8 8 Situation worsened
The next month went by without any event.In the meantime Gabriel and his team went for few more kills.Whenever they heard about any rogue attack,they were first to reach and kill all the monsters.All the members were elite and knew their role.This greatly helped them win.
On the other hand Louie also had his hands full.He knew it was unethical but he had Nathan follow her which he did begrudgingly.The news of the fights were not taken well by a certain someone.He was so worried about Sarah that he almost bit the informers head off.But his hands were tied.He cannot prevent her from fighting as that was her life.He can only be a spectator and support her by sending reinforcement.
Louie started visiting Sarah's home very frequently.Charlotte became quite close to him and all the others also had a good rapport with him except for Gabriel who was still skeptical.And every time before leaving he made sure to kiss her and nuzzle her nape.In the beginning Sarah protested and on her behalf even others would voice their disgust.But to no avail.There was not a trace of remorse in Louie's attitude.Finally Sarah stopped protesting.Truthfully she always felt a thrill whenever Louie touched her.She felt butterflies in her stomach.The first time Louie did this he said "Get used to it.I am going to do this everyday from now."And he kept his promise.
Louie and Iben both recruited men to keep watch on both Felix's pack and Sam's coven.But that was not so helpful.There was no unnatural movement in both the groups.
After a month of silence suddenly again the killings started.And this time it was even more dangerous.Whole families were killed.Previously it was one body at a time but now the numbers increased.Huge amount of casualties were discovered everyday.Even children and women were not spared.
Rogues were never so organized before.But this time they were facing even more dangerous criminals.This infuriated Louie.Curfew was declared and pack members were asked to stay at home especially after sunset.
Vampire slayers became very busy as they had to fight more often now.Everyday Sarah returned bruised and tired.Louie lost his peace of mind and he was determined to get to the bottom of the matter.
No news was coming from their spies.But suddenly one morning Arthur informed that Sam has left his coven to travel north.This was weird piece of information as he had no reason to travel so far,that too when the whole supernatural world was in turmoil.Arthur and few of his pack members were asked to follow him and keep a watch on the trail.With so many deaths their resources were stretched to its limit.Not a single man could be spared to watch over the vampire hunters.
