15 Just friends

"Sandriya wait.I'm Sorry"Jonathan yelled as he ran behind her.But she didnot stop.Instead she started taking large strides away from him.Seeing her move fast,Jonathan increased his pace and grabbed her by her hand.She tried to free herself but his grip was too strong for her.

"For a girl,You sure run fast Dearie"he said gasping for breath,with one hand on his knee and the other holding her wrist.

"Don't call me that you idiot"saying so she turned to punch him in his face.But he was quick and grabbed her hand with his.

"Now tell me why shouldn't I?All your other friends call you by nicknames.Why shouldn't I?"he asked in a serious tone.As she was locked and couldn't escape she had no option but to answer him.

"Because all my other friends are girls.You are the first boy friend I have ever had.So its new to me"she said flustered.

"Boy friend huh?"he asked in a teasing tone.

Realizing what she just said"No no.Thats not what I meant to say.What I meant was you are a boy and you are my friend.Don't think too much"she corrected quickly.

"Oh i see" he said softly releasing her hand.The two became silent.

"I am sorry.I shouldn't have teased you even after you said you didn't like it."he smiled apologitically at her"Its just i didn't have any friends in the past and i didn't know how to behave" he then said leaning against the wall and looking up at the sky.Sandriya felt sorry for him.After being silent for a minute,she said "Its alright.I shouldn't have yelled at you either.Lets just call it even okay?"and smiled brightly at him.He turned and smiled at her.

"Does that mean we are friend again dear-"he paused mid sentence as he saw her glaring daggers at him and pursed his lips.

"Listen Mr.Jonathan.We can be friends,only on two conditions"she said pointing her index finger at him.

"Firstly,Stop calling me by nicknames.Secondly,Don't tease me.Thirdly"

"Didn't you just say there were only two conditions"he pointed out

But she continued not minding his question.

"Thirdly,We are friends and we are gonna remain good friends.Nothing more.Do I make myself clear?"she questioned

"Yes mam." he said raising his hand in defeat.

"Now swear that you will follow the conditions"she said childishly.

"I swear " he said crossing his heart.

"Good.Okay Lets head back.Its almost time for the next class."Sandriya said

"Okay"he nodded.

The two entered the class.

"Where were you two?What took you so long?" Cathy inquired.

"It took me a long time to calm Little Miss angry bird here"he said pointing at Sandriya.

"Didn't you just agree that you won't call me by nick names?"Sandriya asked annoyed.

"Or should I just call you Shorty"Jonathan continued without paying attention to her.

"Shut up you idiot"she yelled at him.

Cathy and Elena couldn't help but laugh at the way the two argued.

"Ok you two.Don't start from the beginning again"Cathy finally said.And the two finally calmed down sitting on their desks.

Seeing Jonathan being so close to Sandriya,the other girls couldn't help but be envious of her.

Soon the bell rang and the class started...
