We always cross paths with people for a reason.Every day, you meet people who either pass you by or end up changing your life, or you may be the one who changes theirs.

Alora approaches a mirror. She takes a step back and looks at herself sternly.

She blew her nose with a handkerchief from her handbag.

She smiled broadly, hands on her hips.

Daniel locked his gaze on her through the glass of the cafe. She probably had no idea there was someone on the other side of the glass.

Aloha leaned in closer to the mirror, startling Daniel slightly. Daniel let out a deep sigh. This is extremely unpleasant. He just wanted to go out and tell her that there was someone behind the glass.

He, however, did not.

"Welcome". Lora walked into the convenience store, and the part-timer said.

As she steps on a card, Alora looks down, startled.

She picks it up and discovers it is a student ID card from the same school she attends.

She makes her way to the part-timer.

"I found this student ID card near the exit. Can you keep it? The owner might come back for it." Alora stated.

The part-timer smiled as she accepted the student ID card from Alora.

"I will do that."

"Thank you" With a smile, Alora said.

Alora got what she wanted from the store.

She checks out and walks out of the store through the exit door, passing a young male.

"Please excuse me." Daniel exclaimed.

The part-timer turned to face him, putting a halt to what she was doing .

"How can I assist you?" She inquired.

"Um...I think I dropped my student ID card here. Have you by any chance come about it?". Daniel asked.

The part timer's face light up.

"Oh. This must be yours. A girl found it earlier and gave it to me".

Daniel smiled broadly.

Daniel's smile faded as the part-time handed him the student ID card.

It was not his.

"This isn't my mine. Alora Levi is the name here. "I am Daniel May." Daniel expressed his concern with a worried expression on his face.

"Oh. She must have left hers by mistake because you guys attend the same school." said the part-timer.

Daniel let out a deep sigh.

He eventually left the store with someone else's student ID card.

It was already dark. Daniel was standing by the roadside, waiting for the bus.

His phone rang, and it was a call from Andres, his roommate and his best friend. He quickly answered the phone call.

"What in the world happened?. You didn't take the test we had in class today." Andres said aloud from his phone.

Daniel let out a deep sigh.

"It was a very bad day for me. I misplaced my student ID Card, and the school would not let me in without it."

"How can you be so irresponsible!" "Where did you leave it?" Andres inquired.

"At the convenience store. I returned to ask for it, but the person who picked it up dropped Thiers instead of mine."

"What?!. "What were they thinking?!?"

"I'm not sure. In any case, she attends the same university as us. Could you please check her out for me? Please!". Daniel stated.

Daniel boarded the bus while still on the phone with Andres.

"Okay. I can do that. What's the name?" Andres inquired.

"Alora Levi," she says. Daniel responded.

"Hmmm...this might take a little longer than I expected." Andres stated.

Daniel let out a deep sigh.

"Wait a second. So, instead of giving it back to the part-timer to hold and give to the owner, you kept it and gave yours instead as a prank?

"Jesus, Alora. What went through your head when you did that?" David inquired.

David is Alora's best friend as well as Alora's elder brother's close friend.

They were both eating snacks in a cafe.

"I just thought it would be fun.I've been bored lately and just wanted to have some fun. And, besides, we're both students at the same university, so what's the harm in that?" Alora said, laughing slightly.

"You're such a moron." David began to walk away as he stood up with his coffee in his hands.

"Wait a minute! Where are you going?" Alora inquired.

"Unlike someone stupid I know who switched her student ID card for fun, I'm leaving now because our test is in an hour. Now tell me how you're going to get into school for your test if you don't have your Student ID card. Have as much fun as you want!" David stated.

Alora finally realized what was going on.

She held on to David's arm as he was about to walk away.

"Please help me, David!" Don't leave me. I promise I won't do it again!"

"We're in public. You're making me look bad, you idiot." As he struggled to free Alora from him, David half-yelled.

Andres, Daniel's roommate, was sitting at the table across from David and Alora.

He had been listening in on their conversation for quite some time.

He smiled to himself as he picked up the Student ID card. His suspicion was correct. The student ID card belonged to Daniel.

Andres dashed back to his seat with the student card, while Alora dashed back to get her bag and snacks before chasing after David.

Daniel had just returned from taking his dog for a walk.

As he stepped out of the shower, his phone lit up with a message from Andres.

It was a picture of his student ID card.

Daniel's face brightens with a broad smile.

How did Andres get his hands on it?

"How did you find it?" He inquired via Chat.

"It's a complicated story." And it isn't free!" Andres responded with a message. He's got a big grin on his face.

He planned to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"What do you mean?" Daniel inquired.

"I will give it to you only if you agree to do the dishes and my laundry for a week.".

"What the hell?!..Andres!!".

"Haha!. Deal or no deal. Remember 'deal' you get your student card back. 'no deal' you do not get your student card back. Which one is it going to be?". Andres laughed softly as he sent the message.

"I will get back at you. .... Deal".

"Good choice!".

Andres smiled to himself.
