1 Only legends right...?

The dark room echoed as the cold rain fell. There was nothing to be seen even as a light mist of rain could be let in by the tiny window over head. The walls where stone, all three except for one with bars. A barely audible rattle sounded as she tried to pull away from the misty rain, but with no avail the rattle could only be intensified by her trembling as the rain continued to berate the building.

...

"Late! Late! Late again!" A husky voice huffed as he quickly rushed threw the halls. The clank of his armor was cushioned against the red carpeted marbled floors. With a bang he burst into the thrown room. The room had high ceilings that where meet by intricate white molding and walls that met the marble floors. A long red carpet stretched from the door was met by a bigger circular carpet with a gold crest. The gold crest stretched till it ended in between two gold thrones.

He fixed his disheveled brown hair took a deep breath and calmly approached the thrown helmet tucked under his arm. "Sir Lionel! How do you do on this fine morning?" The king announced with a smile and a wave. A sheepish grin appeared and with a wave he said," your grace it's one fine morning! I'm sorry to say that the birds did not chirp early enough to wake me in time." He then said to the king," What do we have in mind for the agenda today?" Lionel said with a gleam in his eye of excitement....

*45 mins later*

"I do not believe he's making me fetch a barrel of wine..." Lionel grumbled as he walked through the halls. He had long passed the servants quarters, given the kings trust, often he kept the wine hidden in some part of the depth of the dungeons.... but which dungeon does that happen to be? With a lantern in his hand he looked high and low only to eventually find a door that was labeled wine at the end of a dark corridor.

The light not being too bright Lionel could not see the second door seated in the corner of this door labeled 'wine'. This door was old and from with in he could hear a faint clanging.

'No prisoners should be here... we have not apprehended anyone recently'... Lionel thought to himself as he slightly leaned towards the door that was in the corner.

His green eyes darted around the dark hall searching for where the sound was coming from, but he had still yet to notice the door in the corner. With a shrug of his shoulders he pushed the door labeled wine open, lighting the few torches that where placed on the walls.

He had reached the older barrels in the back when he heard 'Clink! Clink! Clink!" Confused he spun around and surveyed the barely lit room only to find nothing. Continuing with wiggling the barrel of wine out of the back of this cellar a chill spread threw his body as he heard a barely audible moan. Spinning around again the barrel of wine fell over and rolled towards the door and with a bang and cracking sound threw the door in the wrong direction breaking it off. "Shit! Shit!" He cried scrambling after the barrel that had now entered the dark hall. By that time it had rolled out the door the slope of the hall grabbed the barrel and rolled it back towards the door only to go pass it and come to a resting spot in front of the door Lionel had previously missed due to the darkness. He looked at this door confused,' But there shouldn't be other doors to cells in this hall..?' He thought to himself. He had not come down to the dungeons often only when requested, but he had been down here enough times to know that when you reached this hallway the cells stopped or at least that's what he thought. * Clink! Clink! Clink!* echoed from behind this door and concerned that a prisoner had escaped from one of the cells in the front half of the dungeons and had hidden themselves back here for refuge Lionel quickly moved the wine barrel and with much difficulty pried the old door open.

Expecting it to be another room was shocked to find out that the other side was a set of stairs that went down below the dungeon. Lantern in hand Lionel started the decent down the uneven stairs lighting lantern as the staircase wrapped around a column. At the bottom was a hall lined with red bars. Bars that looked so old and frail anyone could break them. He walked slowly down the hall looking into each cell to be sure no one was there hidden. The cells in the front half of the dungeon where extremely small compared to these ones and also where in better condition. These cells had a musty smell that had a strange metallic tenge to it, and they had not been cleaned in what looked like centuries. *Clink! Clink!* echoed again and he quickly stopped observing the cell in front of him and fallowed the noise down two cells over. Even though it was day time and each cell had small windows located at the top, Lionel still had to push the lantern through the bars to get a better look at what he was seeing.

He did not expect his green eyes to land on a frail girl who was bound by wrist and feet hanging in the air. He could see the marks of recent and old beatings and the bones of her rib cage given the little to no clothes that adorn her. She was pale, almost as white as snow. Her uncommonly white silver hair cascaded over her shoulders down to about her waist, but he wasn't even sure if the poor girl was even alive as she laid slack in the chains head completely bent forward showing the crown of her head. The clinking sound was coming from the top of the chains where the window would let in a breeze jingling them around. Reaching the lantern more into the cell he leaned his body weight plus his armor into the bars and being distracted that there was actually a person down here Lionel was not prepared to fall forward with a loud crash and bang face first to the stone floor.

...

The noise threw the girl out of empty state. Her grey blood shot eyes scanned the room quickly as she tried with what energy she had left to push herself against the stone cold wall sending the numbing cold threw out her whole body. Her eyes landed on a lantern that had rolled to the space below her feet and her eyes widen in horror. 'He's going to have me burned today!' She thought frantically as she started to fight harder against her chains closing her eyes completely missing the fact that the person before her wasn't the person who usually came to visit her for her torture. Lionel lifted his head to see the girl thrashing against her restraints causing blood to seep our from where the chains cuffs wrapped around her wrist and ankles. He assumed they where from pervious situations like this and he picked himself up walking towards the lantern and picking it up. When he stood up straight he realized that his face meet the girls thrashing feet and with a loud smack and a thud she kicked in square in the middle of the face knocking him back on to his butt. He looked at the girl who's eyes where squeezes shut, face contorted out of fear. He stood straight at about 6'5 and reached for the porcelain white foot that swung around in his face that now had a deep red mark covering almost the entire top of her foot. She screeched when he touched her terrified and he looked up confused.'Im not the torture... why is she screaming? That's not my job... and why is she even here? She's so.... little... why would she be locked up way down here?' Lionel thought as he turned around to see how much damage was done to the cell bars. Luckily the only reason he ended up in here was because the gate on the cell was so old that it didn't matter if you did or did not lock it. He only turned around when he noticed the room go quiet. He looked back up at the girl really noticing at the pain that had physically be done to her, and then his green eyes met grey ones,"....What... what are you doing here?" Lionel questioned picking the lantern back up to hold it where he could see better. She started to thrash again and he took a step back to avoid being bashed in the face again by another slender foot. He watched as the girl try to pull herself in a ball, but could not due to the chains attached at the ceiling and floor. He sighed and waited for her to calm down again and thought of something else. "What's your name...?" He asked expecting more thrashing to be his answer, but when the chains didn't jingle he looked at the face staring back blankly and emptied of all emotion except fear. A barely audible sound came from her mouth and she looked down quickly again. Perplexed he raised an eyebrow and said," So you have no fear of bashing me in the face, but telling someone your name terrifies you?" Lionel questioned while taking a step back toward to shine his lantern on her better. She squinted her eyes and looked at him taking a deep breath she said," I'm Quenya Estel..." she glanced at him warily and continued." You aren't the one who normally comes here to visit me... who are you?" Lionel looked into the girls face. She looked young and barely any of the skin on her face was touched except for a fading bruise on her left cheek. She had big round eyes that you could easily get lost in and a fine little button nose." I'm sir Lionel. Sir Lionel Arely. I'm a knight. I don't do torture." He continued to admire Quenya's face more as some hair tumbled forward displaying one of her ears. Perplexed by its shape he walked to her side and held the lantern high to get better light."WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" Quenya bellowed thrashing around some trying to throw her hair back over her ear," IF YOUR A KNIGHT WHY ARE YOU CIRCLING A NEARLY NAKED WOMEN!?" She screeched trying to cover herself up. He jumped back at this realization and adverted his gaze from looking at her anymore than he needed to."Would you be opposed if I cane back and visited you later?" He asked quickly changing the subject of her appearance. She eyed him cautiously and seeing he was no longer looking at her she sighed,"Even if I said no it's not like that stop you, now would it? If that's how things worked I wouldn't be here chained up for you to gaze upon." The detest that rolled off her tongue shocked Lionel a little, but refused to let that show as he spun around on his heels closing the cell door behind him and with a glance over his shoulder he said,"I'll be back by later to see you." And with that he disappeared into the dark stair case on the other side of the corridor.
