2 Only legends right...?(2)

After leaving Lionel carried the wine to the kitchen quarters to return to the rest of his duties, because being on patrol was so much better than fetching things for the king all day. It's not that he disliked the man it's just the king's gaze made him a little uncomfortable. There was something cold and off putting behind those charcoal grey eyes, and he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Later on top of the castles stone wall he surveyed down below. People where passing through the gates scurrying in and out. "Over here! Over here!" Could be heard over the bustling street as kids kicked around a tattered ball. The tranquility of the castle walls where very relaxing. Lionel gazed into the village that surrounded the castle to a higher wall that were on the outskirts of what was considered villager limits. 'Good thing the king likes to keep me close.' Lionel thought turning his head to the clear sky. He had heard the story's of rude merchants and the occasional fights that would break out over at that wall, and he was someone who didn't like always dealing with daily or constant confrontation. Over here by the castle people where more docile, and that was how he liked it. Just as he was lost in thought a rough thud collided with the back of his head and turning around he could just see the top of yellow sun colored hair. "Off in your own mind again I see." He scolded while Lionel gave a grin and a wave to his long time friend. Erin was almost a whole head shorter than him with long blond hair that reached his shoulders. His blue eyes looked at him and then adverted his gaze down the wall. "Busy today aren't we?" Erin said and with a grin he looked over and said," Looking for a girlfriend down there?!" He joked chuckling search threw the busy street. Lionel gave a little laugh and punch Erin in the shoulder, but that didn't stop his mind from wandering to the tiny frail girl who barely had any light at all. He then straighten up and said," You know you should be paying attention really though. The princesses coming of age celebration along with the ogobai festival is also that same day, in just a few days."

The ogobai festival was celebrating the great ogobai tree that has been growing in the center of the village. People travel from all over Arda each year to visit the tree and this year the princess happens to be of marriageable age on this day this year. A flash of white hair had appeared across Lionel's mind that he quickly shook away, but Erin noticed to quickly and smiled. Sensing it, Lionel quickly took a few steps away avoiding the obnoxious question."Don't even think about asking that question, but your right the king would be very upset if someone did ruin these celebrations." And with that he strode off grumbling.

After his rounds where done he eventually met everyone in the mess hall for dinner. Eric had conveniently saved him a seat. He rolled his eyes and made his way to the table with his tray of food. They were already talking about the task they had to do today a lot of them where grumbling, with disdain looks."Guys! Guy just imagine we just have two more days till the festival, and we can relax!" Eric said raising his glass looking towards Lionel for help.

He looked at his food for a minute raised his mug and clanked it with Eric's with an approving look. But Lionel's mind was not there and he could not help, but ask his next question of regret.
