18 Chapter 17 : Hence proved !

Third person point of view

Leo decided to paint something more than just any scenery. He stood in front of his canvas thinking about what he should draw. He was just staring at it for a few minutes. He then picked up his brush. He randomly sprinkled some colors on it. He picked up another thin brush. He dipped it in black paint. He started drawing on it. By the time he was done, he took a step back to look at it. He was shocked at what the outcome was.

He stared at it and didn't know what to say about it. He actually drew two guys who were staring at each other holding hands. Even if they were just in black one could guess that they were facing each other. He sat on a stool looking at the picture. What was he thinking to draw something like this ? Jade came in silently and wanted to scare Leo. But when he stood behind Leo, he saw the painting and gasped loudly, which made Leo realize the presence of his being there.

Leo hid it by standing in front of it. " Move aside ". Jade pulled Leo away from it. He was staring at it closely. " What did you just draw ? " Leo massaged his temples. He bit his lip and looked down. " Nothing. It is just something random ". He was about to remove it from there, but Jade stopped him. " No, don't. Stop ". He pushed Leo before he could remove it. " You like him, don't you ? "

" No, it is not like that. It just happened to be like that. I drew it without thinking much. My mind just.." He threw his hands in the air unable to explain. Jade was looking at him with his hands folded and raised eyebrows. Leo doesn't have an answer. He just removed his apron and left the place. Jade followed behind him. Leo glared feeling tired at his friend who was still smiling looking at him. They went to a cafe nearby.

Leo wanted to clear up his mind, so he decided to come out. He was thinking deep in thought while Jade was enjoying looking at him. " Stop it already ". Leo was now frustrated. " What did I do ? " Leo gave him a boring look. " Don't give me that look. I told you it is nothing ". " If you say so ". Leo sighed heavily, he was not in the mood to argue. Jade shook his head laughing lightly.

" I got accepted as an intern in a company ". Leo looked up with bright eyes. " Wow, that's great. Congratulations ". " Thank you ". " By the way, which company ? " " Want to try guessing ? " Leo raised an eyebrow. " I am not sure. You are joining in the legal team of a company ? " Jade nodded. " Let me think ". He tried but couldn't really say any. " I am not sure. Just say it ". " The top legal team right now ". Leo opened his mouth slowly, he was surprised after all.

" Elite enterprises ". Jade nodded. Leo didn't know what to say. " Oh ". " What do you say ? " Leo was confused. " What do you mean ? " " I mean, I want to know what you think about me joining there ". " I have no opinion on it ". " Really ? " " Yeah. But what made you think I would have a problem with it ? "

" I don't know. Just wanted to ask ". Leo chuckled. " I don't hold any grudge against Luke nor do I hate him. And it is such a good offer. I wouldn't want you to lose it anyway. So I have no issues with it. Don't think so much ". Leo smiled. Jade smiled too. " When are you going to start working ? " " In a few days. I guess it is after your wedding ". " Will you tell them ? " " Them ? " " Luke or Ken maybe ".

" I want to surprise them too ". " Fine. And looks like you are good friends with Ken ". Jade chuckled. " We just get along well, that's it ". " Uh huh ". Leo laughed. " What ? " Jade was smiling too. " Nothing. Did I say anything ? No right ? " Leo smirked. Jade rolled his eyes. " How about we will go for dinner today ? Celebration for your new job ". " Sure, let's go. My treat. I will text you once I am done. I have a few more things to finish ". Leo nodded. " I will go clean up too. See you ". They part ways to go back to their own work.

Once he was done with everything, Jade texted Leo. The met up to leave for a restaurant. They hailed a taxi. That restaurant has always been their favorite. " It has been a while since we had dinner together ". Leo said as they were walking out. " True. It really has been a while. I am not sure if you will be available later ". " In case I have high blood pressure someday, it is because of you and your damn teasing ". Jade laughed and patted Leo's shoulder. " Just kidding. Cool down ". Leo could only roll his eyes. They waited for a taxi. Leo was the first one to hail one and Jade was able to find one soon.

Leo felt pretty tired after having dinner and drinking a little. He had a long day. He entered his room, put his bag and painting near the desk. Leo took the painting home. He decided to put it along with his other ones in his room. He sat on the bed thinking about it. He was thinking about him at that moment maybe. So it might be that, he just did it. It was just a pure coincidence. He kept telling that to himself. He was not clear about what he was thinking while doing it. He knew very well that it is not the truth. But he tried to convince himself with that.

He wondered what it would be like if they get married and start living together. He sighed looking at the ceiling. He shook his head. He should stop thinking about Luke. He was confused and frustrated at how his thoughts ended up. He didn't want to think about it anymore. He went to take a shower.
