The Lords Most Faithful Servant!

Falling asleep was nice, until I was dragged into a starry sky and standing on a black oil like lake. As I looked around for something to tell me what the hell was going on dozens of fireworks shot into the sky. The Hat spun into existence among them and flew down to me. This time it spoke, "Successor, I your humble servant Arrodes greets the successor!" I'll admit I was stunned but taking things in stride works as well, even if the only response i could muster was, "Nice."

It was almost funny to see how the hat deflated. but it perked up quickly and started to explain a little more, "Successor! Welcome, I am here to potentially answer questions and to assist the successor in understanding the powers of my former lord. But I must warn you the successor of a few things! Some of what gave my lord so much of his power and the others like them was the cumulative will behind the former ingredients of the Beyonder pathways. This has lead a drop in strength for what the pathways can grant the successor. In the end much of what made my lord and many others like them strong was the corrupting will behind the Beyonder ingredients of the great old ones." it took me a second to understand what he was speaking about. It was one of my favorite stories after all.

"So your saying the madness behind the powers of the Beyonder pathways is no more?" 

"That is correct successor, This is both a blessing and a curse as the fuel for the abilities of the pathways will be further limited. The growth in Spiritual energy will no longer be as great when climbing the pathways. Upsides to this are the successor is able to grow the pathways together instead of rising only one such path. As instead you are already a Lord of Mysteries only your strength is limiting you use of the abilities."

Interesting, so am I still human then? questions for later it seems he isn't done yet.

"But your honorable and greatest servant has come up with a plan for this after we saw two separate universes. An idea which after much deliberation we thought viable. Due to the nature of the Pathways I believe we could use alternate energy sources to use for the pathways. Doing so would lighten the burden on the spirituality present in the successor. But the downsides of this method are we will need three separate energy sources in the body to account for this discrepancy. Other than this we must take into consideration that without any source of said energy in the body we will not be able to use that pathway's abilities and later authority, as it will be dependent on it."

"The downsides seem minimal in this case then Arrodes. but would it be possible to mix the abilities of separate pathways? such as the seer and Astrologer abilities?" I couldn't help myself with this one question at least. "Successor, we are breaking into new ground! Testing such things will be necessary in the future. If we move along this path but I believe it will be the most helpful for the future and the mixing of energies will be needing to be tested." "Fine, it doesn't seem as if i have much of a choice do I?"

Arrodes spins at my words in joy, "Thank you successor! Now that this has been settled i would like to formally introduce the powers of the Lord of Mysteries! The three pathways of the lord of mysteries are that of the [DOOR], the [ERROR], and the [FOOL] pathways. Their starting Sequences are The Apprentice, The Seer, and The Marauder. Due to your choice of using separate energies to fuel these pathways we will need to decide what energies will "fuel" the pathways. This will lead to you not being able to utilize a pathway as you only Currently possess two separate energies. The first energy is naturally Spirituality. This energy comes from the core of a soul and due to the successor's change into a Lord of Mysteries this energy will see a gradual growth over time. This energy will also expand as you move higher into the pathways." 

"And how will I be moving up those pathways?" I interrupt. "In due time successor! I haven't had the chance to speak in quite awhile after all successor..." I almost felt bad for him, then the memories where he pranked the guy from the Church of the machine god or something. Yeah, not much sympathy for you my friend. "Successor, Did you just think of something rude?" "Nahh, continue on"

"The second energy we have been exposed to and are also using is Mana or Magicka as it is called here. This energy is very physical in nature but seems to originate from both the body and soul simultaneously. It also is being subtly absorbed from the surroundings. Not enough to truly make a difference in quantity but it is changing the natural Mana in your body to more closely resemble the Magicka. There are differences though as each individual I was able to sense was, unique. Their Magicka almost acting as a fingerprint. by this we can also see its adaptable and versatile in nature as your memories suggests." So he saw my memories? Well that's worrying knowing him.

"Successor, what pathways do you wish to bind these power sources?" Only had to think for a moment to be honest. "The seer pathway should be spirituality, no doubts about that. in the meantime I believe we should hold off on the marauder pathway. Its nature and such will be more detrimental to my growth in the early stages, I believe. That's just what my instincts say." sighing at the end of my words. "Wonderful successor, so I can understand you wish to bind the apprentice pathway to Magicka?" "That's correct, Arrodes." 

"Now before I go any further successor I will explain the progression path I was able to create! Using your memories of the different "games" and "Anime" you have seen i saw fit to include this into your pathways' progress!" With a burst of fireworks a new scene was pasted into the sky. Constellations of bright stars moving into shape with a halo of an image around them. 

"Taking inspiration from the game of Skyrim i have built Constellations for the progression of your pathways into three shapes. The Gloves, reminiscent of my Lord's own choice for the shape of the [ERROR]'s uniqueness. The Hat, chosen later as my lords choice for the [FOOL]'s uniqueness's shape. The Staff of Stars, as the shape of my Lords choice for the [DOOR]'s uniqueness. These constellations each hold nine stars for the sequences leading to the Authority of the corresponding pathway. As you have no doubt noticed, with your choice the marauder pathway is not as bright as the others." Arrodes spun and circled around me as I was gaping at the sight. I will not doubt he knows his showmanship.

"Continuing successor, The pathways will progress with your deeds that satisfy the Authorities. While they are yours they have not completely resonated with you. Instead of the Acting Method, as it originally was, it has been decided more of Roles that will be played for each pathway. An example of this would be the [DOOR] authority has resonated with the role of a Mage. Feats of magic and milestones in your journey will loosen the restrictions of the pathway allowing the use of their abilities. But a fact must remain! You are a Lord of Mysteries! They are your Authorities, if you can find ways to use the Authority in question without the pathway abilities or even temporally use those of higher sequences despite the restrictions it is normal. But the successor should be aware that these restrictions are placed so that the successor doesn't harm or even kill themselves." 

A lot to unpack there. So that begs one really distinct question for Arrodes, "So, old buddy old pal. I need a straight answer on this. "Am I already a god then?" "By the definition of a being possessing Divinity and Authority, Yes. But a being able to exercise said Authority, and bringing forth the aforementioned Divinity to bear upon the real world no. By the closest definition I could give from your memories is the example of Percy Jackson before he knew anything about his powers and abilities. You have power but no ideas of the ways to use them. Nor the physical body able to bear them" "...Fair" "Another question, since you have seen my memories what do you think the likelihood of replicating some of the magics and or abilities?" "Successor, as I understand it you were a "Weeb" as your world called it? Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should." I openly gaffed at that! "What's that supposed to mean!?"
