She is happy

[3rd POV]

She's stupid.

.

.

.

She is fucking stupid.

God, she is mind-boggling stupid.

She remember the time when she used to call the people who made friends in school stupid because it was going to end anyway.

If they were stupid then she was mentally ill.

"What am I doing?" She asked herself as she lay on her bed. Her eyes were fixated on the screen of her phone, waiting for a notification.

Saki fell in love.

She really fell in love, through the fucking internet.

If friendship made in school was brittle, what about her one-sided love for the person she loved through texting?

But who could blame her? This was the most amount of attention or interest anyone had shown to her.

This was the first time anyone had messaged her, it was the first time someone cared about what she did during the day, it was the first time anyone had a conversation with her, the first time they said they enjoyed her company and it was the first time anyone had called her beautiful.

Beautiful? Her?

Really?

Saki was a novice in love, no she was even worse than that. She was like a baby duck who was ready to bond with the first thing she saw.

In the doujin, she fell madly in love with the man who raped her and asked her to prostitute herself for money. Even with all the wrong things he did to her, she happily tattooed his name on her body and bore him a child.

That was how thirsty she was for love. Any kind of love for that matter.

And this handsome guy who also happened to be a celebrity was being nice to her and even messaged her every day. How can she fall not in love?

It was just not fair.

The fact that his videos, his life documentary and photos were available for everyone on the internet did not help either. She felt like she could get closer to him through that.

She thought 2D boys were so much better than boys in real life so she did not care about celebrities or idols, but fuck was she wrong.

He was perfect.

It was a wonder why he was constantly messaging her and giving attention to her. What is it that he saw in her? She couldn't find the answer but she knew there must be some ulterior motive. She had no confidence to believe Yuito was interested in her solely because of herself.

Perhaps was he planning to do something evil to her? Maybe he was trying to kidnap her or something since she looked like an easy target.

...

Her thoughts were cut short as she received the notification she had been eagerly waiting for the whole day,

(Hi) Yuito had sent her a message.

A beautiful smile bloomed on her face.It was a smile no one had ever seen because she never had a reason to smile like this for anyone else.

'He is 17 minutes later than yesterday. Did something happen?' She wondered as she enjoyed what was probably her favourite moments of her life.

The highlight of her existence.

Yuito and Saki text each other and send silly memes and videos. He also inquired about how her application to Itan High was going as they replied back and forth.

She rolled and moved around her bed constantly, the happiness and excitement she felt in her heart was a tickle that insisted movements from her.

She buried her face on the pillow which smelled like a specific perfume which Yuito had told her he used. There was also Calvin Klein underwear beneath her pillow, the same company used by Yuito.

It was creepy and weird, she knows. She was an otaku, she knew Yandere's behaviour when she saw one, much less when she committed one.

But she couldn't help it. In her digital relationship with Yuito, she wanted to be as close to him as possible.

She let out a smile when she got to learn one new thing about him, his shoe size. It was something she couldn't find on the internet, meaning it was information most of his fans could not know.

She felt special when she got to learn this about him.

But suddenly, all of her happiness disappeared as it was replaced by emotions which are bigger and more intense than mere happiness.

--------------

(Yuito : Hey, let's meet up tomorrow.)

(Saki : Wait, what!!!)

(Saki : Wy so suuden?)

(Saki : *WHy)

(Saki : *Why)

(Yuito : I have free time. We can go to a salon like you said you wanted to.)

--------------

She freaked out, but she had every right to do so.

"AAAAAAAA!!!!" She screamed out loud before she covered her mouth.

First, she felt euphoria but it was soon replaced by cold sweat and anxiety.

He wanted to meet her? Great!!

She could see him again in real life? Fantastic.

But she had to also present herself to him? Not good.

She did not have confidence at all even though he might compliment her often. And she was an introvert, she would mess everything up if it came down to real-life interactions.

But still, her anxiety was overwhelmed by the sheer bliss that she was feeling. She would get a chance to be with him.

But wait a minute, why would he even want to meet her? She could understand messaging but was he actually willing to waste his time on her?

She said it before, but Saki believed Yuito had some ulterior movies as to why he was so interested in her. If not, a famous figure like him would not care about a no-name middle schooler like her.

Was this a scam? A trick to kidnap her?

Maybe Yuito would kidnap her or maybe human traffic her hopeful ass. It was possible that he was secretly a demon who feasted on virgins' blood to stay beautiful. She had read of shady celebrities like that in stories before.

Mayhaps he was going to knock her out and sell her organs.

.

.

.

.

But did she care?

Honestly no.

He could sell her organs if he wanted. He could ruin her life if he wanted. It would be a fair trade for the happiness and excitement he had given her.

He had literally painted her world with colours and let her experience different feelings that she would've never known.

Before she met him, she was just surviving. She was never happy but she did not want to die. Even her own mother think of her as a bother in the new life with her step father.

Animes and manga were the only anchor she had to life. But that all changed when she met him.

Life was worth living, because of him.

He had let her experience love. Whatever people's rude comment to that may be, it did not matter. She felt her own love, it was true.

Even if it was all a lie and he was really planning to do something bad to her, it was okay.

The happiness she was feeling right now was something she had never known in her life before.

So even if he took her life, her last words would be 'Thank you'

..

Thank you, for making me happy.

.

.

.

.

She slaps her cheeks to bring herself out of her thoughts. Yuito was a good person, that likely would not happen. Her mind was too delusional sometimes after watching anime and reading mangas.

Or maybe not, she was always delusional. Just look at her, falling for someone who would NEVER feel the same.

She might know a lot about him to feel a close connection but he did not know anything about her to even feel the same.

But it really doesn't matter.

In the end, she was happy.
