6 Bliss

Sandriya turned around and Merissa was standing right behind her with a teasing smile on her face.Her face immediately turned bright.The two hugged each other

"Look who has finally decided to show up."Sandriya teased giving her a gentle nudge.

"Like you are the one to talk"Merissa asked back

"I....i" Sandriya tried to explain

"Yeah i know...i know...You have a busy schedule" Merissa said hurrying her to sit down

"Yeah so when did you come back from the States?"Sandriya inquired pouring hot ginger tea into two tea cups.

" A week ago"Merissa replied taking a sip of the tea

"And when are you planning to return?"

"Come on Sandriya.It has been two years since we had time to talk and the second question you ask me when we meet is when am i planning to leave.Seriously."

" Dont misunderstand.I was just asking so that i could free up my schedule a bit and we could go out somewhere ,like old times.It has been 7 years since we hung out together"

" If thats the case...I will be here for almost a month.Stanley has some business works abroad so he wont be home for about a month or so.So i took the time to visit you all"

"Ok then...I will make arrangements and inform you about that.And yeah...i almost forgot.How is Stanley? Is his life treating him well after marrying a demoness like you?"

"Yeah....he is doing good"

"Hey! who are you calling a demoness?"just realising what her friend called her she threw a pillow on her.

The both laughed and made fun of eachother.

" So is he taking good care of you?" Sandriya asked

" Yeah he sure does not to mention he is rich.But that doesnt mean i love him for his riches.The bound between us is something money alone cannot buy"

" I know Merissa.You have always been a kind person or how else would i have got a good friend like you"

Merissa was born into a rich family.Money never mattered to her.All she wanted was people to love her for her and not for her money.

Outside the room Mrs.Andrews had been knocking for almost 5 minutes

"Sorry to interupt you girls.You two were busy chatting and didnt notice the knock at the door.So i had to excuse myself in."

"Its ok mom"

"I just came in to ask if you girls needed anything"

"We are fine aunty.We just had some tea."

"How are you aunty?"Merissa greeted

"I am fine darling.Thank you.By the looks of it i assume you are doing well too" Mrs.Andrews smiled gently." How are your parents?You should visit them more often.The last time I saw your mom she was worried about you and said she misses you.You see we mothers,worry a lot about our children even when they are all grown up" she advised.

"Ok aunty.I will do as you say"Merissa nodded.

" And honey, When are you planning to have children?" She asked

" Children?I will become a mother only after Sandriya gets to married.I dont wanna look old and let her be the most beautiful lady on her wedding" She teased "Also i have promised her that i will be her bride of honor" she answered excitedly.

"In that case,You should ask your friend to get married soon" she said,her voice with a trace of worry.Saying so Mrs.Andrews left the room.

Merissa turned to look at Sandriya.The joy and brightness from her face had disappeared....
