[3rd POV : Marin]

The two lovers slept on the bed together and in each other's embrace. They did not know or care about the outside world.

They felt at peace in each other's arms and deep down they did not find any need for anything else. They were perfect when they were together because...

Magic happens.

But their desire was not followed by the cruel reality. At one point they had to wake up, at one point they had to get up, and at one point they had to be separated from each other.

Marin was the first one to stir awake as her fever came back with vengeance after being stopped by the medicine Yuito gave her.

Her body began heating up again, a sigh that her body was trying to fight against whatever illness had befallen her. The heavy feeling in her head had woken her up.

Discomfort should've been what she felt the moment she woke up but the strong arms which held her lovingly seemed to cancel the discomfort.

With all the illness and high fever, Marin felt pleasant. Her mind and heart won over her ill body. She was happy, so she smiled.

She felt his strong chest which was like a wall with a soul behind her back, she trailed his forearm which was thick fibres of muscle tied on bone.

She swiftly turned around and she came face to face with his sleeping face.

His purple hair fell sideways and tickled his face. His nose was sharp and long while his lips were soft and thin.  His cheek was pressed against the pillow on one side, giving his usual masculine high cheekbone a cute appearance.

Marin wanted that face to be the first thing he sees and the last thing she see every day. She wondered how much more amazing life would be if such a thing was to happen.

His resting face did not hold any emotion and showed its natural state, undisturbed by moods or feelings. Marin felt like she finally saw his true face.

His guarded face was gone. His measured smile did not mask his true feelings. And his spectacular purple eyes were closed without distracting her from appreciating his face.

Marin stared at his face like that, observing his unmoving visage was like the most soul-touching movie and his rhythmic breathing was like the sweetest melody.

She wished she could continue this forever but her condition was getting worse. Her body started sweating and breathing was taking more effort.

Her head which felt like an anvil was on top of it before, now it felt like an ocean was on top of it. Her ears were ringing.

'Just a bit more.' she prayed.

But the answer to her prayer was no. Because Yuito finally opened his eyes, completely pausing everything that was happening in her body for a moment just to take in his eyes which glazed over with worry for her.

"Hey." She said, her voice was husky. She showed a strained smile.

She watched as the man she had given her everything to, fuzzed over her condition and did everything in his capabilities to take care of her.

She was still feeling sick but she felt assured.

She was in good hands.

[Yuito POV]

"Come on, let's go." I said while scooping her up from the bed.

"Is it necessary though?" She asked, her voice had been affected by the fever . She sounded weak and not like the Marin I know.

"Of course it is." I told her and walked towards the door with her in my arms.

"Wouldn't I be a bother?"

"Knowing that I left you alone while you were sick would be a bother." I told her as I opened the door and walked out.

I closed the door and locked it carefully after I was done. Then I walked towards my home with a sick Marin in my arms.

Her fever had gone worse after she woke up. I did everything I could to take care of her for the rest of the day.

But it was already afternoon, around the time when school ended and I needed to get back home. But I wasn't going to leave Marin behind.

She was going to move in with me.

I didn't tell her that though obviously, I just told her that she would stay in my place until she recovered. But I didn't tell her that I wouldn't let her go home.

I did not want her to go home to an empty house. There were some rooms which were empty in my house. It was meant to be a family home after all and only Sumire and I were living in it.

Talking about Sumire, I did not know how she was going to react to me basically taking home a girl but I could figure that part out later.

Maybe the author would find a way.

'Right author?' I asked the guy who had been awfully quiet recently.

{Of course, that's what I'm here for. And the reason I have been so quiet recently is because something happened which made watching you have a successful romantic relationship a bit hard.}

I hummed at the author's reply and continued walking on the footpath with Marin in my arms.

'I'm your friend, if you need anything just talk to me.' I said. a bit concerned with the thing he mentioned.

{Sure. But shouldn't we go see the doctor?} he asked and I turned my gaze to Marin who was staring at me the whole time but blushed and averted her eyes when I turned to her.

'Should I?'  I played with the idea in my mind. The Asian blood in me was screaming at me to not go to the doctor for some reason.

In the end, I decided to reach home first and think about that again. I did not have to walk too long as I saw a taxi on the road.

I caught a taxi and we rode it to my house. I could've carried Marin the whole journey but I didn't want her to be uncomfortable.

On second thought, she did not even need to be carried as the medication was working at the moment. We could've just walked but I didn't allow her and was giving her the princess treatment.

I got out of the taxi with her in my arms again and headed towards the entrance to my house. I knocked a few times since I could not open it with Marin in my arms.

"Mom!! Open the door." I also yelled to make sure Sumire was aware that it was me.

"Yuito!! Baby why did you skip school-" Her voice rang out before the door was even opened but her words got stuck in her throat when she saw me.

We both just stared at each other for a few noticeable seconds before I brought Marin's body higher to my chest.

"She's staying over."

Marin just looked at Sumrie with eyes wide and her mouth opened and closed as if totally speechless.
