A lord of Mysteries wandering with a Sword

At the end of the Lord of Mysteries' life of many years of watching the world die out, it had finally ended and so he sought a different end to his own powers. He would leave it to chance. For another soul he would see the end of his life ended in a more, horrific fashion, to most. A final destination-esk ending one would even say. as his soul wandered its way a flash of light and he is no longer aware of where his soul is moving shifting colors and bright streaks of light and he finds himself in front of a fiery blaze. A new story for one who was to become the wrought iron hero, and a new beginning for the current one. —————————////—————————— planned worlds include but not in any order; Tamriel: oblivion and skyrim (different visits) JJK Universe all artwork is owned by their respective owners and all characters from their various franchises are owned by their respective companies. The Emiyas do what they do best (part 2)

(AN: finally have my Laptop up and running. Should make writing this a bit smoother compared to a phone. Apologies in advance for the shift in how it looks, BUT i will double check it on my phone before and after it goes out. This is for entertainment just as much as it is for you as it is for me to write. Would love feedback as it helps more down the line. With love for the few starting, Killjoy.)

As Shirou began the process of building up the fried chicken and rice dish in the pan I shuffled over to the wash bin to clean up a few plates. Might as well since it will take him a minute or two to finish the dish. From humble Skyrim dishes to Japanese style? Well if it could be called that. This at most is a fried rice dish with leftovers. BUT, nevermind all that, we got work to do. Rearranging the stool once more I was back next to Shirou as he tossed everything together. Sitting on my newly crowned throne I waited for him to finish up and passed a plate over for him to put a serving on.

"Fried chicken and rice for Mama Sarah and the cook Greta!" my cheerfull voice ringing out to the stunned crowed. Shirou deciding to be a voice of reason to my nonsense says, "You should take a seat out there and we'll bring it out. since you've been on your feet so long anyways." and they could appreciate that. The smells alone from our little fiasco dragged the lot of just about everyone from the tavern to watch. it was kind of funny seeing them all scramble away at Mama Sarah's urging. With them sitting in the middle of the tavern as we walked out I could see many throats move in unison gulping down their saliva.

"So here we are, two servings of fried chicken and rice, tell us what you think?" With them grabbing their wooden spoons in wonder at the dish I was truly wondering what they would think of this style of cooking. At least in this time period food wasn't the most researched thing. But the awkward moan/groan from the two ladies brought me from that line of thought as well as them going at their plates like starved wolves. Shirou just crossed his arms with a grin from that though. It might as well have been expected considering there are two of us cooking. Despite what anyone can say; its not our magic or the whole hero thing Shirou Emiya is known for, among friends at least. Greta was the one to recover first from the feeding frenzy that just occurred. "HOW IS THIS SO GOOD! Alright you got the job that's for damn sure. I just want to know how to cook anything like this. I've been in this city for years and just the rice alone is better than some of the food from the imperial palace!"

That's a fun fact. Didn't know they were able to go there. Maybe the people connected to Granny Viola aren't all that simple? "I'd be happy to help out, we can talk more tomorrow about that. Since its starting to get late was thinking we'd pack it in. Just need the blankets and bedding Madam Viola told us we could get here." Sarah chimed in, "Sounds good to me, just give us a little to recover from that. It was delicious. I'm more surprised that you don't open a restaurant instead of that old blacksmiths shop." "It's something were good at with good money involved. That's all there is to it mam." and my spastic self just had to ask a burning question, "Do I still get my sweet roll?"

I DID in fact get my sweet roll. Gretta all too happy to make one in the time we were waiting. Turns out she keeps the batter for it in a separate area from the pantry resting. That being the reason I didn't see it earlier. It was great! it had used moon sugar in the base which could explain the more addicting side of it. Being a wonderful dessert to end off the night I shared a little with Shirou. He had his own complements to the food. A bit too sweet at the end for him but he had a reminiscent but melancholic smile after that. Now though we were headed back.

The walk back was quiet besides the noise of crickets. looking up and seeing the night sky was beautiful. Two moons shining down along with the nebula of colors filling their surroundings. the silence between us was finally broken by Shirou who was also looking up. Almost breathlessly he said, "Thank you." I wanted to say something but I just couldn't find the words. That phrase and how he said it was far more loaded than I could ever imagine. The start of "This" was awkward to say the least. With I'm sure was borderline panic. So many new things being thrown at us in a short time. and that's not even considering the Alaya thing.

"Many, MANY, times I wished I could be free. I almost still cant believe I'm free. The many times where I was just going from one battlefield to the next. From one assassination to the next. From one extermination to the next. Alaya was relentless, and I was her pawn. You saved me from that, and just after Rin told me to do better as well. Thank you Azarius."

I just wanted to say something, anything, to him after that. I wouldn't be able to know if it was me being a child again or some other mystical bullshit but my vision was blurring looking at the sky. We were stopped now in a more open section of the city. as I turned to him I just grabbed at his legs and hugged. He placed a hand on my head and we finally relaxed for the first time coming to this world.

Took a bit to get back to the shop. It wouldn't have taken so long we didn't stop, but we needed that. Going a hundred miles an hour non stop can be exacerbating and stressful. Shirou almost not taking the second set of bedding but i was adamant about this. Sleep was necessary even if he was a Heroic spirit at least it was now. laying out our bed rolls of furs and wool I was grimacing, but tired. wrapped up in those it didn't take long to sleep. When I finally did I was in for a bit of a surprise. For the old servant of the Lord of Mysteries had some plans for my sleep.
