"Whats wrong Sandriya?You were always excited about getting married.When did all that change?"

" Its nothing"Sandriya tried to avoid the question.But Merissa didnt show any sign of giving up.

"Do you like someone?"

" No...its nothing like that" Sandriya denied"How about this weekend are you free.I will ask Adams to free my Schedule?" she tried to change the topic.

"Dont try to change the subject"Merissa said holding her by the shoulder and made her sit on her bed.

"Whats wrong dearie?"Merissa urged her to answer.

" I just dont want to"Sandriya answered bluntly as she pushed Merissas' hands away and stood up from the bed.

"And why is that you dont want to?"

"I need to earn more money and..."

" Shut up"Merissa interupted.

And like that a conversation that started softly now began evolving into an argument."From when did you become this greedy.Its nothing like you.Dont lie to me"

"No,I dont have any reason to lie to you"Sandriya argued back.

"Do you think you can fool me?Think about uncle and aunty.They are not getting any younger.Do you think they can take care of you for the rest of your life?"

" I am not a baby anymore.I can take care of myself and I dont want anyone to worry about me" Sandriya holding back her anger.

"They will stop worrying only if you get married"Merissa tried to convince her

"Stop trying to persuade me into doing things I dont wish to" Sandriya answered still trying to control her anger

She tried to walk to the study room but Merissa grabbed her by the arm

"Dont tell me that you are still in love with that jerk from high school"Merissa tighted her grip on her arms

But Sandriya didnot answer.She just lowered her head.

"So I am right.You still have that jerk in your mind.It has already been 7 years and here you are still thinking of that jerk"

"Dont you dare call him that again" Sandriya warned, her hands balled into a fist

"Then what else do you expect me to call someone who just ran away without a word?"

"No he didnt" Sandriya replied,bitting her lips to suppress her anger amd her eyes started to well up.

"Dont keep supporting that je..."before she could finish her sentence,a slap landed right on her cheeks.

That' s enough.I dont wanna here any of your nonsense .Who are you to decide whats good for my life?From now on you better stay out of my life.Dont you ever show your face to me again"She yelled.

Before Merissa could respond Sandriya had walked into the study room and slammed the door behind her...
