15 Chapter 14 : Good friends give good suggestions.

Third person point of view

After sometime, Luke was looking through the documents and Ken came in to take them back. Luke was glaring at him since the morning. " Don't keep looking at me like that. You might dig a hole on my beautiful face ". " I really wish I could ". Ken scratched his head. He picked up the file and left.

Leo was thinking of the theme he should paint, when someone called for him. He wondered who it was. He could try guessing who it can be. He went anyway. He saw that it was Kayla again. He sighed thinking of what he should do. He cleared his throat when he was near her. She turned to look at him. " What do you want this time ? " Leo spoke with a poker face. " You have quite some arrogance don't you ? " " Yes, what if I do ? " She was taken aback by his attitude, but she didn't show it. Leo didn't give her time to recover.

" What does me getting married to Luke got to do with you ? You are not his girlfriend, are you ? He doesn't like you, does he ? Then ? " Kayla was just staring at him. " I will do whatever I want. For that matter, you have no right to speak like this. I am his fiance and I have complete rights on him. Got it ? Now stop bothering me and leave. Never come here again. Even better if you go out of Luke's life as well ". Leo turned away after saying that. He didn't even listen to what she was saying. As a matter of fact, she had no words to say. She was shocked at how he spoke to her. She could only stomp away in angst. Leo has recorded all of it. He was thinking, whether to tell Luke or not.

Luke was working on his computer when he heard his phone ring. He saw it was Leo. " Hello ". " Hey, Luke ". Luke could feel the hesitation in Leo's voice. " What happened ? You want to see me or something ? " " Come on ". Luke laughed and continued. " Then ? " " Umm... The thing is,.. Kayla came to me again ". " What did she say ? " The change in Luke's tone was clear . " Actually, I have the voice record. I will send it to you. Nothing much happened, but yeah just listen to it ". " Fine. Bye ". He hung up after that. He saw the message from Leo. He played it and heard how Leo spoke. He found it funny and laughed as well. He wondered about how Leo was so sassy while speaking. He chuckled and texted Leo.

Luke : Wow. You are something else.😂 You really left her dumbfounded. Amazing, my dear fiance.😉👍🏻

Leo rolled his eyes at the way Luke addressed him.

Leo : Don't tease me now.

Luke smiled at it.

Luke : Fine, fine. But you were really good. Don't worry that she might do something. I always got your back.

Leo felt happy to see that.

Leo : Thank you.

Luke put his phone aside and was staring at the file in front of him. Ken happened to come in to talk about some file. He saw Luke who has zoned out. He stood in front of him. " What are you thinking about ? " Luke saw him and shook his head. " About the color of the bed sheet ? " Ken asked teasingly. " I am telling you. Don't blame me for the consequences ". " You want my suggestion ? " " You bastard ". Luke threw a file at Ken, but he caught before it could hit his face. " This is what I am here for ". Ken said with a small smile while looking at the file in his hand. He forgot to take it before, so had to come back for it.

They heard the door open and Kayla walked in. Luke smirked at Kayla who was fuming. He looked away. " You know what ? " " What ? " Luke gave an arrogant and bored look. She tried hard to not burst out of anger. " I met that guy today. You know how arrogant he is ? How dare he speak to me like that ? " Luke rolled his eyes. " He is not 'that' guy. He has a name. Second thing, why did you go to him ? And also you say how dare he ? He will, why not ? He is my fiance after all. I didn't expect you to do something like this ". He looked away feeling irritated.

" He told you everything right ? How can he call you up and tell things about me ? " " No, you are wrong. I called him. I missed my darling, so I called him up. When I noticed that something was wrong, I asked him and he told me. Why are you blaming him ? It is not like you are too dumb to know the truth and reality, are you ? You should really ask yourself about this behavior of yours ". He shook his head in disapproval. Kayla couldn't take it anymore. She rushed out of the office without looking back. Luke sighed and looked at Ken who was shocked, confused and surprised all at once.

" Leo told me before when she first met him. He called me not long back and told about this too ". Luke told about the voice recording and let Ken hear it as well. Ken was surprised though. " He just deadpanned her ". He laughed after listening to it. " It looks like you will be able to get rid of her this time ". Luke nodded in approval. " And you were nothing less. You are supporting him so much now itself. I wonder what it would be like after you get married ". Luke rolled his eyes. " Get lost ". Ken laughed. " And also 'my darling' ? " Ken laughed even more at it.

" Out. Now ". Luke was serious, drop dead serious. " I am going to leave then ". Ken reached the door, but turned around. " Call me if you need help for any suggestions ". Luke was confused for a second but when he saw the expression on Ken's face, he knew what he was speaking about. " You! Come here. Come here you jerk ". Ken didn't give him any chance and ran away once again. Luke shook his head. He shouldn't have said that. He face palmed. Now Ken is going to be a pain in the ass, teasing him all the time. He glanced at his phone. He forgot to stop the voice recorder. He stopped and sent it to Leo.
