3 Chapter 3 : The second meet is not so good as well !

Luke point of view

I step on the brake and stop my car. A person opens the door of the car. I get out of it and walk to the door. I came home and walk in. As I continue my steps into the house, I saw that no one seemed to be there around the house. From the second I entered, no one came into my sight. I saw a maid walking by and stopped her. " Where are my parents ? " They were the ones who called me to come home and now they are nowhere to be seen. " We have guests sir. They are in the other room ".

I just nod at her and she leaves after a small bow. I walked up to the room she told me my parents were in. I think about what she told me. Guests? Who would have come to visit them? It is rare that someone came to my house to visit my parents. Let them be. I think as I take another step up the stairs. But why me here then ? I walked up to the room with all these thoughts running in my mind and opened the doors to the room which the maid said my parents were in. I look around the room as I go inside. I could see two more people, besides my parents, sitting on the couch. I could vaguely hear my mom announcing my arrival. I turn my eyes to look at the lady who has smiled at me.

The smile that was making way to my lips froze in my brain itself as I look at the person beside her. My eyes go wide as I stare back at his eyes which were wide as well. I couldn't believe what was happening. Even though, now he was in just a hoodie and jeans and his hair was very casually styled, I didn't forget that face. And now that I see it once again in front of me, I surely knew it was him. I didn't know if this was something I should laugh at or cry about ? Is this really happening ? So when she said guests, she was referring to them?! I stand there dumbfounded for a second. I couldn't say anything.

I was still in a slight daze and didn't know if it is really real. A million thoughts were running in my mind. I might feel dizzy if this continues. The first meet was not so harmonious, so I pondered upon what it might turn out as this time. Why does my gut keep saying to me that I just jinxed myself by coming here ? I try ignoring the feeling which is bubbling inside me. I hope for the best.

Third person point of view

As they both look at each other not knowing what to do, their parents were all smiles and happily chatting. Luke could guess that the lady was Leo's mother. Since Leo hates him, it is going to be the same with him as well. He was just playing around that day. But now when he saw Leo here again, he couldn't help but sigh. Luke glanced at Leo, who is sitting on the couch, with one leg crossed over the other and his fingers fiddling in his lap. And a second glance from Leo never came.

Leo was equally irritated to find this guy again. He never wanted to meet Luke again, but now they were here again in the same room. Leo was feeling a bit impatient. But then the adults didn't seem to notice the tension between them. " It is nice to meet you. I have heard about you from your parents ". He heard Leo's mother say. Luke smiled and glanced at Leo, who was not even looking at him. Leo couldn't care less, he was never willing to come here and now seeing Luke here, he could only hate it even more. " Come, sit down ". " It is fine, thank you. What is the reason that you've called me to come for ? "

Luke asked straightforwardly. He has never liked to beat around the bush and now the situation was just even worse. Leo was also curious about it as well. He asked the reason before but didn't get any answer. But his mother told him that, he can find out when he comes to this place. Now that the topic has come up, Leo turned towards them to listen to it. Their parents looked at each other and finally decided to break the ice. Luke's mother was the one who decided to do it. With a nod towards the other two adults, she looked at Luke and then at Leo. She took a deep breath and looked up again.

" The thing is that we have been friends for a really long time ". "We are like family to each other after all ". Leo's mother added to Luke's mother. They were looking at them with their eyebrows furrowed. " Yes, yes, we are." Luke's father added to it at the end after a second. Luke and Leo only held an expression which read 'so what ?' and they only wanted the reason. "So we want you both to get married ". They were shocked out of their wits when they heard it. " WHAT ?"
