Kurumi

I finished my bath and I dried myself in the bathroom before wrapping the towel on my waist and getting out.

When I opened the door, the sight of my neatly kept room greeted me.

Then my eyes immediately landed on the wolf who was sitting straight near my bed like a satue.

I looked at her with a new light in my eyes. I looked at her as if she was a girl rather than a wild wolf now.

I stared at her with a teasing smile and said, "Oh, you managed to dry yourself."

I was actually quite amazed how she did that. I also noticed the wet towel on the ground near she was sitting.

I put my arms up and grabbed the back of my neck before stretching my body, "Haaa..that was refreshing." I said with a relieved sigh.

It might look like I was stretching but in actuality, I was flexing my muscles and showing off my body which was perfect because of my Incubus race. 

And the wolf really did turn her head away in what I assumed now to be embarrassment. 

She was actually blushing. Holy shit.

{This is so fucking weird. Should I put the furry tag in my book now?} the author questioned.

'Hey!! I am not a furry. It is just very interesting situation I am in.' I said.

Then I went to my drawers and picked out my clothes and boxer before quickly putting them on. I was side eyeing the wolf and noticed how she was not peeking.

'Good. She is a not a pervert. Or even if she was, she was polite one like me.' I thought in approval.

At this point, my belief that she was girl reincarnated as a wolf was around 90%.

She was too smart and the way she acted was clearly not normal.

After putting on my clothes, I asked, "Are you hungry?" 

She immediately perked up and her tail began wagging. Yes, she was hungry.

And yes, she understood me.

"Well then, let's go." I said and brought her down to the kitchen where my mother was already heating up the food.

I asked my mother to prepare food for our new pet too and also specifically asked her to prepare the food just as she would do a normal human.

I placed her plate on the ground beside me and I noticed her hesitance to eat the food on the ground. It was another indication of my guess being true.

But not long after she ate the food and with great gusto too. She also asked for seconds, and third.

It was good that Sumire prepared extra food as she always did. And she also heated up some leftovers from the morning.

Dinner went well and even though Sumire was slightly put off by the wolf's presence, after a while she got used to it and everything else was normal.

After eating I helped my mother clean and during this time the wolf was looking around the house.

After that was done, me and my new pet returned to my room, The wolf was awkward being alone with me at first but soon she also got somewhat comfortable.

I played a movie on my huge TV which was in my room and we both watched it from the bed. Though meek at first, the wolf was enjoying my touch as I stroked her fur throughout the movie.

Finally I switiched off the TV as it was time for bed. It was still early but since I needed to get up equally early, I went to sleep.

The wolf tired to stay on the floor but I didn't allow it. Then she tried to stay on the end of the bed but I also didn't allow that.

Using my strength, I held it down and forced it to sleep beside me and cuddled with it.

It might be a strange action from my part especially since I knew that she was a reincarnated girl but I felt like I should do this.

I didn't know why but I have this gut feeling that I needed to wrap my arm around her as we sleep.

For her to not be lonely..I think?

Anyways, I just knew she needed someone and it would be nice if I embraced her in my sleep. Maybe it was [The nice guy] title acting up.

Or maybe since I now knew that she was a reincarnated girl, I felt like sleeping together with a girl and it was my  [The Degenerate] title acting up instead. Maybe I wanted to tease her because it gave me a twisted sense of excitement.

Honestly, I didn't know which one it was.

The only thing I knew was I wrapped my arms around her furry body as I slept.

"What is your name I wonder?" I talked to the wolf and it didn't feel weird this time because I knew she understood me.

It was quite tiring to always address her as 'the wolf' or 'my pet' in my mind. I didn't know her name.

Since I didn't know and since it would be impossible for me to know, I should give her a new name.

"Should I give you a name?" I asked first. She showed no movement for a while but then I felt her nodding.

I smiled and think up a name for her.

The colour of her fur, it was brown and she had orange mane. Something that should go along with that.

I thought up different names but one stick out from the rest.

Kurumi. Which meant walnut in japanese.

Walnut was light brown. Just like the color of the majority of her fur.

And in japanese, 'Kurumi' was very fun to pronounce and sounded cute.

"Kurumi." I called out and as if that was her name the entire time, the wolf-no. Kurmi turned to me.

"From now on you will be Kurumi. Cute right?" I said and closed my eyes.

I talked some more nonsense to her about how cute her name was before I slowly drift away to sleep.

Sleep was way too sneaky. I didn't even realise I fell asleep until the next morning.
