12 Chapter 11 : What else do you need for a wedding ?

Third person point of view

Once they were done they walked out of the store. Luke received a call from his mother. " Did you go for the suits ? " " Yes, we did. We are done and coming out ". " Then go to find the wedding rings as well ". " Mom! " Luke whined into the phone. " Just do that as well. It will be nice if you check if they are perfect or not, right ? Now go". She hung up after that. Leo checked a message from his mother as well. She asked if he was done. When he replied that he was done, she has asked him to go to check up on the rings too.

He sighed and turned to Luke who was looking at him. " Seems like you got the information as well ". Leo nodded. " Let's go then ". Leo nodded and they walked to Luke's car together. They both sat at the back, while Ken is the driver and Jade sat on the passenger seat. Ken glanced at the people in the back seat through the rear view mirror, who were looking out of the window. He turned his gaze to Jade who was sitting beside him and noticed him looking at the mirror too. He knew that Jade's eyes were the same as his. And when their eyes met, they exchanged a smile and turned to the front again.

They drove for sometime before they reached the destination. They walked into the store. A sales lady approached them as soon as they entered. It was rare for such handsome guys to come to store. She greeted them with a smile. " Hello. How may I help you ? " They exchanged a look and Luke decided to speak. He tried his best to not get embarrassed and act properly. " Umm.....we are looking for rings ". " Please come this way ". She took them to the side where there were rings. " Please take a look at these. They are our latest collection ".

Luke contemplated for a few seconds. He calmed down and took a deep breath. He looked at Leo beside him who was feeling equally insecure. He sighed and turned to the lady. " The thing is, we want....wedding rings ". He said after a pause. The lady was a bit shocked to hear that. Their faces turned a light shade of red. Leo's ears were visibly red now. He tried hiding his face but he couldn't. The lady was yet to respond, but the manager of the store came out. " Hello sir. Madam notified me about your arrival. Please come this way ". He led them to the other side.

They were plain and simple but still elegant. Their parents ordered to carve 'L 🤍 L' on it. They insisted on collecting them later, as they were only here to check the sizes. Once they were done they breathed a heavy sigh of relief. Ken and Jade who were waiting outside chatting happily exchanged a look and smiled. Luke and Leo waved each other bye and left their ways. It would be awkward for them, so Luke didn't want to offer him a ride. He knew it was better if they went their ways. They were feeling better when they reached their own places. Both of them let out a long breath as if they are relieved of a huge burden.

Jade along with Leo entered the room and thought Leo looked rather tired. " What is it? " Jade asked. Leo sighed. " Nothing, why ? ". Leo was looking at his hands on his lap. " Nothing ". Jade chuckled. Leo looked up with his ears red as blood. " What ? " " Nothing. I didn't even say anything ". Jade turned away with a smirk. Leo could only turn away with a small pout. His mind started wandering. He thought of the deal they made the day before. He should think of what it will be like when he crosses path with her again. He threw his head back and closed his eyes.

On the other side, Luke has reached the office and was working. It has been some time since he has been in his office. He glanced at his phone and turned away again. The next time he glanced at it he picked it up. He was hesitant in sending the text. After giving it a thought he sent it.

Luke: Did you reach safely ?

Leo was still just sitting lost in thought. He heard his phone ding and checked it. He saw a text from Luke. He was a bit surprised at it.

Leo : Yes. You ?

Leo found it a bit funny. He was not a kid. Luke was waiting for the reply and he did get it. He smiled at it.

Luke : Yes.

Both the parties thought it was a bit awkward right now as both of them didn't know what to say. Leo decided to ask Luke the things he has been thinking about.

Leo : About the deal we had, I wanted to ask you something.

Luke : Shoot!

Leo : Do you think it will be fine when I deal with that girl ? I mean do you think there will be bad consequences or something ?

Luke chuckled at the question. He wanted her off his back, so he was fine with it.

Luke : Everything will be fine. Don't worry. She might be rich, but not powerful enough to go against us. Rest assured.

Leo felt relieved after reading it, but he still had a small doubt in his heart. He was about to say something when he saw another text.

Luke : Don't think so much about it. It will be fine. I promise.

Leo smiled slightly at it.

Leo : Okay.
