Eva walked through the corridors while thinking about what her papa said earlier.

'Is I'm ready for a marriage... absolutely not' she thought. suddenly someone grabbed her hand and pulled.

"hey are you alright? you seems upset". Neha Gu said. Neha is Eva's close friend from kindergarten. she's a pretty and bold girl with a sharp tongue. Neha was really beautiful in her ripped jeans and white top.

"it's nothing Neha" Eva smiled.

"what happened? Just tell me okay"

"I'll, but not now. it's time for class". Neha was about to ask more, then closed her mouth after taking notice of Eva's upset face. They both walked to their class.

When they reached the classroom, Aman Xi was flirting with girls as usual. Neha got furious and slapped on his back.

"who the h*LL..... oh my babe...." Aman hugged his girlfriend. Aman is a handsome guy and pretty rich.. Due to this, the girls attracted to him like how bees attracted to sweets.

"don't call me baby... I'm not your baby". Neha gave him a death glare.

"oh no you're my only one. my beautiful girlfriend". Aman coyly replied.

Neha's lips twitched.

Eva watched them fighting and shook her head as if she was used to their bickering. "hi Eva, how was the weekend?" Aman tried to change the topic. but both girls ignored him and went to their own seats.

The bell rang and the class started.

Eva was so absent-minded, that she didn't noticed how the 2 hour class ended.

"let's go to the cafeteria". Aman said as he took his and Neha's bag.

"You both go and have lunch. I don't feel hungry" said Eva.

Neha and Aman halted in their tracks and looked at Eva who was looking back at them.

" Neha, I'll wait for you both outside" Aman said then went out of the classroom.

Neha came to Eva and sat near her by adjusting her long hair. "Eva what's the matter? just spit it out."

"there's a family gathering today evening and I don't wanna go". Eva told her best friend.

"why? you're always cheerful when the talk about gatherings and party came. and you always teased me as I'm a party pooper because of my lack of interest in gatherings and parties." she laughed.

"it's just I don't wanna go". Eva pulled her hair frustratingly.

"okay come to my home then. my parents are also asking about you". Eva agreed to her friend and happily chatted with Neha while making their way to the cafeteria.

when they reached, Aman already ordered the food and was serving on their table.

The 3 friends enjoyed their company and went to watch a movie after finishing the meal.

Eva burped and smiled with satisfaction.

after the movie Aman dropped both girls at Neha's mansion.

Mrs. Gu cheerfully talked with Eva. Mrs. Gu is as beautiful as Neha even in her age. Neha Got her beauty from her mother, and her father was proud of it.

"hello aunty Gu". Eva greeted.

"oh my pretty girl, how are you Eva?"

"I'm good aunty Gu, thanks". Eva replied politely.

"uncle leo, please bring some fruits for our Eva ". Maria Zen said.

"yes madam Gu". uncle leo bowed and went to the kitchen.

uncle Leo is the butler of Gu household. He is a 70 years old man. But still as faithful as ever.

two maids bring the neatly cut fruits and placed them on the coffee table near the sofa, then bowed and left.

madam Gu was encouraging Eva to eat more while Neha sat their while munching peanuts. "mom, did you forget who's your daughter is?" asked Neha and grinned.

"I'm talking to Eva after a long time. I missed my pretty girl."

"aunty it's just 2 months". Eva said smiling.

madam Gu and Neha also laughed because of Eva's answer. The trio continued to talk.

"then how's Mr. and Mrs. Ye? I hope them doing well". madam Gu said.

"they're fine aunty Gu". where's uncle Gu?"

"your uncle went for a business trip and Nylon is back". just then a cough was heard and Eva looked at the place where the voice came from.
