14 Chapter 13 : Teased to death !

Third person point of view

The next morning Leo woke up and was ready to go to the house. He took a taxi to that place. He got down and stood at the front. Luke was also ready and went out as soon as possible. He parked his car and went in. He took a deep breath and kept telling himself to stay calm. By the time he reached the place, he saw Leo waiting. " Sorry to keep you waiting ". Leo turned to look at him. " No, even I just reached. Let's go ". " Sure ". The code was a basic one '123456'. Since there is no one living it was random. Once they entered, they were feeling a teeny-weeny bit awkward, but now that they were really looking around, it escalated.

They were just going around without speaking much. If they were to choose, they could change the colors of the rooms or the sheets and things like that. But now the house had light colors and they didn't really mind it. So everything was fine. They were in the next floor. When Leo opened the door of the room, they found it to be the master bedroom. Luke visibly gulped hard and Leo's eyes went wide. Leo was the first to walk in. They just kept looking around standing in the room, but didn't even glance at each other. The atmosphere was just too awkward.

" I don't think there are any changes I want. You can look around once and come out ". Luke said and left the room in a hurry without even waiting for a reply. Leo was screaming internally. He balled his hands into fists and hit the air swinging his arms. He then closed his eyes and took a deep breath and let it out. He did it a few times. He wriggled a little and stood with his hands on his hips. He threw his head back. He sat on the bed and stayed there for a few minutes.

Luke took deep breaths as soon as he came out of the room. He felt a lump in his throat and felt it go dry all of a sudden. He found it a bit suffocating. He didn't feel like looking at anything anymore. He kept telling himself to act normal. So he just went down to wait for Leo. Leo took a few minutes and went down. The atmosphere was better now. They were back to normal, almost. Weren't they...?

" Shall we go ? I don't think there is anything I want to change. What about you ? " Luke tried to be normal as much as possible. " Same with me. It is fine ". The house was good. All the things were there. It was not too far from either of their work places. So they were fine with it. Everything was settled. " Then, shall we leave ? We can tell our parents ". Leo nodded. They felt like they were relieved of a big burden as soon as they were out. It was like they were able to breathe again. Luke stood near his car. " How are you going ? " He knew it was awkward before but he just said the first thing that came to his mind.

In fact they should learn to get used to having each others presence around them. Even if it was awkward Luke didn't mind asking. He had a bit of a thick face to begin with anyway. " I will take a taxi ". " Let me drop you ". " It is fine. I will go by myself ". " It is fine. Come ". Luke walked to get in the car. Leo knew how stubborn Luke was, so he didn't reject it and got in. Leo removed his seat belt. " Sorry for the trouble and thank you so much ". " No mention. My pleasure ". Leo smiled and got down. He waved at Luke and watched the car drive away. Luke went into his office to find Ken already there.

" Good morning. Why are you late ? " " Had something to do ". " What is it ? " " You and your nosy self. Do the work ". " Come on. Tell me. Please ". He tried acting cute. " No, don't do that. I might get diarrhea ". Ken rolled his eyes. " Then tell me ". " We went to check the new house ". " Ohhhhhh.....wait. What did you say ? " " What ? " " Did you just say 'we' ? " Luke cursed silently. His tongue just slipped. " No. I said thee not we ".

" No. I heard it right. You didn't say that. What are you? An aristocrat? Living in ancient times? So you are speaking in that way ? Will you say 'Off with his head !' next? Huh? " Luke rolled his eyes. " Now stop with your snarly remarks. I know you love books, need not rub it on my face ". Ken smirked. " Don't try to fool me. I know what I heard ". Luke avoided him. " You went there with Leo ? "

Ken wiggled his eyebrows that smirk still adorning his lips. " Yes, so ? What is wrong ? " Luke tried acting nonchalant. " Uh huh. Nothing. I just want to tell that...." Ken was dragging it and Luke looked at him suspiciously. " It will be nice if your walls are soundproof, but since it is only you two, it should be fine anyway. Buy bed sheets of goooooooooood quality and dark color ". Luke was shocked to hear it. " You asshole. Come here. You have a death wish, you jerk. I will throw you from the top floor, you dumbass. Come here ". Ken got up from his chair and ran to the other side of the office.

" I just told the truth ". Luke got up to hit him. Ken will be dead if he is caught. Ken ran out of the office and closed the door. He held on to the knob not letting it go. " Open it ". Luke mouthed it to Ken. Ken shook his head vigorously. Luke took out his phone and called Ken. Ken picked it up. " Open the damn door Ken ! RIGHT ! NOW !" " No, I will not. You can fire me if you want to. My life is more important to me ".

" Then you shouldn't speak things that can reduce your life span, you idiot ". " Sorry, sorry. Okay. I really am. Calm down. Sorry ". He smiled but it was half apologetic and half teasing. " If I find you fooling around like this once again, you will be dead meat. Got it ?" " Yes, sir ". He let go of the door knob and ran away from there. Luke sat in his chair and tried to calm down. He could feel his cheeks heat up at the thought. He shook his head to get rid of the thoughts. He would have killed Ken if he caught him. He huffed in rage.
