8 Old memories and Making New Ones Part2

Violet quickly tried to qualm her growing aggravation.

"Maybe I just left something in her car." Violet thought to herself trying to rationalize to herself why Harmony was there. Even if that was so though, it still didn't explain why the other two had tagged along with her.

"Can I help you?" Violet asked, trying to keep her emotions in check. Harmony just reached out her hand, instinctively making Violet put out hers. Harmony dropped the 5 dollar bill that Violet had put in the cup holder, onto Violets open palm.

"I couldn't in good conscience take this, it was because of me that you missed the bus, plus I still stand with what I said earlier about it being a moron thing." Harmony said with a small smirk gracing her lips.

At this point Violet was completely dumbfounded. Harmony had not only basically come back at Sunset to give her back $5 which she could have waited till tomorrow to give back to her. But she wasn't like most people where they would have kept the money, it being free money, Harmony actually blamed herself for the situation. She felt like she had to take responsibility. "When in truth it was just an accident that she made up for by driving me home. I mean she could have left me at the school, and I would have had to walk home in the rain." violet thought to herself. Violet was really starting to like the gothic cheerleader more and more. Maybe it was because she was a kindred soul.

Out of no where Harmony started laughing. "You're not used to people actually being decent are you? " she said while laughing. Violet just smiled, she was befuddling her at every turn. "So what about those two, why are they with you? " Violet said pointing to Sam and Marcus who were rough housing right behind her.

"We ran into her up at the gas station, when she said that she was coming to see you we decided to tag along. She was really reluctant at first, but when we started following the car she took pity on us and let us ride since it was raining. She said we looked like drowned rats." Marcus said, while having Sam in a head lock. Harmony just sighed and shook her head.

"Well I guess we will see you at school tomorrow." Harmony said twirling her keys in her hand and turning to leave. Just then a torrent of rain came falling from the sky and crashing to the earth. Violet didn't feel comfortable with them leaving and it raining as hard as it was.

"Actually do you guys want to come inside, it's raining pretty hard? " Violet asked, " I mean unless y'all think I'm a serial killer." Violet said stepping aside allowing them entrance into the house.

"Well if you insist, there are worse ways to go than dying by a pretty girls hand." Harmony said walking in. Harmony's comment made heat rise in Violets cheeks. Which confused her. Sam and Marcus followed close behind Harmony making there way in to the abode.

"If you guys don't mind giving me a few seconds and change, in the meantime make yourselves at home. " Violet said running up the stairs, " and if you are wet do not sit on the couches." She heard a groan come from the living room from who She was guessing was Sam or Marcus. As quick as Violet could she threw on her pajamas and made her way back downstairs. As Violet walked into living room she saw Harmony sitting on the couch, and Sam and Marcus sitting on the floor with a grouchy look on their face.

"Y'all can turn on the TV if you want to, I got to call the take out place to see where my food is." Violet said to the group of people that were now in her livingroom. When no one made a move she grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, and tossed it to Harmony, silently telling her to choose something. Silence in the house freaked Violet out.

Walking back into the kitchen Violet grabbed the house phone and called the Chinese place. The same woman picked up the phone and then reassured her that the order was on it's way.

Violet felt bad at the thought of eating in front of other people and not offering them anything. She started to shift threw the take out menus that were still on the counter, until she found one for pizza. "I could always put my takeout in the fridge and eat it in the morning for breakfast." Violet thought to herself picking up the phone and dialing the number.

After Violet placed the order she walked back into the living room to find that someone had put on the wrestling channel. Harmony just pointed at the two men completely engrossed in the show. "I ordered pizza I hope that's ok with everyone." Violet stated to her guests.

"You didn't have to do that." Harmony said smiling at her, while the boys cheered for pizza. 'Men are truly simple.' Violet thought to myself as she shook her head at their childish, yet charming reaction to food.

The door bell rang, making everyone in the room jump at the unexpected noise. "Must be the Chinese." Violet said making her way to the door. This time it was the delivery guy. Violet paid for the food, gave the guy a tip and closed the door. Quickly she rushed to the kitchen and put it in the fridge so she wouldn't have the temptation of eating it, then made her way back to the guests.
