?" I answered while directly looking at her eyes.

"I think I don't...I actually heard this song from the dream that I told you about, Izu-kun. Although I only know this part, though." Nanaka answered.

"I see..." I closed my eyes and nodded.

"But why did you feel sadness too? I only feel an overflowing feeling of love from this song, though?" Nanaka tilted her head and asked.

"Who knows, I don't think there is no need to worry about that. Because there won't be any sadness from now on after all." I smiled and said. Although I am curious, there is no point to worry about something that I don't even know. However, I promise that kind of sadness won't befall us forever.

"Fufufu, that's true. Then, please make us happy, Izu-kun." Nanaka said with a dazzling smile.

"Of course, leave it to me. And Nanaka, I love you." I said as I tenderly look at her.

"I love you too, Izu-kun," Nanaka answered with a tender smile. Then, she moved her face close to me and kissed my lips. It was only a light kiss but I can feel her love and happiness from that one kiss. We closed our eyes and enjoyed the kiss until a presence came to the bedroom and knocked on the door.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Please excuse me, Master and Nanaka-sama." The voice is none other than Grayfia who opened the door right after knocking on it.

"Master, there are two guests who want to meet yo-....." Grayfia said before she realized that we're still kissing. Looking at that, Nanaka separated her lips with her cheek reddened a bit.

"Umm... should I came back maybe one hour later?" Grayfia said as she almost closed the door again.

"It's fine Grayfia-san, please continue what you wanted to say." Nanaka shyly said. I chuckled when I saw the shy Nanaka.

"That's true, please come in, Grayfia." I smiled and said as I sit on the bed.

"Very well, please excuse me once again," Grayfia said then she entered the room.

"Two guests are looking for you and Kanon-sama in the living room, master. I already asked them to wait for some time while I wake you and Kanon-sama up." Grayfia politely said.

"I see... Then I will change my clothes first." I nodded and said. There is no need to guess who the guests are, they are probably La Folia and one member of her family.

"Umm, Grayfia?" I said.

"Yes, Master?" Grayfia tilted her head and asked.

"Why are you still here? Nanaka can help me change my clothes, though?" I said.

"What are you saying, Master? It is a maid duty to help her master change! It won't be changed even if Nanaka-sama is here as I could help her!" Grayfia said as if it just the normal thing to do.

"I am definitely not doing this because I want to see your body, Master!" Grayfia added without any expression again as if it's a normal thing to do.

"Fufufuf, Grayfia-san~ your real intention is leaked~" Nanaka chuckled and said.

"Pfff... Fine, go ahead then." I laughed and said when I saw my obvious maid and my girlfriend who also eager to help me change.

In the end, it took us 30 minutes to change. Of course, Nanaka, who is going to the living room with me, also changes her clothes. Still, the process of changing clothes took quite some time because of various reasons.

When I arrived in the living room, as expected the guests are La Folia and an old man about 50 years old. They stand up when Nanaka and I entered the room. Incidentally, Kanon hasn't arrived yet.

"Good morning, Izumi." La Folia said with a beaming smile when she saw me even though it's only a week after the party.

"My name is Raius Rihavuain, the previous King of Aldegyr and La Folia's grandfather." The old man once again respectfully lowered his head and introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you, Raius. I don't think I need to introduce myself self but this lovely girl next to me is one of my girlfriends, Kotegawa Nanaka." I nodded and said.

"Nice to meet you." Nanaka lowered her head a bit and politely said. Naturally, my girlfriends already know about my disposition as a Lord. Hence, Kaguya trained them about how to act as my wives if needed.

"Alright, just sit comfortably in the cushion. I know you aren't used sitting in seiza, right?" I said as I sit on the cushion in front of the table with Nanaka beside me. Other than bedrooms, the rest of the mansion is in Japanese-style. Hence, the table was small but high quality as well as the cushion.

"I know you already understand why we came here, Izumi. But let me explain first about what I found about what you asked before. After the party, I asked everyone if my grandfather went to Japan about 17 years ago because I thought if anyone going to Japan, it must be my grandfather.

Looks like my assumption was true and grandpa went to Japan 17 years ago a month after his second wives passed away. Thus, I asked if he has another woman in Japan which he doesn't want to answer first.

But after showing Kanon's photo, he promptly said he wants to go to Japan. Of course, as one of your future wives, I know you need to go to school. So, I told him to wait until the weekend. Thus, we are here right now. And my grandpa needs to be the one who tells his story." La Folia thoughtfully said.

"Fufufu, one of Izumi's future wives. I think we could talk after this, La Folia-san." Nanaka smiled and said.

"Of course! I have been waiting for this time!" La Folia nodded and eagerly said.

"Ahaha... Well, I think you need to explain it in front of Kanon. And don't worry, she is about to arrive." I smiled wryly and said. Not long after, Grayfia opened the door with four cups of tea with Kanon behind her.

The moment Raius saw Kanon, he widened his eyes and looked at her with a sad expression. Meanwhile, La Folia nodded as she saw the real Kanon in front of her.

Naturally, I already told Kanon about her family. So, Kanon only widened her eyes a bit before showing a gentle smile on her face. Then, Kanon sits beside me facing La Folia and Raius.

"That smiling expression really looks like her..." Raius said with a sad expression.

"Her.. do you mean my mother?" Kanon asked.

"Yes, your mother and the woman who supposed to be my third wives, Kanemoto Aya." Raius nodded and said.

"I see... So you are my father... And my mother's name is Kanemoto Aya..." Kanon said with a sad expression.

"I heard you lived in an orphanage from the day you were born... It can't be helped if you are disappointed in your mother or me. But please hear my story..." Raius said with a painful expression.

"...Thank you, thank you, my daughter... I will never force you to come back to the kingdom as long as you are happy." Raius lowered his head and cryingly said. Looking at that, Kanon stood up and went to Raius and hug him.

Nanaka, La Folia, and I looked at each other and nodded before we left them to talk with each other. Although she wanted to talk with Kanon too, her grandfather comes first as he probably has many things to talk about.

Before we went out, I had looked back at Kanon and seen her moving her mouth without sounds and smiled. I nodded with a smile because I know what she just said.

"How about we have a girls talk with everyone, La Folia-san?" Nanaka suggested with a smile.

"Of course. Don't worry Izumi, I will get their permission without fail!" La Folia nodded and said with a smile. Thus, Nanaka and La Folia went to wake the other girls up.

'I guess I will watch Papa Shirogane's live stream in the meantime. He has a schedule this morning after all'
