5 Dissipation, yet Rescue

Never before have I gone into a situation like this. You may think I have, but only with one person. They grabbed me and took my shirt off as they saw the permafrost part of the chest, beginning to punch and kick it as it cracked, I covered it as I went into a ball, putting my shirt back on as I let a tear drop, but that's it as they continued to beat me up. This continued for hours, hoping I'd be crippled enough so I could be taken away. All of a sudden, I hear a loud explosion, then energy coming right out of it. Pure energy, as it killed more people than it should have. But I opened my eyes, I saw only one man in white, staring down at the destruction. The man walked over to me, as I gulped in fear. I stood up and walked back, the man still walking over to me. He didn't seem mad, I don't know. The imp with a strong power of wind, the strong guy seemingly 8 feet tall, stronger than normal giants for sure, and the dark shadow man who was emitting a lot of shadowy power were all next to him as well. As they draw closer, I started to freak out. Did I actually join the guardians or a fake group? I'm too scared to really speak, as I got cornered as they were right next to me. The imp was obviously about 3 feet tall, shorter than me. Then I saw another man, one with black and white hair and normal clothing, as the five surrounded me before the black and white one said "What are you doing here and why are you here?" I couldn't say anything, as I felt as my mouth is too dry to speak. They gave me water as I drank it, chugging it down because of how little water I had. "Please don't kill me, I got taken here by some mercenaries!" I managed to blurt out, I admit that first line was stupid, but whatever counts. "And What did the mercenaries do to you?" the man said. I wouldn't answer, as it was a topic too... personal to talk about. "Alright, I see then." the man replied. The man sticked out his hand to help me, as I got up. "Thanks." I nervously replied, as they asked me one thing after that. "Would you like to join the Guardians, child?"
