"WOAH".. the car zooms past his face almost hitting him.

[F*cking idiot] Thought Josh with anger

"Why does almost everytime I cross this road it seems to have a speeding car almost hit me out of nowhere?? Yeesh" Josh said with a frown.

It just so happens that this road was not fully constructed and the people in charge of creating a 'safe environment' don't give much a damn as it wouldn't matter to even finish it as it's too high up on the mountains to risk equipment and men.

As he walks down the sidewalk to his way to school he notices one of his friend Henry standing at the gates waiting for him..

"YO JOSH I'VE BEEN WAITING AN HOUR COME ON MAN SCHOOL STARTS IN 20 MINUTES!" exclaimed Henry.

[Why does he always have to be so loud especially in the morning].. thought josh..

"Dude I'm like 7 steps away from you there is no reason to yell especially with so many people around Henry!" yelled Josh.

"Well take any longer with your slow pace and we can't have breakfast today is sausage biscuits!!" Henry says with excitement..

[BISCUITS?!? I forget that every week they serve biscuits on Mondays and they are always delicious and juicy- Best not waste anytime waddling!] "ON MY WAY!" Josh replies happily…

<8 Hours Later->

"What are you planning to do after school josh? You never come to hang out anymore since.. well you know.." Henry said while talking to Josh in the skate park by the school.

"I'm sorry I don't ever visit anymore Henry but family comes first and I'm trying my best to keep my mom on the line as long as I can since my aunt had to move away she doesn't have anyone but me and my grandma to care for her and my grandma has to stay at home to care for her." Josh said sadly.

"Yo cool move Drake!" In the distance some skaters were pulling dope moves while a sad plot developed behind them.

[DAMNIT…. Why did she have to get diagnosed with cancer- The way the world works is full of bull**** I will never understand when people say this is a part of gods plan.] Josh thought to himself angerly..

*Brrrr*

Hearing a noise from his pocket he reaches to grab his phone out of his pocket to look at his messages and sees he got a message from his grandma saying that something is wrong and he needs to come home..

[What the hell…] his mind was starting to stress..

"Henry I have to go- something has come up at home…" Josh says while starting to gather his school bag and bottle.

Getting ready to move he makes his way to the gates and stops as he hears Henry.

"Make sure to say to you Mom I said Hello! Aight?" He said with a smile.

Josh stopped momentarily before giving Henry a thumbs up and continues to and then out of the gates.

[Damnit why does this have to have to happen to me.. Why to her! This family is cursed] thought josh while feeling slightly sick in the head.

Ah.. Family.. a great way to get through life.. but not without its misfortunes.. of course one who has the correct ingredients added to the mixing bowl for example the members of a family.. the mother who cares for their child, a father who supports her, even siblings who can make life tough but still love you help every now and then.. but unfortunately for Josh his father… What a b*st*rd he was.

He took everything and screwed his mom over to fend for herself and have no support over the land they owned which they couldn't afford anymore.

Joshes residence in the U.S on the mountain side was calm and to the modern eye seen as a relic of the past as it was worn down and very old.

The dense clouds let out a downpour as Josh made his way home along the sidewalk by the road.

Thunder, lightning, water all of it was like a Hurricane of grief to Josh.

*Bzzz*

Grabbing his phone and flipping it open with a *click* , he sighs on what to do and reads a message on the screen

{I need you to pick up her medicine on your way home from the grocery store her coughing has become very severe- Grandma}.

Putting his phone back into his pocket he looks back in front of him while trying to cover himself with a worn down jacket in the downpour.

[Well crap it's by that death road.. I'll have to be quick! If there was any other way I would of course gladly take it!] thought josh starting to run.

On his way he sees the Speedway come into view on the sidewalk and quickly runs in out of the cold to find the required medicines.

"Yo Josh how's it going today? The usual?" Tom asked with a light grin.

Tom was an employee who worked here and was lucky as Josh was a frequent customer barely keeping this speedway still here and as time went on and on the 2 become well acquainted friends.

"Not today.. I need cough drops." Josh said as he shook of the water from his jacket at the door way then making his way to the medical isle.

Tom nodded his head as he went back to reading the daily magazine in his hands.

Finding what he needed which were 2 cough drop bottles he quickly went back to Tom at the counter and handed the items in front of him.

Tom, seeing Josh come back, put down the magazine and scanned the pills.

"$30… hmm they have been rising these lately!" Tom said while looking at the register screen.

Josh sighing as he had only 25 bucks for today handed him the money.

Tom seeing that he had only this amount smiled as he saw Josh droop his shoulders down.

"It's on me buddy don't worry." Tom said before taking out a receipt and handing it to Josh.

"Thanks Tom your the best!" He said giving Tom a high five and running out the door.

[Hes a great kid.] Tom thought before going back to his magazine.

Going back out into the downpour, the storms seems to have gotten stronger to the point of even causing a tornado alert in the area nearby.

Seeing this on his phone Josh begins his journey up the mountain as quickly as he can.

As he rushes down home he almost trips on a stuck out rock by the sidewalk but manages to pick himself back up only to realise that his pockets felt empty.

Reaching into his pockets he felt the bottles not there.

"Crap did I drop them?" He said while looking around below him.

He was indeed correct as near him the 2 bottles fell into a stream on the side of the road heading to a sewer drain.

[ Crap crap crap- GET BACK HERE YOU] Josh thought with a concerned expression while reaching out his hand.

The bottles both roll away turning and going every which way as if trying to dodge his grasp almost making it to the sewer.

"NOO!" Josh exclaims.

As he reaches out to grasp at least one bottle it stops abruptly in the stream of water.

Not quick enough to respond to the sudden stop he slips into a sign post and falls to the ground.

Rubbing his head in pain the remembers the bottles and turns to see both f them still there but stuck on a blue glowing rock.

While josh picks up the bottle in relief and happily starts to put it in his pocket he glimpses at the strange rock and sees something even brighter within the rock.

Picking it up he tried to rub the stone rubble off but to no avail then attempting to scrape it with his bales which seems to do the trick and in the middle of the stone he sees a small blue light surrounded by bright looking runes and weird language of unknown origin.

"The heck is this thing.. where did it come from?" Josh asks himself with confusion and wonder.

But before doing anything else a bright light illuminates the entire area from the sky below to Josh and strikes straight into his eyes blinding him.

[What the heck just happened.. what was that bright li- "OW MY HEAD" Josh exclaims in agony.

He tries to rub his head harshly to try and stop the pain but it doesn't leave for 2 straight minutes before dissipating.

"That hurt like hell what was that?!." Josh says with a quivering voice while he beginning to open his eyes revealing the area in front of him.

He suddenly realises that he is in a unfamiliar area and it is all covered in white with no end seemingly like the matrix movies he's watched at home before.

"HELLO..!"

[No response]

"IS ANYONE HERE?- DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I AM..?!"

[No response]

[What the hell is happening-what is this??] He thought while confused and scared as he yells and shouts in all directions but gets no answers.

The area around him felt like it was getting squeezed in but before thinking any further he hears a slight breathing coming from behind him.

Quickly jumping around he sees a short man in white and yellow robes sitting in a weird position with his eyes closed before opening his mouth.

"Young one do you mind to be a little quieter.. the area you are in is a state of peace and it has been like this for eons- silent and peaceful.. I could do without your yapping" says the old man in a harsh shaky voice.

"U-uh sir? I am sorry to disturb you but where am I and who are you?" Josh asks with a demanding tone.

The man slowly opens one of his old crinkled eyes to look at him and it darkens upon seeing josh and then immediately stands up to look Josh up and down examining him.

"W- what are you doing may I ask?" Josh says feeling embarrassed..

The man suddenly stops before turning to face josh.

"Well, this is very interesting I must say! I haven't seen this in quite some time!" The man said as he stroked his white beard.

"You haven't seen what in some time?? What are you talking about where am I?" Josh said as he become more scared.

"Oh! Apologies Josh! It's just been some time since someone has come here.." the man replied in a shaky voice.

"Y-you how do you know my name?!" Josh said as he was confused at this unknown person knowing who he was.

"Well simply put your name is practically floating beside you as all cultivators from my world can do so." The man said while returning to his position on the floor.

Surprised josh looked to his side but saw nothing and thought this man was playing tricks.

"Seriously! Stop playing games where am I!?"

The man sighed and replied.

"Your in the spirit realm young man! Surly you knew that coming here requires your mind and soul to leave your body right?" The man asked raising a brow.

"N-no? I don't know what a spirit realm is.. Is this some video game or something?" Josh said as he began looking around once more to still see nothing but white.

"Well to be here you simply need to die and hold the jewel of chaos." The man said.

"Wait I'm dead?" Josh said looking wide eyed at the man.

"Of course how else would you be here.. Would you mind telling me how you died? To get here one needs to do so with extreme energy aside from the jewel and it looks like you.. don't posses such things but who am I to judge!" The man says before laughing while stroking his beard.

Josh hearing this falls to the ground as he can't believe what he was hearing.

<1 Minute Later>

On his knees wide eyed josh couldn't believe what he was hearing..

Who was this man how could he say that he was dead..

He felt alive..

He must be crazy! How can he stand there calm and emotionless!

"How am I 'dead'?" Asks josh reluctantly.

"That's what I'm asking you young man! I don't not know how you died so I want to strike a conversation deaths are very interesting to me!" The old man says with a happy face.

[How did I die? Wait it was storming and he said you need to have high energy to get here..] Josh thought while turning back to the man who was humming a gentle tune.

"Tell me can lighting count as a source of energy?" Josh asked.

"Indeed! Although it would need to strike directly onto your body to count!" The man said.

[If this is all true then I died by lightning?! H-how can this happen to me?] Josh thought before tears began swelling up his face.

"What is the matter Josh?" The man asked as he crawled on the floor beside Josh before he sat next to him.

With no answer he decided to peer into his memories that went to the start of Joshes day with Henry.

"Oh.. This is indeed unfortunate.." The man says before his face turns gloomy and backs away from josh who sobbed more and more.

"You seemed like a good person in your life but a unfortunate person"

Josh thought back to his mother, What would she do without him?, He felt like he failed her, Henry, his whole family, and himself?

But everything around him fell silent and black as he cried himself to the point of passing out.

As I wake up to see I'm still where I am I let out a slow sigh and stand up to see the old man waiting there like before.

As I wait a moment to calm down and collect my thoughts I speak to him.

"What do I do?" Josh says with reluctance still not accepting this reality.

The old man responds "I am not sure as I have never had anything like this before happen on accident.. However as it seems the situation is dire.."

A click sounds through Joshes ears and he sees the old man pull out a old book full of pages from his robe and reads through a few before putting it back into his robe which seems like a vortex of space.

"You are in luck young man! Only something higher than a Nascent Realm Cultivator can do what I do!" The man said with a happy smile.

"As this is something I feel bad about.. I will make a exception and leave you with 3 wishes to be fulfilled to your disposal" says the old man confidently as he looks into Joshes eyes.

[3 Wishes? Is this a genie from Aladdin type of deal?] josh thinks feeling that this was suspicious.

He asks the old man for time to think and tries to think about what he should wish for and remembers back to his most favourite things in life when he was young that he enjoyed so much.

He remembers his most favourite movies ever! Godzilla movies that were produced from 1954 all the way to the 2000's and currently legendary and toho movies had came out one by one and none else have been produced yet after 2021 ending with a thrill of the renewed Godzilla vs Kong.

They were masterpieces viewed as an utter success by everyone but were trashed on by critics and reviews from companies.

They were full of crap as they did not see the true meaning behind giant movie monsters!

He thought back to the creepiest one of them all a living nightmare…

Shin Godzilla..

A moving disaster for Japans ministry of Defense to face and if he could have the power to evolve and get stronger in the form of one of his favorite movie monsters he wouldn't have to worry about protecting himself anymore.

He thought of the possibilities of gaining such powers as it was possible he could surpass earth Godzilla if he could continuously evolve along with some well placed wishes.

But then again why shouldn't I choose a wish to be a god and teleport back to live my life? Do you want to know? Well here it is! I want a sense of adventure in my life and my own way to live, so screw you for wanting a different story go find your own if you no like! Ha! Hey look I'm breaking the 4th wall!

While taking time and thinking of his wishes he came back to the old man who was standing there motionless and quiet like before before answering him-

"For my first wish I wish to be reborn as Shin Godzilla from the toho movies!" Josh says excitedly.

The old man looks at him like he was some sort of kid who found his favourite toy in the store aisles before then nodding and waiting for his next wish.

"For my second wish I wish that I had a system that granted me abilities to evolve and further strengthen myself towards the future" josh thought this would also be a good addition as he used to read all kinds of reincarnated novels and books.

The old man once again nods and waited for his final wish.

"For my final wish I wish…. to come back home.." he said happily.

"Now that's a problem Josh.. I can only take you to a certain planet with my book of techniques called Planet Sphyrone." The man says before seeing Joshes expression.

"I could however make a suggestion! If you ask for the power of cultivation of a starter it would help you gain abilities to find alternatives to get to earth!" The man said happily.

Hearing this Josh almost accepted hearing that he had the possibility of coming home but this lead to another thought..

He asked the man if he had the ability to wish for anything else and he had a smirk on his face but didn't reply.

Whilst thinking to himself he pondered around thinking if cultivation truly was a good choice.

From novels he had read it seemed that everything a cultivator did would be very challenging and extreme so why not give himself some slack!

After all, he's worked his entire life before coming here and he want to have it easy! What better way than to have the ability to turn into anything you want?!

"H-hey!"

The old man who was sitting idle in the air just floating around looked at Josh and slowly floated over to him.

"Mm did you find cultivation to your liking young man?" He said with a smile.

Shaking his head no, Josh quickly asks the old man a question.

"I've made my final wish but can I possibly redo my first wish?" Josh asked with a nervous look on his face.

The old man heading this slowly floated in the air for a moment before shaking his head.

"Sorry to disappoint ya Josh, but hopefully you can make this last wish count!"

Josh sighing to himself upon his foolishness for his dreams then began to stand more firmly and look directly into the man's eyes with a determined look.

"M-my very last wish, is to be able to transform into anything I want and retain the abilities it has!"

Feeling confident in his answer he awaited the man's response.

"Ho! This is quite a wish indeed!" The old man firmly layed his hands onto Josh and glared into his eyes seriously.

"Young Man, while I am able to complete this wish I fear it may grab the attention of some terrifying things on your journey in your new life…"

'Why do I feel as if I'm gonna die as soon as I get reborn…' Confused and scared Josh tried to ask the old man what he meant but simply snapped his fingers as his final wish had been granted.

"Well then.. These wishes were certainly something I must say! Took a lot of energy out of me to fulfil them but it is but a spec when faced against my full power!"

"Have a nice life young man your wishes may have been strange but they have a lot of potential!" he says with a smiling face.

Josh couldn't believe his ears he was so relieved and happy but that didn't last long as a giant portal opened behind him and sucked him inside.

Seeing what was happening Josh got scared and looked back to the old man who's face was calm and collected which made josh realised he didn't have to be afraid.

[For this life I hope I can defend what I love with my newfound strength] he said as the light slowly enveloped him.

"Oh yes! I forgot to mention your main body will be your very first wish and as the rules go it will be your strongest no matter what you turn into even if it's a person who can one punch the universe, but don't forget systems really do want you to grind!" The old man said with a headache as if he was talking from experience.

The portal then entirely engulfed him making him fall unconscious.

A small wisp of light slowly grew being shaped as if it were dough.

After what seemed like days the little wisp of light finally took a recognisable shape.

A small embryo with a lizard like fetid within..

[Touch of my own opinion the author- After finishing this chapter I search online to find other books to help and aid my thoughts for creating this book and in doing so I find a much similar book to mine called reincarnated as a Kaiju shin Godzilla which I read through the chapters. His book had a very similar start to mine and I did not realise this. I will just say his book has ended too early with a abrupt cliff hanger and hasn't posted or updated in years so after realising the amazing work he wrote I wish to attempt and continue for him but on my own lines and record]
