3 Chapter 2: Childhood

Victor POV

It's been five years since I reincarnated, during these years I discovered some things about this world. The place I find myself now is the continent called Tecus, its size is approximately three times the size of the American continent. Apparently there are other continents, but my source of information, my father in this case, doesn't know anything about them.

About my father, he is the man who fed me the day I regained consciousness, his name is Haakon, he is an elf and a retired adventurer.

I believe he's what we call a druid, like, here the concept of classes doesn't exist but ninety percent of his skill sets that I've seen him use are similar to that of a druid, not to mention that he has an animal companion, Fang, the tiger I saw shortly after regaining consciousness.

Over these years I have learned the local language known as Common and now I am harassing my father to teach me Elven, I feel that with a little more persistence I will succeed. The thing I ask him the most is to teach me magic, but it never works.

I currently live in the forest called Majestic Ape Forest, it has that name because the animals at the top of the chain here are the dire apes that live in the center of the forest. It is located in the domains of the Ninutis kingdom, where 80% of the population is human and that is why my father prefers to be in a forest rather than a city.

I would particularly like to live in the city, living away without anyone from my age to play with and talk to is bad for my mental health, tink how would you feel if your only company is a tiger larger than 3.5 m and weighing more than 2 ton, because my father, as the protector of the forest, often needs to go out to solve problems in it. Until today I don't understand how he became such a "protector", but he always tries to come back for meals and spend the night with me, so I rarely miss him.

The "system" that revolves around this world is simple, there are five different status types that are ranked between E to EX. The same ranks apply for skills and spells and according to my father, every time you cross one 'barrier', for example going from E to D, you have a chance of getting a skill influenced by the status that has been transcended. The same principle applies for luck, but the probability that luck increases throughout our lifetime is extremely low.

In addition to getting skills by rank up, it is possible to acquire them by training. Regarding magic there are three ways you can get it, you must study and learn how to use it, be born with it and develop it for your use or acquire it by another means, which can be a deity or patron. Yes, gods and demons exist in this world.

In addition to ranks, both skills and magics, apart from some that are special, are divided into levels, skills go up to level 10. Magics, on the other hand, vary a lot.

How the titles work is something peculiar, at your birth you get one and the actions taken throughout your life can give you new ones or take away one you have. They can give you bonuses or penalties on your stats. For example, the Reincarnated I own.

Reincarnated: Whoever owns this title can choose when to rank up, if it is available. With it it is possible to see the numerical values of anything related to the status (only its holder can see it)

Initially I thought it was just for showing the numbers next to my status ranks, but this "anything" really means what it says. If I focus on the skills or spells tab it will show me all the skills/magics I have or the ones I'm still developing.

Skills: Observe D(Passive)[43%]

Magics: Create Water(Active) Lv 0[13%]

Every time my father uses this magic, I pay attention and make theories on how it works, unfortunately my progress is little, but I believe that when I reach 100% I will know how to use Create Water Lv1. With this I discover another function of my title and also of my Get skill Creative, according to the percentage of learning it is the lower cost to create the skill/magic.

My only problem is the LP, getting it is not difficult, a good meal, a good sleep, even the satisfaction of being praised by my father gives me points, but the amount and frequency with which this happens is absurdly low.

After seeing a figure approaching the clearing around the cave we live in and recognizing it I run towards it.

"Dad, what are we having for lunch today?" I ask my dad, who came from the deepest part of the forest.

"We will have wild boar". Haakon responds with a smile on his face when he sees the little one coming towards him and shows the animal in his hand. "Where's Fang?" He asks.

"He's sleeping, he got up when he felt someone approaching but when he saw it was you he went back to sleep and I came to meet you." I answer.

After that I "help" him make lunch and we have lunch.

"Hey Dad". I say looking toward the Haakon

"No". He replies.

"But I haven't said anything yet, how can you say no without knowing my question?" I retort.

"It's still too early for you to learn magic, you're a child so be like one and have fun without worrying about these things, when you get older I'll teach you how to protect yourself." He answers

"Tsk ok but then teach me Elven, I like to learn new things" I try my luck again.

"Ahh…" After a long sigh he looks at me. "Fine considering there aren't any other children for you to play with, I think it's the least I can do."

"Yay"

And that was how my childhood went. I believe that if this wasn't my second life, when I meet other people in the future, I wouldn't even know how to communicate decently.
