*Raon POV*
"Okay, class make sure to put this into your notes now let's begin on-"
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
The teacher stops midway through his sentence, he starts to walk to his desk. He answers the phone,
"Hello, Mr.Roberts speaking… Yes… Okay, I understand… I'll send him up right away. Raon? Can you please go up to the front office?"
"Huh. Okay, should I bring my stuff?"
"Yes, you will be leaving for the day."
"Okay."
I pack my school supplies into my backpack, grab them, and I leave the classroom. Just before I left the classroom, Mr.Roberts says, "Raon, I just want to say if you need to talk to someone or need help with something, my ears are always open."
"What?"
"You'll understand soon."
I leave the classroom with a confused mind. I start to head up to the front office, when I arrive I notice the front office employees are talking to a man in a suit. The man in the suit walked in front of me and said,
"Raon White?"
"Yes, I am. Who are you?"
"I will explain everything on the way. Just know I worked for your grandpa."
While we start to leave the office, I notice sympathy-filled gazes from the office employees. We start to walk toward an all-black car with tinted windows. While we both get inside the back seat, the other man talks to the driver. We start to leave the school parking area, and the man in the suit starts to talk to me. At first, he seems hesitant, however, he steels himself and says,
"Sir, I'm sorry to be the one to inform you, however, your grandfather has passed away."
"…"
"While I know you need time to grieve, I need to inform you of everything. The time of death was 23:49, and the cause of death was a heart attack. All relatives have been called to his will hearing. This also includes yourself. The will is to be read in a couple of hours."
"D-did he leave peacefully?"
"He passed instantly and without any pain."
"I s-see."
For the rest of the car ride, we sat in silence. I tried my best to calm my mind, however, memories of my grandfather replayed. I started to fall asleep, and my vision started to fade.
I was shaken awake by the man in the suit informing me we were there. I noticed a couple of cars in the driveway, however, I didn't recognize any of them. Now that I think about it, I don't know any of grandpas relatives. The man in the suit gets out and opens the door for me. We start to head inside the familiar building. The building was an average house. When we walked inside we saw a couple of people already waiting, an old man sitting down looks at everybody and says,
"This should be everyone, let's now begin with reading the will."
"Hurry it up, old man!"
The woman who shouted looked to be around her mid-30s, and had designer clothes and a handbag. I just silently click my tongue and ignored her. The old man cleared his throat and continued to talk,
"Okay, we shall now start the reading of the will.
I, Robert White, leave all my possessions to my grandson, Raon White. This includes all my shares, houses, cars, and employees."
"…"
"WHAT!"
"He can't do that!"
"Yeah!"
While the other people were yelling, I just stood there motionless in shock. The man in the suit that brought me, grabbed me and escorted me out like he expected this outcome. We arrived inside my grandpa's study. Inside was a letter on the wooden desk addressed to me. The letter read,
"Dear Raon,
If you are reading this then that means I'm dead. While you may seem confused about my will to your knowledge I only had this house. The truth is I am a billionaire, I own a lot of things, and now you own a lot of things. The man who brought you in here is my most trusted aid, he will help you with whatever you need. The only thing I hope you can do is to complete my final and last wish. That wish is to find someone who loves you for you."
"Wait, if your grandpa's most trusted aid. Why didn't he put your name here?"
"Well, he wanted me to introduce myself. I guess to help us bond better. My name is Shin."
"Well Shin, can you explain everything fully?"
"Okay, your grandfather was a billionaire with shares inside a lot of companies, had mansions and estates everywhere, cars, almost everything. Well, we will get to all that later, first we should deal with the other relatives. I have already called the lawyers, they should be arriving soon."
"Uh okay, this is still a lot to process."
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
Shin holds his finger to his lip telling me to be quiet. He then says,
"Who is it?"
"Shin I know you have Raon inside, let us in!"
"Yeah, we just need to talk!"
Shin looks at me, I then quietly ask him, "I won't be in any danger right?" He shakes his head, I then tell him to let them in. When he opens the door, they all rush inside the study. They all look displeased and annoyed, and they then all start to complain. While they tell me that the will was a mistake or make similar statements. I just ignore them and wait for the lawyer to arrive. I was just curious about who grandpa's relatives were, now I know they are just arrogant and childish. After their constant arguing and yelling, a group of people walked inside the room. One of the relatives yelled at them to get out, and the one who seemed to be in charge calmly said,
"We've been invited by the owner of the property. Now please leave our client alone."
Silence starts to engulf the room, and after a persistent effort, they leave the room. Shin then walks to the desk opens a drawer, and opens a locked safe inside. When the safe open stacks of papers are revealed. Shin says,
"These papers are the transfer documents for everything. Please sign here."
He points to the bottom of the page and hands me a pen. I grab the pen and sign my name.
I am now the sole owner of the entire White family's wealth.
