9 Chapter 8 : The unexpected date.

Third person point of view

Leo took a few deep breaths and went back to his work. He couldn't help but think of what just happened. He is going to speak to Luke about it. So, he picked up his phone to text Luke.

Leo : We need to meet.

Luke saw his phone vibrate and the screen lit up. He saw that it was from Leo. He smiled at the text and replied.

Luke : We just met yesterday. Do you miss me already ? 😉

Leo : Miss you, my foot. Just tell me the place and time.

Leo put his phone aside and waited for the reply. He saw the location and the time. He said that he was fine with it and went back to his work.

Luke was the one to reach early. He had ordered for himself and was waiting for Leo. He was sitting at a table which had a good view. Leo entered and looked around the place. He saw that Luke was already there. He walked towards the table where Luke was. He sat in front of him and removed his mask. " Hey ". Luke signaled for the lady at the counter. She put a drink in front of Leo. " What is this ? " " For you ". Leo was confused. " I didn't order it ". " I did,...for you ". " Why would you do that ? " " Hmmm. Why ? I visit this place often. I have tasted a lot of drinks here. It will be really good,trust me. Also I really like this place. It has good vibes ".

Leo glanced around and thought that it was true indeed. It had a good atmosphere. He nodded. He would just drink it. Not like he minded it. But it felt different to have Luke order for him. Luke sipped his drink. Leo did too. It was tasty indeed. " It is nice ". " Of course it will be. It is me who ordered. My choice is never wrong ". Leo only scoffed at those words. " You are so full of yourself aren't you ?" Luke shrugged. " You don't like me being like this ? Then tell me how you want me to be ". Luke rested him chin on his hand and his voice was different. He was looking straight at Leo. Leo looked up to meet Luke's provocative gaze. He understood what Luke was up to. He moved a little backward subconsciously and averted his eyes.

His ears turned a little red. But should Luke really speak that way ? He is just too shameless. They were not the only ones around for goodness sake. When he looked up, he saw a girl from the table beside them who was giggling looking at them. Leo just shook his head lightly and took a sip. Luke pouted and sat back, removing his hands from the table. " You are no fun to tease ". He didn't say anything else and was only drinking. Leo heaved a sigh in his heart seeing that Luke was not saying anything. He was happy that Luke didn't notice his red ears. It would be too embarrassing. Luke suddenly looked up like he realized something, making Leo wonder what he was going to say again.

" It is surprising that you were the one who wanted to meet. It is because you missed me right? " Leo gave him an angry gaze thinking he is back at it. Luke chuckled. " If not that, then what is it ? You wanted a date with me? You should have said it. I would've picked a better place then ". " You really need to shut that mouth of yours and your girlfriend's too " " What ? " Luke was confused. Leo sighed heavily trying to control his temper. " Do you know that your girlfriend came to me yesterday ? " Luke choked on his drink. He picked up a tissue as he coughed to cover his mouth. " My girlfriend ? " He was shocked. How come he himself doesn't know that he has a girlfriend? He wanted to laugh at those words. But Leo's glare was hard.

It wouldn't be a wonder if Leo just smacks his face if he dared to laugh. But then where did this nonexistent girlfriend suddenly pop up from out of nowhere ? Is she even from this planet or some alien ? Or a ghost ? Leo would definitely hit Luke, if he knew his thoughts. Luke chuckled but covered it with the cough when he say Leo looking at him like he wants to bury him. " Don't act like you don't know ". " I really don't know. I swear ". " She came to me yesterday and warned me..." Leo told Luke everything that happened. Luke was trying to guess who that can be. He listened to everything Leo said. He was sure that it was her but he still had a small doubt.

" What the hell ? " Leo rolled his eyes. " It should be me who should say that. How can she do that ? " " Give me a second. Is this the person who came to you yesterday ? " He showed the picture of Kayla to Leo. " It is her ". Luke sat back in his chair. He knew it. He couldn't believe she just did that. She is really going that far. " She is not my girlfriend ". " What ? " " Yes, really, she is not. " Leo gave him a questioning look. " The thing is, she is basically stuck like a leech to me. I have tried to get rid of her, but she just doesn't leave me alone. Always at my tail. If I am not wrong she wouldn't have said that she was my girlfriend. She doesn't say that sentence".
