4 4 Claiming his Mate

Louie had no idea that they already decided to visit his office.It would have helped him to calm his racing heart but fate had other plans.In the evening he received a message from an unknown number while he was in a meeting.At first he decided to ignore it,but then something told him to check the message.The moment he opened the message his lips curved into a smile.His subordinate who was presenting the speech about marketing and liabilities was speechless for a moment.He had not seen his boss smile so openly,that to never in a meeting.The whole conference room was in a shocked condition and everyone was bewildered.Then Louie further did something unexpected,he adjourned the meeting.

He was eagerly waiting for them to arrive but once five of them entered his office,he had his game face on.

Once they were seated the meeting started.Louie had already invited Nathan,Iben and Arthur:his second in command.Nathan first presented all their findings,the pictures of the bodies,any clues that they came across.Then it was the vampires turn to speak.They also shared their information which Sarah decided to present.After she was done speaking she felt Louie move closer to her.It was so sudden that at first she was confused.She felt Louie sniffed her.He knew it was perverse of him but he had a primal urge to keep smelling her.He was marking his territory.His inner wolf needed it.Now he realized what his pack members meant by taking a mate.He scoffed at them at that time,but now see who is the fool.He wanted Sarah to be his mate.Wolves mated for life and this woman was his to claim.It did not matter that they were of different species.

Louie was deep in his thought and Nathan called him twice to get his attention.They realised that there is a pattern to their killings.Their were three packs in the whole of Minnesota.And as far as they knew there was one coven of vampires but they were peace loving.All the killings are surrounding the pack and the most likely culprit was that vampire coven.But it was hard for Louie to believe it.He had his doubts and he was determined to clear it.Iben was on the other hand very happy as he needed a reason to kill all those bloodsuckers.He passed the judgement of killing them.But others did not agree with him and so for the rest of the meeting he sulked.

Sarah was quite and at times she was covertly glancing at Louie to check his attitude.She was still confused.At one point she was caught and Louie gave her a warm smile.Her heart skipped a beat.

As the meeting dragged on Louie was becoming impatient.He wanted to mark her as first as possible.At one point Gabriel moved closer towards Sarah and this made Louie's blood boil.

Sarah did not know realize when the temperature of the room suddenly dropped.A soft growl was heard.Everyone was shocked to realize it was coming from Louie and it was directed towards Gabriel.

The air was filled with tension.Gabriel's team took a fighting stance but it was Iben who diffused the situation.He at once understood the reason for such behaviour and calmed everyone down.He took great pleasure in the situation and to bring Louie a notch down termed this behaviour to his stressful life and lack of business skills.

Louie was angry but did not want to frighten her before claiming her.

Finally they decided to meet up with the third pack leader and the vampire leader to discuss their views on the matter.

Then He again did something unexpected.Before leaving he hugged Sarah and bit her near her left earlobe and rubbed his face at her nape.Sarah was shocked and was unable to move.As for everyone else all were speechless.Once the initial trauma was over Gabriel and Ethan were angry,Zoe was smiling goofily and Sabrina did not know how to react.Nathan and the other wolves were even more shocked.

But Louie was calm.He claimed her and his smell can be felt by all other wolves as their sense of smell is keen.As far as vampire goes he can always growl at them.
