2 Shadows

With all the traffic it was already 11pm when she reached home.Her mom was waiting eagerly for her at the dinner table.She went upstairs to her room ,tidied herself a little and got down for dinner.The family of three had a good dinner and sat themselves on the sofa in the living room and discussed some routine family stuff.Mr.Andrews, her father,was a 50 yr old man and he had the presence of a family head and Mrs.Andrews,a typical house wife.Soon after their conversation was over the trio proceeded to their respective bed rooms...

Back at her study table, Sandriya was going through some documents for a meeting next day.It was already 1 am when she finally closed her files and set them aside.As she was lying on her bed same question crossed her mind again.

"What exactly was my dream before everything started-just a simple life and loving family with enough money to make a living.Who would have thought fate had other ideas?" turning on the bed for quite sometime she finally dosed of to sleep.

The next morning,the sky was covered with dark clouds with no trace of sunlight and it was raining heavily.It was announced that the rain would continue for the next few hours.

Sandriya looked out of her window.The rain did not show any sign of stopping.She made a quick call to Mr.Adams ,her secretary."Good Morning mam.Is there something I have to do?"Mr.Adam asked politely from the other end.

"Good Morning.Arrange for a video conference with the clients of the insurance corporation.I dont think i can make it to the office in this rain.Schedule it around 11 am.And as for the other meetings today ask the vice president to handle it and i want a complete report by evening"

"Certainly,Mam" and the call ended.Only on days like these could she probably get a day off.She got up from her desk and went to the floor to ceiling window and stared at the backyard watching as the rain poured down.

"This scenerio looks extremely familiar.Just like the one 7 years back" thinking to herself ,her eyes fell upon the old bus stand that stood just outside their compound.Her lips curved upwards."So after all these years you are still lurking in the shadows of my mind"she sighed...
