10 Chapter 9 : A date turned into a deal.

Third person point of view

Leo couldn't help but think that Luke was indeed right. She said that she likes him and all, but she never claimed to be Luke's girlfriend. He nodded understandingly. " But still how can you let her be like that ? So ridiculous ". Looking at how Leo was complaining, Luke could see that Leo didn't like her. " Why ? Are you scared she will steal me from you ? If that is the case, don't worry. I am all yours ". Luke winked at Leo. " You act like you don't know how I feel ".

Leo rolled his eyes and gave Luke a boring look. Luke only chuckled. He liked how Leo was so expressive. From what he observed, any emotion will be showed on Leo's face. Would it be wrong if he said that he found Leo cute? He pushed that thought aside when he heard Leo. " Why didn't you get rid of her ? " " You think I haven't tried. I did. A lot many times. She just doesn't even budge ". Luke sighed in defeat.

They drank their drinks in silence. " Do you think she will come after me ? " Luke just shrugged. Leo massaged his temples. " Like I don't have enough things to deal with ". He gave a side eye to Luke making him clear his throat. Luke was trying his best not to smile. He picked up his glass and was drinking to cover up for the smile. " Anyway, I don't want her to keep getting involved in my life. I don't want her to be at my tail chasing me all the time. Do whatever you have to and stop her ". Luke was thinking about it. She wouldn't listen to him in this matter. The chances were too thin. He kept thinking if there was really no way. And then it struck him.

" Shall we make a deal ? " Leo was confused. He was suspicious of what Luke was up to this time. Luke never really says something nice when he opens his mouth. " What deal ? " " So it is like this. Since we are getting married anyway, you can get rid of her in any way you want. Do whatever so that she will go out of our lives. I cannot be more grateful to you if you do it ". It looks like now they actually grew immune to the fact that they are getting married. They were not as uncomfortable as before to think of it. Leo cocked an eyebrow.

" Why should I do it ? You should be the one dealing with her. And what is it to me in this ? " " You will do it because she is after you. And for the latter part of your question, you are getting married to me. What else do you want ? " Luke smiled wriggling his eyebrows. Leo clenched his jaw and leaned on the table with his hands folded on it. " Do you know what it feels like to have a drink poured over your head and drip down your hair? " His warning was so sweet with a smile on his lips, but still venomous.

Luke laughed at his reaction. He raised his hands in the air like he surrendered. " Just kidding. Cool. Umm, let me think. If I am not wrong I heard that you are looking for a chance to open your art gallery right ? " Leo nodded. " It is it then. I will help you for it. It is a win-win situation. You get rid of her for me and I will help you with your gallery. Deal ? " Luke extended his hand for a shake. Leo thought for a second and decided to go for it. He was not totally sure but he decided to do it. So he took his hand and shook it. Luke smiled. " I think you know that there are a few collaborations coming up between a few companies and also with yours. So in a few days I will be able to help you with it for sure ". Leo nodded.

" Thank you ". " No problem ". They finished their drinks and Luke insisted on paying for both of them even after Leo protested against it. Luke didn't let Leo pay at the end. Leo just accepted it since Luke was so persistent. He was indeed so stubborn. " How are you going ? " Luke asked as he was near his car. " Public transport. A bus or taxi maybe ". " You should have used your car ". Leo shook his head a little. " I don't really like to go in it ". Luke nodded in acknowledgement. " Then let me give you a ride. Get in ". " No,no. It is fine. I will go by myself ". " Oh, come on. You don't need to be so formal. Get in. I will take you. The same place right ? " Leo nodded. Luke tilted his head asking him to get in. Leo sighed and got in. It seems like he had no other choice.

Luke drove him to his college and parked to a side. The whole ride was silent, but then it was not awkward. " Thank you ". Leo said with a small smile, as he removed his seat belt. " The pleasure is all mine ". Leo chuckled at his words and that brought a smile on Luke's face as well. Leo got out and closed the door. But then he heard Luke horn and turned around. He took a step back to move closer. " What is it ? " Leo bent his upper half to speak through the window. " Actually, I've never dated her. And also I am not dating anyone right now. It has been a while since I've dated someone". " Oh okay. But, why are you telling me this ? " Luke shrugged. " Just wanted you to know ".

Leo was confused but nodded anyway. " Okay ". " Have a nice time ". Luke waved him bye and left the place. Luke smiled and drove to go back to work. Leo walked back as well. He smiled a little while walking. It seemed like Luke was not a total jerk. He didn't understand Luke totally and even if they were not very close, he still knew it. He hummed lightly as he walked back.
