13 Chapter 12 : The wedding consequences.

Third person point of view

Luke smiled at his phone and put it aside. He didn't notice Ken who was standing a few feet away from the table and staring at him. He was confused at the look Ken was giving him. " What is it ? " Ken shook his head and sat in front of him. " You don't know ? " Luke was even more confused. " What should I know ? " Ken smiled at Luke who was totally confused. " You were texting Leo ? " Luke's eyes went wide when he heard it. " How did you know ? " Ken clapped his hands. " So it is Leo indeed ? I just guessed it, but looking at your reaction, I am right ". He smiled proudly. Luke was still confused.

" What are you speaking ? Please speak human language so that I can understand". " You want to know ? " Luke nodded seriously. " I will not tell you ". Ken laughed teasingly. Luke huffed and clenched his teeth. " Fine, don't tell me. But, don't forget that you are still working for me. I can do anything I want about your job ". Ken gave a toothy grin. " I know you wouldn't do that to your dearest friend. Fine. It is just that, when I saw you smile at your phone just now, I could guess it ". Luke was shocked to hear those words. " When did I smile ? " He scoffed awkwardly and picked up the file on his table to continue with work. " If you say so ". Ken also resumed his work. Luke just gave him a side glance and didn't want to counter it.

Leo put his phone aside and looked out of the window. Since he has cleared it up and knew that Luke was on his side on this, he felt assured. The frown on his face was finally gone. If not totally, his mind was clear to certain extent. He walked to the canvas. He saw the scenery out of the window and started painting it. Jade saw Leo draw it again. " Why do you draw it all the time ? " " What do you mean ? " " I mean, it is the same scenery. You look out of one of the windows and draw it. It will always be the same. It is not going to change every day, is it ?"

Leo smiled at the question. " True. It doesn't change. Maybe the people sitting change but, it doesn't really make a difference. But what makes the difference is the emotion. I might feel sad at once, happy, angry or anything else. Every time I draw I might have felt something else. So that sure makes a difference in it ". He turned to see Jade who was confused. " Don't think too much your brain cells will burn down. You need an artistic mind to understand this ". Leo laughed. " I better not try understanding ". Jade gave a nervous laugh. Leo shook his head and went back to his work.

Luke went home at night after finishing all of his work. He was pretty tired. He met his mother on his way to his room. " You just came home ? " He nodded at his mother. " I have something to tell you. Do you have time tomorrow ? " " What is it ? " " I want you to go and check your new house ". " WHAT ? " Luke was shocked. Now what was she up to? " Why are you shouting ? You have to live together right ? So your father bought a house for the both of you. So, go there and check it once. If you don't want to go alone, take Leo with you ". He poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue.

" Fine, I will check up on it. I guess I can go tomorrow and about going with Leo, let's see. I will ask if he is fine with it ". His mother looked at him from top to bottom. " Fine. Do as you wish. But do go there. It is fully furnished, but if you want any changes make sure you do it ". He nodded. " I will go to my room now ". He walked up to his room. He sat on his bed. He shook his head and fell back on the bed. If he knew about it, then Leo should have found out as well. It looks like they are really a couple. He snorted at the thought. They always find out everything at the same time.

He pulled out his phone from his pocket. He unlocked it and was hesitating to call Leo. He was staring at the contact name. At the end he decided to call. Leo was just sketching something randomly sitting on his bed. He heard his ringtone and saw the caller id. He wondered why Luke was calling him. He picked up the call. Luke was waiting for Leo to pick up the call. And he finally did. " Hello ". Leo said as soon as he picked up and he was still holding the pencil trying to draw while speaking. " Hey ".

" What happened ? It is rare that you are the one to call me ". Luke chuckled. " Nothing much, just..." Leo didn't know what it was about. He was confused at the hesitance. " What is it Luke ? " Luke sat up again. " You know I like it when you call my name ". Leo rolled his eyes. " You called me to tell that ? Get to the point already ". Luke spoke with slight hesitance. " Did your mom inform you something ? " Leo thought for a second and he remembered that she did. " Ah ! You are asking about the house ? " " Yeah ". " I found out today. When are you going to go there ? " " I thought I will go tomorrow in the morning before going to work ". " Oh okay ". " What about you ? "

Leo stopped drawing for a second and tapped with the pencil on his chin. " I don't know. I didn't think of it yet ". " Then, how about this ? Will you come at the same time ? If we go together, we can see if anything is not according to our taste and make changes. It is time saving too. We can finish it once and for all ". Leo thought for a second. " Fine, let's do that ". " Okay then, see you. Bye ". " Bye ". Leo put his phone aside and checked the book. He was drawing a face and he drew the outline and the eyes.

He realized something. He thought it looked like Luke. " Huh? " He was shocked at his own thoughts. How did it happen ? He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes and took a second glance at it. Now that he kept looking at it, it looked more and more like Luke. He closed his book and put it aside. It might be because he was speaking to him just now. He convinced himself with that and pushed the thought to the back of his brain.
