8 Chapter Eight

After making it to a secluded area Laelynn and William get into fighting positions.

"We know your there so you might as well come out!" William yells in their direction.

A group of men in all black approached us, it seemed as though they were coming out of nowhere to surround us.

"William Rodger and Laelynn Crest your are under arrest for conspiracy against Asterfel." Said one of the men.

A sudden shock flooded Laelynn's face.

"Wait, they said William was under arrest too. Does that mean he is a fugitive from Asterfel just like me!" Laelynn thought.

The face William made suspected he was thinking the same thing about Laelynn. What they didn't understand was how. They had never heard of each other but they were both from the same place and were about the same age. Suddenly remembering the task at hand they both snapped out of deep thought.

"And if we refuse to go back with you?" Laelynn argued,

"We were told to bring you both back. Dead or Alive." Another man said.

"Well I'll tell you this now, we wont go down without a fight." William boldly said.

Getting into fighting position the men in black all charged at once. With hard efforts William and Laelynn dodged and block their continuous attacks.

"This is coming out to be tougher than I thought it would be." Laelynn said exhaustively.

"True, but we can't let up now or we'll be taken into custody. And you wouldn't want that right?" He smirked.

"Correct." She smirked back.

It was as if they knew exactly what each other was thinking, and without saying a word after they both stopped and did something that instantly paralyzed the men in black. Only few people in Asterfel have this ability. A tremendous power that stops anyone it's used against. A sacred technique called Steraise.
